Stars vs. Sharks | NHL Highlights | December 18, 2025

So, we’re set to drop the puck. The second of
the meetings between these teams this season. Dallas won the first one two weeks ago in Texas
by a 41 score. Try to counterattack quickly, but they lost the puck. Here’s Orlof still on
the ice. Looks back. Clingberg joins the rush. Shot saved by. And now Chernish will send it back
deep into the Dallas zone. We didn’t know. Here’s Celebrating with a steal in front. Ethan Cardwell
with a great a look and comes up. He can check as well. One of the best 200t players in the game.
He’s able to get in quick. Smart gets it. Ethan Carwell right away. Just a misplay at the net, but
Mlin’s right there. Thomas Harley getting back in the lineup and just had a little bobble. And Mlin
quick on the spot. Off the face off. It’s Elia Leushkin for Dallas. Now Sam Steel pulls his way
over the line and a quick shot and off the goal post as it got behind Nadulovich but came back off
the iron. Team to improve is defending the rush. Sam Steel just as you said just pulled his way
in and then it’s a quick shot working protecting the puck. Terrific job by Steel but then everybody
gets looking at what Colin Graph one hands it into the zone. Chernishoff skating onto it. Churnisha a
shot and Uter hugging that post denies the rookie. This is what Igor Cherna can do. Talking to John
McCarthy, head coach of the Barracuda said he will take the puck to the net. He’s fearless on that
drive. Gets his feet moving. He’s a big body, good puck protection and gets a really good
chance in tight. That’s not easy to do. and Eagles Clingberg Ecklan. Couple of more passes
and then a scramble at the front of the Dallas net. Puck still loose out to Wenberg. He’ll
get it to Taboli. Celebrini look shoots. It’s fought off by Oder. Picked back up by the leading
scoreer for Dallas this season. Nico Ranton Shane checked by Wenberg. Second effort gets it up the
boards now. Renon from behind the net and scores. Rope hits, makes it one- nothing Dallas. Very
good job of expanding the zone here. They go low and then they get it behind the net. If
you can get the pass to go behind the net, that opens up all kinds of things. Number
one, it takes the focus to the puck carrier and then rope hints rolls in. Look at where
all the sharks are looking. They’re looking at Brandon at the net and nobody is looking
at the dangerous player coming in. Hence, if you’re going to get your mojo back, there’s
the line that can help you do it. Good bro. Reeves Hotinger with the save as Ryan Reeves
put it dead on the net. Straight for check right physical on the forche. Textbook.
Two guys in win the puck. Get the man in the scoring position. Reeds with two goals on
the year. There’s one that goes in. Sack. Oh, stop Chuck. I think was not instituted by
the the Dallas Stars. It was a immediate review with it’s an official review. Official
review. Yeah. Contacted by the stick is the blade of the stick and we will we will see
what they decide after looking at it. Randy, you’ve been in the situation room. What are
they doing right now? Well, video review for a high stick puck. It’s determined. The
puck was contacted above the crossbar with a high stick and then into the net. We have no
goal. Here he’s a bench was yelling no call. Here’s Lindell. Hasten fires a dart to Johnston
who scores. What a shot by Wyatt Johnston and it’s two nothing Dallas. Just dominant zone time.
And the Sharks not able to get to the pucks, not able to win the pucks. Just they
had a scrum along the boards and Wyatt Johnson. That’s a nice move by Johnson.
He’s just does a nice job of just sliding to a shot position and then rips it up
over the shoulder. Good puck movement, good player movement, winning those
one-on- ons, getting to shooting positions. Here’s a pass for Igor Cha shot against
Harley. They both fall. Clingberg across the diving save by off celebrating. He does
that. Good support on that puck as well. If Clingberg fires it across the shot and Jakeer
dives across and makes an incredible save. This is a great save. Really nice play. Good attack on
better goending. 13th save for Rodinger and they score right off the face off. Shot fired ahead to
the net and deflected in by Shakir Luke Madullan. Luke Medulla took the shot. Drew faceoff win. Hey,
and let’s credit Ty Dandria. Man, Ty Dandria is so such an unsung hero for the Sharks this season
so far. That looked like it goes right in. You’re right. Might have been a little bit of a tip. I
think we heard one, but it’s a smart shot. It’s down on the ice in the net. He gives it away to
Wenberg who’s got Ekan open on the wing. William Ecklin in stop. Look, beats the trailer. Baro
save rebound. Hotinger gets the pass together and stops that backhander from Tyler tooling. So
when Randon gets into the play, gets taken off the puck. They’re not allowed to keep the play
playing going in the zone and the Starks on the transition. There it is. Pressure on Rand right
away by two guys. Good job by Tapoy with a stick in the middle and then the late man jumping off
Mario. Shot on net looking for that rebound but face off winber and then off the boards. Godette
trying to bang it home. Dandria sending it ahead for Colin Graph. Those two, Dandre and Graph,
have the Sharks two short-handed goals this year. As Johnson slows down, they work it back
up top. Hasten and Nata hits in the middle. They score. Wyatt Johnson. Bang bang on a great feed
from Duchain or from Randon rather. And it is 31. Now Randon sets up and the key on that
play is where Ranton is. His feet are above the goal line. So Timothy Ligren has to
pressure there but it happens so quick that one-touch pass changes everything and Wyatt
Johnson down on one knee. Celbrini again cuts to the outside far post in front pinballing
around. It’s still loose. Clingberg loads up, shoots, and it’s wide. That puck was
spinning. How about the Wilds? They won again tonight. Shocker. They haven’t
lost since the trade. Chance here. They score. Colin Brown. And the Sharks do get
momentum from their power play. It’s 3-2. What a face off by Mlin Celery.
Are you kidding me on this? Like, did you just see that through the legs, gets
his own face off, holds on to it, holds on, and then fires it over to Colin Graph with a nice
little move. Cut back shot. Boom. Colin Graph gets one chance. Second chance. Brilliance by 71
and not bad by 51 either. A stroke of absolute genius by Neils Lungquist for Dallas. Pass for
Oscar back couldn’t get to it. Delkovich gives it away and they score. Justin Ritz Kovian and
it’s 42 Dallas. Means the defensive play. This is the play right there by Vinnieorio. He lifts
the stick and the linesman yells right away, “No, he lifted it that way.” It wasn’t an icing, but
you can’t do that. That’s just sometimes just setting the puck is enough. Playing the puck
less is sometimes your best play. Puck to the front of the net. Cleared up for Chernot.
He comes ahead with Celbrini and grabbed threeon two. Here’s Mlin back for Chernish. Brown
scores. What a goal. Tick tac two and it’s 43. It is a beautiful finish without a doubt. The
key though goes all the way back in the defensive zone. The exit out of the zone after checking
Hasten into the ice and that was Colin Graph. Colin Graph makes the defensive play. Then he
scores the goal by making sure he continues to skate. goes right down the middle. A beautiful
goal. Here’s Orlov off the faceoff win. Clingberg to the net. Save. Rebound. Lindberg had a chance.
Couldn’t get to the puck as Lquist celebrates it up. Nice play going to the net. make sure that
the puck doesn’t go in on the empty netter. And Ekkan with a good move and the again the skate
through. Mlin makes the pass and then he does the skate through that brings the D back that creates
that open space and Ekan back the other way. Shoots off the glove of in front. That one got
through everybody. Back to Clingberg. Clingberg to Celibbrini. And that one right back to Ben
to the empty net and he scores. Jamie Ben makes it 53. This one. Good job by the Sharks bringing
pressure. The hard shot makes the big save. It’s a tough save too. And it goes right to Ben and
Ben throws it down like Brian Weisman. Back over to Mcmadula. Celbrini. Stick handle shoots up
high oner. They crash the net. Where’s the pot? There’s a lot of things in the net. It’s unclear
if the puck is one of them. Here we go. The shot going up high. The puck goes up. Watch the
Sharks go for it. Ethan Carwell jumping. Hits him in the hand off Aer off the shoulder.
And nobody knows where the puck is, but there is a lot of human beings there. That’s for sure.
Three to go. One more shot. That’s blocked. And that’ll do it. The Dallas Stars prevail and
make it two straight wins over the Sharks.

  1. Good progress from Sharks again in a very short amount of time, despite missing some key players.

That said, please keep Ned off the ice. He'd clearly rather try-out for the oppositions front line than play goalie for Sharks. But seriously, whenever I see him starting, I know he's going to do something dumb away from the goal, and today that dumbness lost the game.

  2. Good to see Ty playing a big role for the Sharks ….. he was a grinder but fan favorite in Dallas . Plays the game the right way and can help all the young talent in San Jose . They are going to be a problem in the coming years . Dallas just continues to rack up points . Such a shame that 2 of the 3 best teams in the West will be done by round 2 of Western Conference Playoffs ( Col , Dal , Min ) . NHL HAS to go back to 1-8 seeding.

  3. Why would a professional nhl goalie pass the puck into the slot while being out of his net? Goalies should just stay in their net at all times, they make way too many mistakes when out of it. It's a trend and simply not worth it

  4. Sharks lost this one but they’re so fun team to watch and nobody expected them to be this good already. Oh and Macklin Celebrini deserves a Hart Memorial trophy!
