Commanders DC Joe Whitt's message to his players on Dart: “The quarterback is a very competitive dual-threat guy. He will try to run the ball like a running back. He will try to run you over. He will try to stiff-arm. He doesn’t really run out of bounds. He doesn’t slide a whole bunch. We can get the ball off of him.”
Dan Quinn showed a clip of the big hit in the Patriots game and praised it to his players. Dart clearly has a target on his back as a runner based on the physicality he ran with earlier in the season. He's mostly done a better job avoiding unnecessary big collisions in his last three games

Told my friend Dart plays like Josh Allen in Baker Mayfield’s body (who also like plays like Allen)
Dart needs to run more carefully
Dart needs to at least dive low if he’s not going to slide, to avoid the hits but pick up the extra yards he wants.
In a perfect world, he learns to slide though lol
So many people in the giants community are trying to spin this like a bad thing. Sounds like a compliment to me.
Plot twist: Kafka starts Jameis Winston.
Dart will learn to run smarter. It will also help when we have playmakers at WR and RB so Dart doesn’t have to fight tooth and nail for every yard to will this team down the field. Praying for a brighter future soon.
Need Dart to get this man fired next year
Lmao I said that I would say this if I were an opposing coach in a game thread
[If I’m a DC I’m telling my defense to hit Dart as hard as possible any time he scrambles or runs because they don’t have to fear him sliding and them getting a flag. He’s sliding on about 25% of his runs if I had to guess](https://www.reddit.com/r/NYGiants/s/I5BfNzO425)
He has to learn how to slide. The league is going to headhunt him out of the game.
I really don’t find this crazy lol. I would expect opposing defenses to prepare like this when they play us given the weaknesses Dart has had this year.
At least now he can watch firsthand how opponents are prepping for him and talking about him.
Needs to watch some tape of Josh Allen. They both have a similar play style and Allen hasn’t missed a game in 8 years. He must be doing something right. Maybe he could pick up a few things from him.
Obviously a lot of actual Giants fans didn’t watch the last game because Dart literally did slide and go to the ground all game.
This may not be a popular opinion, but I don’t think the QB should be focused on trying to run like a running back. That’s the running back’s job. The QB is supposed to throw, hand the ball off, manage the game, and then run on occasion.
Focusing on the run – particularly when you’re not running smart – is not a good thing imo. It also makes me worry that it’s covering up other deficiencies.
I love the aggressiveness, but aggressiveness without using your head is not good strategy. Concussions alone are extremely serious and cumulative. It’s possible Dart’s poor play last game could have been the result of the damage he’s taken recently. I wouldn’t rule it out.
I think the best thing that running ability gives the team is that the opposing defense has to factor it into their scheme. It draws resources away from other areas and limits what they can do.
He needs to spend a good chunk of his off-season watching Mahomes and Rodgers tape as opposed to Lamar and Josh Allen highlights. Scramble when you need to, extend the play, but prioritizing availability is the ultimately what will lead to winning more than anything. Can’t compete if you’re always in the blue tent.
We gotta smoke Daniels next time we play him
