Helene continues to speak the truth: "When will Luc Robitaille, who became their team president in 2017 after a decade in the front office, be held accountable for the misfortunes that have led to this bumpy and still-unsuccessful rebuild?"
Luc's a schmoozer, and if you want to keep him around in that role to show up at functions and do PR work, that's fine. Loved the guy as a player, but he's shown no ability to manage a front office and push this team forward. In order for this organization to truly be competitive we need a new coach, a new GM, and a new president.

New owner too. Remember AEG ceo Beckerman called us entertaining this season. Guy doesn’t give a shit about Kings hockey
The longer Luc stays in that position while the team continues to crumble year after year, the more it damages his legacy as a King. 10 years ago, I could have a lot of fond conversations about Robitaille and how much he impacted me being a fan growing up. Nowadays those conversations quickly turn into how much he is damaging this team. Obviously his record as a player here isn’t going anywhere, but how he’s viewed by the fans is growing more and more grim.
And he can take his statue with him.
I love Lucky, but I agree with her. He’s a legend and he’s one of the greatest kings of all time…..but he ain’t cutting it in the front office.
He basically used the “team is old and slow” talking point to get Lombardi ousted and then continued to perpetrate the same style of play. There is seemingly only one man that can lie that much and still have people believe him. Luc isn’t that man.
And yes Lombardi had his faults toward the end of his run which he owns.
After all this time the “Luuuuuucccc!” chant might actually turn to “Booooooo!”
You could see the cracks already, but when Luc said the “we were right there” line after the Edmonton series it confirmed that he is not watching the same team as we are. On the Mount Rushmore of Kings players, but get this guy away from management.
He’s so clearly out of his depth in this position, and has been for years. Literally every single choice he has made, every single one, has been a disaster for the organization.
Until he is gone, the Los Angeles Kings are not a serious hockey club.
Luc Robitaille : Kevin Lowe
Same shit. Great players who have relied on their old boys club connections to staff the teams they’ve led.
