Atlanta Falcons very UNFORTUNATE news

What is going on Atlanta Falcon fans, man? Y’all know what it is. It’s your boy Antoine Smith stopping in right quick to give y’all some news, man. And if y’all haven’t heard, you’ve been living under the rock. Got to give him a take anyway, man. Um, bad bad news for the Atlanta foul cuz I think it is an unfortunate time, but at the same time, um, it could be a blessing in disguise. And what I mean by that, injuries are something that we can’t prevent. It’s just a part of sports, man. But Troy Anderson, Zack Harrison, and Braden Trice uh have been announced to miss the rest of the season. It’s really no surprise for either guy. Uh even though Zack Harrison came back, uh this year, he actually uh to me was having a career year. And uh with these three players, um it’s going to be interesting to see what the Falcons do this offseason with two of them. Uh Brandon Trices won, Troy Anderson, and Zack Harrison. in that aspect um with Trey Anderson the last two years the last two years um he’s actually been on the injury reserve because exactly almost a year to well a year to the day today that um he actually went on IR at the same time as last year to today and it’s pretty unfortunate because I feel like Tro Anderson has talent But at the same time, the best ability ability is availability. So, with Troy Anderson um possibly missing the rest of this season, well, he’s missing the rest of this season going into a contract year. Um and this is his contract year. Sorry about that. Um it lets me think um he’s played his last down as an Atlanta Falcon. And if they want to bring him back, he’s going to be affordable because the vet minimum is 1.17 and he made 1 uh five, I think 1.5 and he has the ability because we saw his rookie season. He took Mike Walker’s position. So the talent is there. And the crazy thing about it, he was one of those guys that was converting from a quarterback running back to a linebacker, playing at the next level. And those kind of transition are always hard no matter what. So, what would a five to do with Troy Anderson when they bring him back on a one-year deal or will he try to catch on somewhere else? Or as I’ve been saying all season, I can see one foot into retirement because these injured just keep stacking up. And Mars told us, coach Morris told us at the beginning of the year he was trending toward coming back, but that never happened. So, it lets me think, how significant is this injury? And honestly, knee injuries and shoulder injuries cuz he’s had a couple of these last two seasons. And don’t get me wrong, his 2024 season was getting promising as well, but again, I was struck. So, with Troy Anderson, uh, if he comes back, and that also depends on the coaching staff and what they’re going to do in the front office as far as, uh, hiring a new coach, new GM, if they’re going to keep any everybody around, um, that all depends on Troy Anderson’s future with the Fousing. But personally, I think it’s done, man. Then when you look at Zach Harrison who’s also having a career season man um a 34 in a 43 in and you even s seen him stand up but the way that he progressed this season as his best season yet by far out of the three season then guess what knee injury happens comes back for a little while but soon as he comes back knee injury happens again so that lets me know he didn’t recover fully and Now this happens. So when you look at it, man, in in retrospect, he’s another one of those contracts, man, because he had next year is his last year, his deal. He’s at 1.7. And you look at the numbers the first three years. Um, he played in all but one game the first two seasons, even got a start. And this season, seven games, four and a half sacks. He was putting up the numbers. He’s he was going through a transition that finally being that breakout player we knew he could be a shot to A1 because A1 knows that Zack Harrison was one of those guys and we saw it at Ohio State in that Georgia uh Georgia uh semi-final game. So in retrospect man um I think Zach Harrison you have to find a way to sign him to a new deal. Uh yeah, like I said, it’s 1.7 next year. He’s worth more than that because if he plays through his contract next year, he’s going to want more money anyway. So, you just knock that out right right now. You knock it out. And you give him probably about a three $20 million deal and probably give him half up front. He’ll be satisfied with that. And last but not least, Brandon Trace, a guy that we knew could possibly be part of this pass rush. And shout out to the Falcons, man. They were at like 48 sacks. I can’t remember the last time we had that many, but shout out to um Jeff Brick and Nate Ali as well, but I think Brazen Tracks would have uh benefited off this as well because coming out of college at the University of Washington, another Husky. He was one of the best, if not the best in pass rush win rate. So, he may never get to, you know, see the field for the Falcons because guess what? even if he does come back next year, he’s going to be halfway through his contract. And can you really see what he got? Especially when um you have Jaylen Walk and James Pierce doing what they do. But what could save him? Arnold Ebetti is a free agent and Lorenzo Leonard Floyd, not Lorenzo, Leonard Floyd, uh is a free agent as well. So if he comes back, gets healthy this offseason and he finally hits the fields, we can see what he does. um it could work out for him, but he’s about in that same boat with Troy Anderson as far as injuries, two seasons, two season injured knee injuries. So, we’ll see what happens with these guys. But, I will tell you this, I think Zack Harrison out of these three has the has a long future with the Atlanta Falcons because he’s about to break out in seven games, four and a half sacks. You can’t ask for nothing more than that. Tell me what y’all think. Drop those comments. Let’s debate. Let’s have fun. As always, man. Y’all know how we do it on the Sports Machine. This your boy Antoine Speed Smith signing off. I will holl at y’all soon, man. Peace.

Atlanta Falcons lose 3 defensive players to season ending injuries! Troy Andersen, Bralen Trice and Zach Harrison, which one of them will return in 2026?

  1. Troy Anderson is gone. Waste of a draft pick in my opinion. Never fully caught on at LB and always stays injured. Very big waste of a roster spot. Trice is only in his second year so he is still on rookie contract. Which makes it worth keeping him and letting him fully heal for next season. We need to replace Anderson in the draft or free agency and keep pushing.

  2. Need to bring Zack Harrison back. I would bring Troy back on a 1yr vet minimum. With AK probably gone, I’d bring Trice back to see if he can be a rotation player

  3. We should get a comp pick for Troy Andersen and Bralen Trice. Atleast we got to see Troy Andersen and when he played he had flashes of greatness but we haven't seen one single regular season snap from Bralen Trice in 2 seasons. How would y'all feel about signing Devin Lloyd instead of Kaden Elliss? Imagine Divine Deablo, Devin Lloyd, James Pearce Jr., Jalon Walker and then draft LB depth, CB 2, resign Zach Harrison, draft a run stopping DT, draft OL depth, draft a WR 3, sign Alec Pierce, resign Kyle Pitts and if we cut Kirk Cousins and Darnell Mooney, that'll give us almost 50 million just between those two. Also with the news of Tua maybe being done in Miami, if they released him, id be okay bringing him in on a vet minimum to play until Michael Penix Jr is healthy and theyre both lefty, so the other players don't have to adjust back and forth like they did with Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix Jr and Tuas always played well in the Benz.

  4. Ayyyeeyooo….didn't he get injured on special teams? Like bruh this just bad management all together. He's talented as hell but once again Atlsn6is a circus act. Another wasted high draft pick. Trice hasn't played a single snap since being drafted. Troy has barely played in the last 2 yrs and had splashes but was ultimately average. Harrison is definitely an keeper because you can't rely on Trice and AK47 is a free agent as well. So now you don't have a 1st round pick and in top of that you could lose 2 pass rushers and another one whose injury prone in Trice. So now you can't even build around Pearce and Walker in THIS SEASONS draft. Like bro its dead. This has REBUILD written all over it. You don't even have the cap to re-sign Harrison at a descent deal without losing something, you have 3 guys in Pitts, London, and Robinson coming up 3 years in a row so how on earth can you keep up this teams roster when you keep having to dish out max contracts to offensive players who for their positions demand top dollar. Pitts may be the easiest extension they'll get

  5. IM glad that Troy and Braylen aren't coming back. Because they both are some busts. Braylen never touched the field in a regular game and Troy can't stay healthy. Braylen can't stay healthy either. I mean it dont matter anyway at this point. The most falcon thing to happen is that Troy and Braylon go somewhere and blow up. YOu know that seems to be our thing.
