  2. This is total gaslighting by Giannis. You may not have but your agent, who works for and talks extensively with you, has.

  3. As a small market fan (Wolves fan), I hate that Giannis is putting you guys through this. There is an old Minnesotan saying “shit or get off the pot”. I hope you guys get a good return from him! Fingers 🤞

  4. “…taken on a life of their own…”!? ESPN has a whole building full of people pushing this narrative.

  5. At what point do we rip the bandaid off? Giannis won’t be hated for leaving but will get backlash for pretending he’s not looking at the market

  6. This team is in total limbo until he either commits to stay for most likely the rest of his career or gets traded. It’s a little ridiculous.

  7. This is a whole lot of words saying very little. If Giannis wanted to shut everyone up, he could just say. “No, I’m not going to ask for a trade during this season.” That he isn’t saying that is much more important than anything he *is* saying.

  8. He is not going anywhere, he’s being vague in order to put pressure to the FO to make some moves.

  9. Giannis can end all this distraction to his team in 1 sentence but side steps the shit. This tells me all I need to know….i will forever love Giannis but I’m tired of this fucking drama.

  10. Just a reminder that these reports don’t matter until he actually gets traded. And also when they do “rip the bandaid off” this franchise will become the Wizards.

    So chill out

  12. Dude I wish he’d just be honest. He’s said over and over he loves the city, considers it home, and all else being equal would prefer to stay here and bring home another championship *here* but…..if the day comes when that becomes impossible to do he would prioritize competing over his love of the city. He’s already explained his thinking on this ad nauseam over the last 5 years or so. So to finally reach the point of the “but…” in his statements and then act all goofy about it is disappointing. Just acknowledge the shitty reality, convey disappointment that it’s happened and then state your honest intentions to stay true to your word that you now want to play somewhere with a real shot at the Finals. People will respect that even if they don’t like it. This bullshit is the worst option.

  13. A part of me wants to trade him but a part of me remembers the bucks pre Greek Freak and I don’t wanna ever go through that ever again!

  14. Giannis, cut the crap for once, man. I love you, but it is what it is. Cut the fake crap and be honest with yourself and your lifelong fans, as I am. I will follow you wherever you go, but keep it real, fam.

You couldn’t go to any contenders, so you decided to stay yet again, if you even stay in the end. That’s all there is to it. You got coaches fired, all-time Bucks favorites like Middleton, and greats like Jrue, along with many others. Yes, you yourself put all those guys into those situations, because the Bucks are dedicated to you and your needs just to keep you happy. You even got your brothers on the team for that specific reason.

Cut the crap and this is coming from a huge fan. Stay or go, if that backfires in the end is on you. I think Bucks babysit you way too much at this point

  15. The only remaining option we have to try and keep Giannis here is to make a drastic coaching change. No trade for bums like Lavine can fix this. We have to take a chance on a new coach. This roster isn’t fatally flawed.

  16. It’s fine if Giannis wants out. He won us the only championship we’ll likely see for the next 50 years. That being said I’m ready for this charade to end.

Your representative agent isn’t going to have exploratory trade discussion talks without your approval. Saying ‘you’ directly ‘haven’t talked to the Bucks’ might be true because your trade request came via way of your agent. This is just a move for Giannis to avoid any fall out or look like the bad guy who quit on the franchise which is silly – he’ll be beloved here for life regardless.

  17. Yeah he addressed them alright. I get Eric’s got to keep his relationship healthy with the franchise’s biggest player but at what point do you just press him instead of letting him weasel out a non-answer? How many times are we going to do this? He is smart enough to know that it’s all an act.

  18. Giannis is staying neutral, and while it may be frustrating for fans it is the smartest thing to do.

As a player you’re always expendable, the Luka trade proved that. It’s simply the most beneficial thing to do to keep your options open. I don’t think Giannis wants to leave Milwaukee, but he’s going to keep his options open to do what’s best for him. If he says now that he’s never going to leave, knowing full well that leaving is always an option depending upon situation, then he’ll be going back on his word. I get that it’s annoying and it keeps the media stewing over it, but I don’t really blame the guy. Anyone else who says they wouldn’t be doing the same in his shoes is lying to themselves. Ultimately, he’s not going to structure his life around the city of Milwaukee. He’s going to do what’s best for the people he loves, as most people would.

  19. I honestly am losing respect for him at this point. Its understandable if he wants to leave. Stop being a pussy and speak up and be honest. This is the hinting type shit women do

  20. Just go brother. Let us rebuild. This is such a distraction and it’s killing my enjoyment.

  21. I absolutely love giannis. I have 3 tattoos related to him/bucks. But he just needs to bloody cut the crap and make a real statement

  22. I just think you ALL are way off base. I too am upset and exhausted, but I refuse to buy into the national character smear campaign that they’ve pushed against Giannis for half a decade.

-agents do have conversations without informing their clients

-Giannis was quoted by Nehm himself years ago stating he takes and has always taken a hands off approach to managing off the court stuff.

-he clearly isn’t stating he’ll stay cause he’s undecided and waiting to see if his agent can or cannot produce an opportunity he feels would be worth the change.

-he isn’t gaslighting you about his agent–agents receive direction, goals and instruction from clients and then go to work on their behalf. His agent has the green light to explore options, which is implied. His agent does not likely inform him of every conversation that is held.

I feel bad that everyone is choosing the worst possible interpretation and stance on this. I deeply wish giannis would just make a definitive statement to alleviate the character hit he’s taking from this. Just all around depressing. My team sucks and my favorite player is being publicly hated, disregarded and diminished.
