Falcons Fans Are DENIED The News They Were Expecting…
[music] You know, I consider you and I like siblings, and siblings fight all the time. And boy, did you guys let me have it in yesterday’s video. Falcons fans, welcome in to Falcons Today by Chat Sports. My name is Moose. And like I told you, if I didn’t put out this episode yesterday, I feel like my mental health would have been a lot better than it is today because you guys went in on me. Specifically, when it came to yesterday’s offseason plan, if you remember what it was, I said, and I quote, “I believe that Zack and Maris Williams are out of the window.” Then I said plan two, step two, was that the Falcons were going to hire Adam Stenovic, the offensive coordinator for Green Bay, who does not call plays in Green Bay. Matt Laflur does, and you guys slaughtered me. What were you specifically saying? Falcons fans told me they want an experienced offensive coordinator, somebody that is not like Zack Robinson when he came from LA. that we need somebody that’s going to have the experience of an offensive coordinator, somebody that’s had success doing it, and somebody that has just found a way to get it done before. Well, on today’s show, I’m here to tell you, you can’t have your cake and eat it, too. why there isn’t a single offensive coordinator right now that you could go out and hire that has the experience that you’re looking for, the success you’re looking for, and can step into this role and say, “I will do it because I want to coach the Atlanta Falcons.” So, the question now becomes of today’s show, can you land an experienced offensive coordinator next season? And make sure you subscribe for all Falcons offseason content. season’s mathematically over. So, obviously, we know today, hey, we’re just focusing on 2026. Speaking of those comments, I didn’t just pull them out of my butt, right? We have a ton of you that said, and I quote, I’m going to have to give this a big hell no. I’m so tired of Atlanta’s hiring experiments. I want an established NFL offensive coordinator. And then another guy going, I don’t want another guy that’s never called plays. And then this one, which actually kind of made me laugh a little. So, you want to bring in another person who’s never called plays. Are you slow? Well, that one kind of hurt my feelings a little bit. I’m not going to lie. But my question to you Falcons fans, because you guys had a lot to say to me, here’s my question to you. Who you going to go get now? I’ll wait. Who are you going to go get? Because I can pretty much guarantee I know who you’re going to say. And I’ve got a list of those three guys ready for you on deck. The first person you’re going to say, “Well, moose, moose, moose, moose, moose. We’re going to go get Mike McDaniel from Miami, right? Because he’s gone. Guaranteed. Not so fast, my friend.” It would have been that way if I would have said that five weeks ago, maybe six weeks ago. But, uh, recent developments, not only from me and from the Dolphin season, but the guys at ESPN, claimed that Mike McDaniel’s job might be safe. Here’s what Dan Graciano said. Mike McDaniel has a chance to save his job in Miami with a strong finish, which seems to be his way of putting this back together. People around the league think that he has made a compelling case to stay. End quote. By the way, since firing Chris Greer, their general manager, they’re 4-1 with their most recent loss coming to the Pittsburgh Steelers. They’ve been a lot better since Chris Greer left. and they just benched Tua. I don’t think you’re benching the quarterback that gives you the best chance to win unless your head coach knows that his job is safe. Well, Moose. Okay, maybe not Mike McDaniel, man. Well, you give us some credit. Give us some credit. Not that one there. Uh, well, actually, no, you’re right. Good call. Uh, their remaining games, by the way, are as follows. That’s my apologies. They play the Bengals, the worst defense in the league. They play the Buccaneers who the Falcons just beat. So they have a chance to beat them and okay, they’re going to lose to the Patriots, especially if you’re starting Quinners. So they can go two and one in their next three, their final three. And you mean to tell me that if Mike McDaniel goes eight and nine, he’s out the window. I disagree completely. Okay. Well, Moose, no. It’s not Mike McDaniel. Give us some credit. It’s Brian Dable. That’s who we really want. Well, I’d be inclined to believe you, but I also know that there’s another team in the NFL that is currently vying for his services, and that’s the Buffalo Bills. League sources claim that Dable is tied to Buffalo, despite what their head coach, Shawn McDermott, has said about not bringing him in. That’s just coach talk. He’s not going to talk about any speculation in the offseason. But what do we know about the Buffalo Bills? their current offensive coordinator, Joe Brady, is going to get a head coaching job. Last year, he was interviewing and decided to the last second that he was going to go back to Buffalo. He’s taking a head coaching job, specifically if Buffalo makes another deep playoff run. What also do we know about the Buffalo Bills? Josh Allen loves Brian Dable and has said it multiple times. I think there’s comfortability there. There’s familiarity there. And Brian Dable will absolutely take that job over the Atlanta Falcons job any day. No, no, no, Moose. It’s not Brian Dable. It’s not Mike McDaniel either. You know who it is? It’s Pennix’s former offensive coordinator, Ryan Grub. That’s who we want. Okay, fine. Worked with PennX before. If you’re going the Penn route, that would make a lot of sense. Oh, except for the fact that Grub is under contract with Alabama until 2027. And he’s also done the offensive coordinator job before with Seattle and then left that job just last year to go take that job with Alabama. Oh, and by the way, against your Georgia Bulldogs went up and rushed for a whopping negative four rushing yards on the game. So, please tell me why any one of those three are going to take the Atlanta Falcons job. They’re not. So now everybody and their mother knows that if you’re going to go get another offensive coordinator, which I do believe is definitely happening, you got to go find somebody that either A is going to downgrade at their position, which has never been done before, or B, someone that’s never called plays before. Let me know who you want that’s called plays, that’s had success at the NFL level, that’s ready to do it. And you can’t say a former head coach. You can’t say Mike McCarthy. He’s not taking an offensive coordinator job. I’m just being so for real with you. We’re going to talk a little bit more about this coming up here in just a moment. I know I got a little heated there, but I’m going to calm down and tell you about our friends over at Prize Picks. The holiday season is officially here. Christmas is what, seven days away from today. That’s code CLNS to get $50 instantly in lineups when you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks. It is good to be right. So, fans are against hiring an offensive coordinator who has never called plays before because of Zack Robinson, and I understand that you are letting your emotion cloud what could be for the Atlanta Falcons because of what you’re seeing currently. And I get that. As of right now, what do we know? The hiring of Zack Robinson, who had never called plays before, specifically when he was in LA with Shawn McVey, has not panned out for the Atlanta Falcons. So now you’re looking at it like, why on earth would I want to go out and hire somebody that doesn’t have that specific skill set or has done that before, and I understand where you’re coming from, but I will argue with you in this point. All of the guys that are worth a damn are not coming to Atlanta. Why? Because Clint Kubak, unless he’s a head coach, is not going to be your offensive coordinator. Josh McDaniels is not leaving New England. Matt Ngi is not calling plays in Kansas City. Granted, he’s had head coaching experience and play calling experience before. And Joel Brady is also not going to come to Atlanta when he’s coaching Josh Allen unless he’s a head coach. Do you see my point? So, I’m going to also give you a very, very quick synopsis of all of the really great offenses right now in 2025. All of the great offenses that are currently playoff teams that are in contention to make a deep playoff run. The Broncos, Bears, Packers, Rams, Jags, Colts. Well, the Colts are not in the playoffs, but you get my point. Great offense before Daniel Jones goes down. Shawn Payeyton in Denver. He calls plays, not Joe Lombardi. In Chicago, Ben Johnson calls plays, not Declan Doyle, Matt Laflur calls plays, not Adam Stenovich in Green Bay. McVey, Cohen Stiken, all of those guys call the plays, not their offensive coordinators. Translation, you’re going to have to get a firsttime play caller because all the guys that have the experience are taking head coaching positions and all the great offenses are called by their offensive head coaches. The Atlanta Falcons are one of very few teams that have an offensive coordinator call their plays because their coach is either a a defensive guy or b they just completely get rid of that. The only expect the only exception here is in Philly and Shane uh name is Ludy M. Nick Serriani is doesn’t call the plays Kevin Patulo does. And how is that working out in Philadelphia this year? My point exactly. Everybody’s calling for Patulo’s job as well. There is only one way that you’re going to get an experienced play caller in Atlanta, you got to fire Raheem Morris. That’s it. If you want an offensive-minded guy that is going to be able to call plays and has done it before, you would have to concede that Raheem Morris is done. And what do we know from recent comments? Arthur Blank loves him. Terry Fontnau loves him. Raheem Morris believes that his job is safe. He’s talking about 2026 plans. Is it a guarantee that he’s coming back? Of course not. These next three games are very pivotal. But that is the ultimate takeaway from this. You have to hire an offensive guy if you want somebody that’s not a firsttime play caller. Period. So, I’ll leave you with this question. Who do you want as the next Falcons offensive coordinator? Let me know in the comment section down below. Until next time, Falcons fans, my name is Moose. Thank you so much for joining me on today’s episode. I realize it was kind of a doozy. Reminder to like today’s video, subscribe to the channel, and as always, rise up and be cool. >> [music] [music]

Who do you want as the next Falcons OC?
JON GRUDEN
If they bring back Coach Rah Rah I foresee the Falcons looks a massive amount of the fanbase. Two years in a row with Coach Rah Rah going backwards after them basically saying "we're all in" is not going to fly. Atlanta isn't Dallas or even somewhere like Green Bay. People will find other things to do besides give support to the Falcons. I mean UGA is in the CFP again and is likely to be a yearly invite there as long as they have Kirby and even Ga Tech had a 9-3 seasons so why TF would any football fan spend their money on a loser team instead? Hell Charlotte is close enough that people could start defecting to the Panthers if they continue to improve. Atlanta is a city of transplants anyway most people are from somewhere else and brought loyalties to other teams. If the Falcons have hope yeah most of them will support the local team but bringing back Coach Rah Rah will kill that hope stone cold dead.
If I'm arthur blank I'm basing my move on what the steelers do with tomlin. If they keep him for one more year ima do the same.
You don't wanna fire raheem and hire a hc and then the following year tomlin's available
1:48 well I believe if the Falcons actually should go old school if he’s available Mike McCarthy. He was primarily an Offensive Coordinator, known for developing offenses and quarterbacks, holding coordinator roles with the Saints and 49ers, and even serving as an offensive assistant/quality control coach before becoming a head coach, focusing on precision, discipline, and effective play. Coach Mike McCarthy has worked with and developed several notable quarterbacks, including Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, Dak Prescott, and Trey Lance. I’m just saying Arthur Blanks isn’t Jerry Jones so he might can have great comeback potential.
6:59 Damn It Moose after I press pause and did all that typing for Mike and you hit me with this crap 😤 ok the hell with it Matt Ryan then for OC since there’s no other option lol
After watching these last few games, I don’t think the offense is as a bad as people say. I think the issue is having every body on the same page. They have to make the players run the offense the way Zac envisions
Todd Moncan
Moose forget what people are talking about in the comments. Check it, I believe if we get a senior offensive consultant. Someone who is proven, I believe he can work with Zac and things be better. Again, all this firing and blah blah blah ain't doing anything. Bring in people with oversight and things can get better
Just a thought but possibly give Eric Bienemy a chance
byron leftwich, eric bienemy, lincoln riley
Byron Leftwitch
So basically he’s saying Raheem calls plays and Zach doesn’t so then fire Raheem and keep Zach moose don’t know what he be talking about sometimes 😅 but I mean I get it
Fuck it just hire bill bilingchick
The current oc zack can't call some plays when penix was in the game because he was mostly limited to the pistol.
Eric Bienemy
We dont need to get a oc we need a head coach that can call plays like ben johnson
I think the Falcons should take a chance on hiring Miami OC because Miami can move the ball down the field game after game.. The starting QB was the big issues with the Dolphins
No OC from college.. This will not work.
Take a chance with the OC from Rams or from Miami
Todd Monken as head coach and he can groom the next OC
I want Mike McD as our HC not our OC.
Mike McCarthy
Jason Garrett
Byron leftwich
Eric Bimini
Fire Raheem morris hire JOE BRADY trade a 2027 pick for Joe Milton
Scrap penix and go Joe Milton all he needs is a chance he has the talent
Watch these clowns hire Dirk Koeter again. 😂
Daboll
Let's be real. Nobody that's any good or proven wants to come to this clown show.
Forget the OC i want Kubiak as HC, Morris is a bum
Bro, how about get a HC that calls plays? Mike is available ding ding. He need to for coach RAH!
Brian Daboll would be a great OC.
Idc what type of oc we get I want a head coach that has an iq higher than a leafs. I am ok with a newer oc that has good ideas and doesn’t want to stay in one formation forever all game and a coach that actually isn’t terrible
