You guys got it to four a couple times there in the fourth quarter. What do you feel like kept you guys from closing it all the way down again? >> Well, both ends really. Uh, you know, after the first quarter, uh, I thought defensively we were pretty good. You know, holding teams 26 points. You can live with that. I just thought we struggled scoring the entire night. I I didn’t think we got to a lot of next actions. Uh, their switching bothered us a little bit. I thought we got stagnant tonight and and we didn’t make shots either. >> With Scoot, it feels like some good and some bad, right? Yeah, >> you have the 13 assists, but then you have the turnovers, you have the points, but then you have forcing shots. What do you maybe make of his game tonight? >> I I thought he was trying to win the game for us. Um, so nothing Scoot does is selfish. Um, you know, and that was the point I was making you guys yesterday. These guys are trying like they they want to win. The problem is by doing that they they did too much. I thought Scoot tried to do too much in that and that’s what created some of the turnovers. thought he got frustrated early with the officiating uh and that took him out for a little bit as well. And we, you know, when we have guys out like we have no margins of errors and and so right now we’re not playing within in the first half. We actually won kind of the margin game. Uh but in the second half they won it in a big way and that was the difference in the game. >> Miles had 10 shots in the first half. What did you think of his aggressiveness? I loved it. And and there wasn’t four shots, you know, there were shots that came through ball movement, through getting to the paint. Um and that’s how we have to get them. I had to run a play in the second half uh to get him a shot, you know. Um you know, I think overall like Miles, you can see him trending. Bobby’s starting to play well right now. Uh Scoot, you know, is finding his legs, is playing better. AJ, I thought struggled tonight. Um, I just I honestly didn’t think he moved well. You know, I I watching him on the floor. I was close to just saying let’s take him out and get to next game. You know, uh, that happened Cuz obviously our size showed tonight on Ingram. Like, you know, you looked at Cuz or TP or any of those guys, that’s who would have been guarding Ingram tonight. Instead, we have our guards on them. And I just thought at the end of the day, Gary Harris did the best job, but he still just made two shots where he just turned and shot over. >> Yeah, I was gonna ask about AJ. Was it just affecting his mechanics or >> Yeah. Yeah. You know, we made one late. Um, you know, he’s gone through a lot. So, um, I just think that’s one I looked at today’s game as burn minutes for him to get him ready for the next game. uh the you made a switch with Ryan Rollins going to the beach. Just your thought process behind that. >> Yeah, something we’ve talked about for a couple weeks, you know, um especially against them. The reason we did is because they put so much ball pressure. We wanted to split the guards to make sure we had two fresh guards on the floor all the time. I actually liked it. Um our numbers with Scoot and Ryan have not been great together. Um, you know, everything is kind of skewed because that’s the non Giannis numbers with Scoot and Ryan. The two games that we had Giannis with Scoot and Ryan and actually looked really good. Uh, but without that, it it’s not a good look for us. >> So, do you think you want to continue this going forward? >> Yeah, most likely we do. Um, but that again depends on health. You know, they end up playing a ton together. Uh, AJ was on a minute restriction, wasn’t moving well. uh school got early files so it it depends on that as well. >> And then I know you just kind of you know the start of I think Giannis’s injury you said this will be our chance to find something. Um obviously like win loss haven’t found it but do you feel like you’ve gotten >> I think we’re getting closer. >> I really do. Um >> I think we’re we’re starting to figure out it’s and it’s and we’re not there. I’m being honest on who plays best in the Yan non Giannis minutes and that’s something if we can get Giannis back healthy for the rest of the year I think it’ll it’ll serve well for us. >> Uh you guys got a big road trip coming up only three and nine so far on the road this season. Is is there anything specific you’ve seen between go home and >> No, I think a lot of it is um what we’ve had this stretch. I mean all these losses are coming now. I thought early on beginning of the year we actually won some games on the road and you know playing them without your best player on the road is never easy you know bottom line but we have to find ways to win like Minnesota is a tough team we got to go there Indianapolis is going to be whatever it is you know that uh we have to go there uh and we’re not going to have Giannis to make a game-winning shot this time so we’re gonna have to figure it out. Uh Jericho with those four turnovers. I think it’s a couple moving screens. Uh >> yeah, I I I listen I didn’t think and even the ref at halftime came over. He said he may have blown that one too early. You know, I his interpretation was wrong. He said that um you got to give the guy a step. And I said, “No, not on the side. No, you don’t.” And he did give him a step. Uh and the guy actually just grabbed Jericho’s leg. The second one I thought his foot was out a little bit. So, uh, I’ll live with any screen turnovers on this team. I’m good with them. We don’t get enough of them, as far as I’m concerned. >> Just the way Bobby’s been shooting it. It feels like if he lets it go, it’s going in. What have you seen from him in the last couple weeks to get that comfortable? >> I think he’s just got his rhythm, honestly. Um, I think he’s um he’s moving better on the floor. I think we’re finding him better. Um, and so it’s good because we need him. I thought he had a tough start to the season and you can see he clearly is he’s he’s got his rhythm and and you know again we keep talking about silver linings. That may be one of them.
