Report: Bo Bichette informs suitors he willing to move to 2B

This should be a green light for the M’s to pursue him seriously IMO

I too will move to second for any team that wants me
As he should. The guy has been a bottom two shortstop in the league defensively over the past half decade (WOW, CJ Abrams is awful). He should’ve moved 2B ages ago.

Maybe if he hadn’t gotten hurt this year it’d be a little different but the primary appeal of Bo was that he technically hasn’t even entered “prime years” and is so young for free agency but the guy has racked up so many lower body injuries I can’t imagine teams are willing to go longer than like 5 years right now. Probably why headlines like this are leaking
I used to love baseball free agency. Now it’s just insufferably boring

Why is 2nd considered easier to play than short?
Sounds like he’s not going back to TOR if they’re making this public. Seems like they’re Tucker or bust. I wonder how many teams want a 2B and are in that type of market though. But this could be really interesting for how it might depress the Marte/Donovan trade market if it goes on for long enough.
