This confirms everyone’s thought of DeMeco not being hands on with the Offense enough. I think him dropping play calling duties in week 4 to Burke also coincides with the improvement from the team. Sometimes we forget that we have a first time GM and Head Coach, it has not been the smoothest ride but man we are in a much better place now than before, things take time. Hopefully we continue to see improvement as DeMeco imprints more into the other phases of the game.

  1. This season, we didn’t start winning until he decided to take a step back, it’s really eased my mind about the whole “defensive coach in an offensive league” thing

  2. Kind of what you want to see out of your head coach. He took responsibility, made adjustments, and vastly improved the situation leading to a string of victories. He’ll only get better as time goes on. The way things are going though, I don’t think we’ll be able to keep Burke for very long before he gets offered an HC position elsewhere.
