Didn’t expect this going into his walk year. I respect the hell out of his competitiveness to do this though when the risk outweighs the reward for him professionally.

So he couldn’t go back out for one more inning in game 5 of the ALDS because he’s entering a contract year, but he’s gonna pitch in a meaningless tournament? Sure lol
He is, in every way, the kind of guy you build a team around.
