I’m sick of teams acting like you can’t do multiple things at once. Like the Tigers acting like player development can’t be in concert with adding legitimate talent. I’ve given the reasons why, but whether Glabber’s here or not. Look, let’s just be clear. They always should have signed Bo Bashette, they should sign Bashette. Now, I’ll say it forever because even as he transitions from a shortstop to maybe a second baseman or third baseman, you’re controlling the strike zone. That’s his game. What did the Tigers say they want to be about? Controlling the zone. If you sign off, it gives you insurance if and when one of your youngsters stinks. It gives you someone you’ll always be able to slot in high in the order, control the zone, and again, okay, we brought Glabber back. So for one year, one year you deal with Bett at shortstop. Next year, Glabber’s gone. You can moonlight him at short and second. And the year after that, we have the conversation about putting him at third base. The point I’m making is for this year, you’d have two guys who control the zone up high to stagger with your left-handed power. How does that impact? Well, we got to leave room for the kids. Doesn’t it’s gaslighting.
