Knicks Get DOUBLE DOSE OF GREAT NEWS!

Somehow someway with the Knicks down, Mitchell Robinson, Carl Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, Miles McBride, and Landry Shamut. They pull out a win despite being hung over from Las Vegas. And it’s because they got that dude, the baddest dude in the NBA, the captain, Jaylen Freaking Brunson. If you’re fired up about the win, if you’re fired up about how this New York Knicks team is playing, they’ve been winning a lot of games recently. They look like a championship team. [music] Despite the great news that the New York Knicks got in this game from a couple of players that you maybe didn’t expect and Tyler Co keeps on doing it over and over again. More good news for the New York Knicks. Miles McBride, who has not played in about a week and a half now, sounds like he is going to be returning very soon. And Stefan Bondi, who covers the New York Knicks, says Miles McBride is getting closer to returning. He’s now considered daytoday according to the Knicks and is doing oncourt work. He has yet to practice, but the Knicks also haven’t practiced or held a shootaround since Monday. You’re doing all this winning. And you’re doing with it without Miles McBride, who I think is one of the biggest swing players on this roster. He brings another elite perimeter defender, another elite catch and shoot guy, and someone that when the shot clock is bleeding, they can go hunt their own shot as well. So, very good stuff that Deuce McBride is going to be returning very, very soon. I I don’t know how the New York Knicks won this game. And I say that, then I say, well, they have Jaylen Brunson on their team. And when you got number 11 on your side, anything is possible. What a win for the New York Knicks. A step back rightwing three that Jaylen Brunson drains with 4.4 seconds left in the ball game to give the Knicks a one-point lead of this score. 114 to 113. Wasn’t his best night. Was kind of sloppy with the basketball. I think had two turnovers in that fourth quarter. Had a couple of shots go halfway down and then pop out. But after he got shoved to the ground by Andrew Nemhard, the Knicks called another timeout, they rein bounded the ball. And as Brunson’s walking onto the floor, he told Mike Brown, “I’m going to go win this game.” And Coach Pound says, “You go do what you do, superstar.” And he did what he done does, which is win the game for the New York Knicks. Um, Jaylen Brunson saved New York City basketball. Jaylen Brunson saved the New York Knicks. And he saved a lot of people’s fandom for the Knicks as well. You win the game. Also though because of the way OGN and Obi got that steal on the last play of the game after Brunson hit that three to put you up one 114 to 113. There was still 4.4 seconds. Plenty of time for Indiana to get a good shot off. They try to force the ball on the inbound into Pascal Seakum. And there comes OG and an Obi knifing in to really kind of knock the ball in to the back court. A steal and that did it. And that stamped the Knicks with a win. He had a big three in the fourth quarter as well. It was the classic. No, no, no. Yes. Three in the corner. I had Brunson wide open, but he said, “I got this, Brunson. You do enough scoring on this team.” And then you got the duo off the bench. Like, if you would have told me that Tyler Kick and Jordan Clarkson would become major impact players, I’m not just saying players that help you win pieces of the puzzle. These guys are driving force players for the New York Knicks right now, dating back to that semifinal win in the NBA Cup against Orlando. Tyler Kok has put together three awesome performances in a row. And we all left Las Vegas with a championship. Yes. But more importantly, you left with the answer to your needs at the backup point guard spot. There’s been rumors the Knicks are going to go out and trade for Jos Alvarado. Cancel the deal. You got Tyler Kick at home. Said that was his best game against San Antonio. I think today might have been his best game. 16 points, 11 assists, six rebounds, 70% from the deck. Timely. Another initiator of offense. Someone that could take the ball out of Brunson’s hands. And we’re seeing that Brunson and Kak are starting to play together. And they’re playing well together. And even the defense for Tyler Ko is coming along. on that final possession, he was one of the five players on the floor. And that shows the trust that Mike Brown has in him. And Tyler Kick is someone that Jaylen Brunson really appreciates. He said, “Thank God we got Tyler Kick.” And you know what? I’m right there with you. And thank God the New York Knicks have Jordan Clarkson as well. You don’t win this game without him. All of his 18 points, five threes, six of 12 from the field. Uh big time shots in big time moments. and he did it in Las Vegas. He did it again today. It’s one of the best scorers to ever come off the bench in the NBA and the history of the NBA. I think that Trey Jameson was awesome in his minutes tonight. There’s been a lot of questions as well about what the Knicks are going to do at that backup big spot. If you want to kind of calculate Mitchell Robinson as a starter, people are wondering wondering if Ariel Hucky is ready. And I think tonight, and I get it against a bad Indiana Pacers team, Trey Jameson showed me that he could play. And I’m not saying he’s an all-star. I’m not saying that. I’m saying he can play five to eight minutes in a playoff game. Had a huge block in transition. I think it was Nemhard or McConnell. I don’t remember which Indiana guard tried to lay it up. He comes out of nowhere and he sends it the other way. I thought he’s had some good screens as well. Three of his five rebounds came on the offensive end. I I got to give it up for Trey Jameson the third. He played good hoops. Male Bridges turned it on as well. At one point he was 0 of 0 of three from downtown and then he ends up the game four of nine. A guy that has been nothing but consistent all year long. Didn’t play well in the NBA Cup finals against the uh the San Antonio Spurs. Kind of a soft benching maybe where they just rode the hot hand of Kick and Clarkson. And I’m sure he wasn’t happy about that, but he came out tonight, played big time hoops, 228 and five on great efficiency. It’s a three-point shot. Back was fallen after the prior five games. He didn’t shoot the ball well. You’re going to need this guy to be a big- time player. He was that tonight in a night where you needed it. Major salute to him. Huck, I thought, was solid as well. Four points, five rebounds, three assists, two blocks. Um, the more guys that you can come off the bench and make an impact, that’s only going to make your team that much better. Mohamd Diwara got his first start in the NBA tonight. I thought he did showed some good flashes on defense. I think he flashed the athleticism as well. He’s got a pretty quick first step for a guy his size. He had that first bucket of the game with that left-hand layup. Uh, saw him run in transition a little bit. Seakum kind of dropped him off at school a couple of times, but he competed. I think that was a good test for him as well. One thing that’s been disappointing all year long and even more disappointing tonight is Gershon Yabaselli. He just hasn’t found his way. He looks like a fish out of water out there. He doesn’t look comfortable on this team. His confidence is shot as well. I I feel bad for him. This is a guy that kind of took a little bit of a pay cut to come here. Maybe like a $500,000 or so, but the Knicks gave him three times the veteran minimum. And that was the biggest contract they were able to hand out in the free agency cycle. in 2025 and you’re getting a nothing burger from him. Maybe they look to trade him. I don’t know what you’re getting back for him. His value is at an all-time low and this is an organization that puts a value on value. Uh if you can kind of understand what I’m saying there. I don’t know. It’s been pretty disappointing. I was pretty pumped up about the Yab Yabiselli signing. Overall, a big win. A good win. Uh one that you stole. You stole it. Uh, if I want to be negative, which I am the greatest at, they got to be better from the free throw line. Like, it’s becoming a thing at this point where they’re just leaving way too many points at the free throw line. With the team that played tonight, with the players that shot free throws tonight, you just need to make more free throws. Brunson, I think, missed one. OG missed a couple. I remember uh Hucky missed or it was Yeah, it was Hucky missed one on that flagrant that that guy should be suspended for life for. Uh, totally kidding. But yeah, I want to see this team be better from the free throw line. The three-point shots fought fell. Got up 43 tonight. Knocked in almost 40% of them. A good win.
