The NHL’s NEWEST Contender #nhl #hockey #minnesotawild

This one trade has elevated the Minnesota Wild to contention conversations, but honestly, I don’t think they’re done here. As you all know by now, one of the biggest blockbuster trades of the season has been completed with Quinn Hughes now playing for the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Ze Buham, Marco Rossi, Ogrren, and a 2026 firstround pick, instantly elevating the Minnesota Wild from just a playoff team to an actual contender this year. But here’s the problem. Losing Marco Rossi in this deal leaves a big gap in Minnesota’s top six. Sure, Quinn Hughes makes them better and will open up the offense more, but are they good enough to take on other powerhouses in the West with this group as is? I’m not too confident as of now, but I think I have the solution here. If I were Minnesota, I would be calling New York right now to check on the status of our Tammy Paneran. With them out of playoff contention and no contract signed yet, I think this could be a huge opportunity for the Wild to address all of their top six needs. Of course, they would have to figure out how to make the finances work with the cap.

  1. I don’t think there is enough experience in deep runs for them to make it but you never know. Specially since they will possibly fave both Dallas and Colorado on the way to the cup. Crazy how arguably the best 3 teams in the league now are in the same division

  2. What about Charlie Coyle out of Columbus? I know it was a long time ago, but he's a familiar face with the team and most fans would love to have him back after that awful, awful trade to Boston.

  3. No, Yurov is gonna be really good, thats why the had no problem trading Rossi. Remember that name Danila Yurov! And Vladys starting to find his game since Yurov started play on that line. I believe they had to go get Hughes because Brodin cannot stay healthy, which sucks because Brodin is really damn good when healthy. They placed Brodin on IR today.

  4. I think ROR would be a way better fit. His 5v5 metrics are still fantastic and he's a center with a cup. Only 4.5M AAV as well. Panarin's price tag isn't likely very high either since I don't think he has any intentions resigning with the Rangers, who are a sinking ship.

  5. Panarin sucks he’s insanely overrated why would you want a guy who is average in playoffs for your playoff run also this is coming from rangers fan I would trade Panarin for nothing just getting him off the team is a great return
