He made some really fantastic saves in the 3rd period! It’s amazing how much better top to bottom this team is with actual NHL level goaltending.
What’s crazy is the Avalanche have two goalies who are better than those selected for Team Canada
Blackwood should be on Team Canada.

like yes our entire fucking team is good enough to qualify for their national teams but if we make it to the playoffs uninjured we are bringing the fucking cup home. Fuck the olympics, I want cup #4!!!!!
Can’t believe he was catching flak on the TNT broadcast. Pretty much all the goals against were on second or third opportunities or off crazy ricochet
massive game for him. The confidence is growing. We need wedge healthy so they play 50/50 and both are fresh for playoffs.
Necas has been snakebit hard on a goal. He’s getting some decent chances but just can’t get one buried. With all the apples he’s been picking up can’t really complain too much, but hopefully he can start popping in a few more goals and get back on the wagon
I don’t get the sense that Bednar would want to trade Colton as he loves his game, has said so multiple times. He is up there on the Coach’s pet list with Brindley.
If Canada goes with Binnington and his .869 save percentage, it’ll make us US fans very happy. If they were smart, they’d take into heavy consideration the Lumberyard, Cale, Toews, and slap an A on Cale’s chest and have him get the blue line organized. But hey, go ahead and put Binner in the net, just makes our lives easier.
