Wild vs. Blue Jackets | NHL Highlights | December 18, 2025

Yeah, this team is one of the top teams in the 
National Hockey League right now in the Minnesota Wild and the Blue Jackets are up for this test 
and we’ll see early in this one. He will play the puck lifted out. He’s having a hard time getting 
to the bench. Starting it now will be Capri off. He fires stopped by Greavves and hopefully Zach 
Warenski is okay. The play and rushing off ice is Quinn Hughes. Hughes cuts in on the dropper 
is Ryan Hartman. Hartman with a hard pass. Favor a drive and a glove save by Jeff Green. Minor 
penalty for high sinking to Nick Obel and it is Warenski over to Marenko on the touch pass. Worky 
fires. Wad makes the save and trapped a lot of bodies in front of him. Works across to Marenko. 
Open was Warky and hits him with the pass. Worky to Carell Marenko. Inches into the circle. 
He shoots. Wall up by Walstead and the Wild find a rebound and clear it out of there. Dozen 
seconds left in the chance. First of the game. Prov return pass. Damon Severson fires and Wad 
with the stop up on his skates. Take away for Colt Cinger trying to shuffle it back to Prov who 
pinched and out come the Wild on the rush. It’s Ben Jones. Drop pass Champion. Ty Green makes the 
save on Pitlick. Second line was really good. See Pro comes down the wall. Smart play there to 
poke it away from him and then Jones gets the puck back and Jet Greavves just stays right with 
him the whole way. Look at Jet’s focus there. Used to Baldi on side apparently. Baldi to favor to 
the forehand. He looks and shoots and Gre has another one. Good opportunity playing on a second 
line with Jenner and Monahan. Marcus Molino to center ice. Saucers one across the long wrist 
shot here losing six games to the Vegas Golden Knights. Going to go on a playoff run that has 
eluded them. London in fires a shot. Save made by Walad. No rebound. Crashing the net was Kent 
Johnson. Gustoson. And then this year coming to camp and knowing and being refreshed and having a 
very good summer. Boy, he’s really exploded on the scene for the Minnesota Wild. Aortina throws 
it off of Boon. Jenner trying to recover. He can’t. It’ll be punched to center ice. It’s a 
two-on-one now. Twoon two for Minnesota. Ryan Hart. A closing firing follow up by Greed. Nice 
move by Trennan, but that shot got disrupted. Chip back to the line. Here’s Stab letting it go. That 
was tipped and stopped by Grieve somehow. One of 620 goal scorers so far in the NHL. They are still 
wheeling and dealing here. And now good defensive play by Miles Wood taking off just to take a favor 
rushing up ice. Here come the Jackets with Coyle. Coy on the back end of Warky scores. Zack Warki. 
What a play. Off the rush. One- nothing Jackets. Well, the Wild get crossed up and Wood makes 
this play and as Cylinger gives it over to Coyle, Warensky arrives on the scene and opens 
up and he just instantly points at Coyle because that play put it right 
on the platter for Zack Wensky. No chance for Walstead. Knock it down behind the 
net. crashing after is Miles Wood. It comes to Carill Capri off the richest deal in NHL history 
just prior to the start of this season. He is locked up long term and one of the superstars 
in the game. Clipped out to center pursued by Wood off his stick. Matechuck comes flying in. 
Goes to Miles Wood. Wood tries to center right in front. Getting a piece with Matuck. He keeps 
it alive from his knees. Morinski all the way across the return pass. Morenski shifting deep 
slot fires that gets deflected wide. Monahan in the direction of Jenner but intercepted and 
now it’s Lambo in. He fires a shot. Glove save by Jeffrey. 7 seconds to go in the period. Rob. 
Now it’s Hartman’s going to play it over to Obey Cubell. Low to high. Lambos fires and that gets 
through at the buzzer. Wild almost tied it up. The breeze off 10 goals in eight career games 
against the Blue Jackets. Quinn Hughes lets it fly. Stopped by Greavves and he locates the puck 
and covers and in behind Lambo’s first NHL game. Yeah, good job of this line. Chance for Tenner. 
Stopped by Walstead. Roar looking for Daylight. Shoots it wide on the carum. Monahan indirectly 
to Fabro. Fabro a shot stopped by Walstead behind. Lambo’s with it again. Yeah, that’s got to 
be harder back there behind the net. That’s twice for the Blue Jackets as they do recover it 
here. Wood into the glove of Walstead after this two-game road trip. Dechuk in with good speed. 
Back to Cylinger cranks that on goal. Walstead with the stop. Jenner to slow it down and wait 
for Zack to come through like a slingshot and get that chance in this offensive zone. Face 
off. It’s on goal. Stop. Rebound coiled back in front. Missed by Cylinger. It’s on his mind. 
And here on the left side of your screen and then second effort broke it up. Fuse went back 
to the bench. Rock Faber flying in. Stops on a dime. Taps it to Baldi. Baldi to Faber trying to 
go east west. Faber. Faber. Back to the circle. Right in front to Hartman. They score. Power play 
goal. Ryan Hartman ties the game up for the Wild. 97 on the right side of our screen 
here. He’s going to miss that puck, but then he just flings it towards the net. 
So, he misses it, but in the all in one motion, he takes a look and it goes underneath the 
stick of Matechuck and right on Hartman. Harman doesn’t have to do much 
except stay strong on that lower hand and you see no chance for Greavves Vanilli 
trying to make the play and a nice play by Tyler Pitlick to break up the pass going 
the other direction. Jones in on the back hand save made by Greavves. Not a whole lot 
of NHL experience between the two. Severson trying to dodge a check. He’s passing to 
come out of the zone now. Split forward. Oddman break here for the Wild. Drop back. 
Here’s Terasenko. He shoots and scores. Ends up being a threeon two and Vladimir 
Terraasenko has made it 2-1 Minnesota. The offensive zone. It’s a fourth line, 
you know, and here Severson tries to make a move and then maybe a little too much 
to London who’s not ready for that pass that creates this oddman rush. And boy, what 
a talented play as this line gets up the ice for the Minnesota Wild. And Terasenko with the 
goalender moving goes back against the grain. You know, Jeff Grees pumps across to get 
a trying to post up there now with the puck is Marenko. Marenko fighting his 
way through. Bumped enough by Hughes. With the takeaway skates in, he shoots and scores. Another one for Wretzky. We’re tied up at two. Well, Zack Morensky just knows where 
the play is going to go and then he takes over. He has been an absolute dominant 
player here. Every shift he’s on the ice, but now the Wild come out and get the lead. And 
Zach Winsky has been a man possessed since then. He’s tied it up. Allowing Rensky to guard his 
way to center. Rips it over to Coyle looking to go back for Zack. Collision Hughes 
and it goes wide maybe off of Walstead period. Vladimir Terasenko cutting on 
in. Good pass. Eurov save Greavves. He’s double shifting here with two lines and 
Hughes is shifting between the end. Stopped by Wolstead. He doesn’t agree as the Blue 
Jackets. A lot of momentum on this shift, but there was the best chance 
in the last few minutes. Pass is way out of the reach of Hughes. He’s 
got it now, but outside the zone. Quinn Hughes is twisting and turning and he’ll build some 
momentum. He’s into the jacket zone. Hughes stops Baldi right there. He shoots and a great 
block by Dante Fabro. Baldi behind the net. Trent inside of the case. Erikson a chance in tight 
and they score. Mad scramble around the net. The Wild have taken a 32 lead. Joel Erikson Ek out 
there with the tren line. Then you change up and go with the Baldy line with Hughes. And then the 
pressure is just mounting here as the Blue Jackets look back to trying to get a part of a change. 
And you can see Fabro and Provo, they’re tired. Not sure if he pushed the pad there 
or not. We’ll take a look at this, but they’re just trying to put pucks towards 
the net. And there’s the one initial. And then he gets a stick on it. Looks like two 
sticks in there. There he pushes the pad. That was off of Jet Greed. Ricochet to Chinov. Warenski 
gallops through center for Columbus. Zack Warski pass to Monahan. Hold soon. Stopped by Woolstead. 
Puck just scores wide. Can throw this puck through Ward Mate. Extra attackers on for Columbus. 
Two minutes to go. Third period. They’re trying to tie up the game against the Wild. 
Marenko to the front. That’s punched away. Erikson E over to Baldi. Baldi snaps it to 
Capri off and he scores into the empty net. Oh, Erikson bounced him a little too hard. Make a play to the middle of the ice. 
It’s broking broken up neatly and Two-goal lead here for the Wild. Confident team 
and this is a team with seven regulars out of the lineup. Well, you can see they really lean on 
their top. Blue Jackets want to get him on one of those themselves here. That is empty. Matt 
Baldi looking toward that empty net. He’s got Marenko to beat. He will do it. And Matt Baldi 
has himself an empty net goal to make it 52. Baldi’s 20th of the year. forward 
in a lot of ways. Seems to always be underneath the puck in the right way. And 
here he’s got a forward back and Marenko. Oh, just an icing on this night for 
Zach who took two pucks and ended up down the runway. Scored two goals, 
but at the end the Wild get it done.
