Avs slow down on the PP.
Avs slow down during shootouts.
PP and shootouts bad because no speed.
I think I’ve got Stockholm syndrome and now think that, yeah, maybe they WILL figure this PP out by the end of the season. Per the practice reports it certainly gets a ton of attention by both players and coaches. Still maddening that every 10th PP they decide to pass twice then shoot and it looks so much better and then they abandon that to the usual BS.
Should we just get a goon to make every penalty a 4 on 4
It’s Cale Makar. Look at how little you notice him.
Until he figures it out this powerplay will continue to be trash.
Pp problems
It’s strange to say that we absolutely “NEED” to figure out something, when the Avs have been dominating this year! Only 2 losses so far this season is pure excellence on ice. But it’s true, we slow our play down during PPs, overtime, and shootouts, and it’s been our undoing in those specific moments. If we fix that, we would be having an even more historic season compared to the historic season we’re already having!

It’s okay, we don’t need the power play.
Start with PP2, finish with Nate leading into 5v5🫡
The set play they scored on the PP was sweet.
I’m not worried about it at all as long as the boys continue their 5v5 dominance. We all know the refs put their whistles in their pockets during the playoffs so we won’t be on the PP that often anyway.
Feels like this is not a new problem
We are dominating at 5 on 5.
The majority of the game is played 5 on 5.
If you outscore your opponent 4-1 every game at 5 on 5, you don’t need a “good” power play.
Jesus… complaining when your team is in first place is fuckin whack
I fell like the pp has been getting better. Quicker and fewer passes between shots is creating more chaos in front of the net leading to rebound opportunities.
Avs have a problem with passing too much and not shooting during the PP. 🤷🏻♂️
I borrowed your idea for my local ECHL team with the same problem. Dead last in the league on the PP.
