Joe Schoen’s once-hyped 2024 Giants draft class is heading in the wrong direction

This would be more concerning if Schoen was still expected back next year.
Also can some hero work their magic on that article link?
I always say it takes 2-3 years to judge a draft class. Grades that come out right after the draft are stupid as hell.
Get better coaching.
Our rookies play a ton because the roster lacks depth. Our rookies look ok and we hedge that against bad results and then we overrate our talent. Our rookies “regress” because year one we are grading them on a curve and year two we truncate the normal developmental cycle because we expect results. Lot of curated fart sniffing by the org here.
overreacting to an underwhelming year 2 is the same thing as overreacting to a good rookie year. relax. struggles this year do not negate successes from last year.
Kind of a harsh thing to say when the biggest piece of that draft class suffered a ACL tear but looked as dominant as advertised in the few quarters prior to injury.
Theo is definetly having a breakout year / showing huge growth aswell.
Nubin & Phillips have seemingly regressed – but they also haven’t been any worse than our high prized Free Agents – so the coaching/scheme explanation has merit
Tracy had a shoulder injury but now looks to be the same player as prior with better ball security.
Muasau is still the same player he was his rookie year
What nonsense.
Nabers, Phillips, Theo Johnson, and Tracy are all legit starters.
Nope the talent is there, it’s just not properly coach ….. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
That’s what the worst coaching staff in the league will get you.
This happens every year with Schoen. Can’t wait until the “star studded” 2025 draft takes a step back or stays the same. Really hope a new coach prevents that
Posting articles you didn’t read because you like the headline is pretty fucking shit work. And then commenting around like you agree with the article is even worse. Real clown behavior
