I saw this on IG. Seems Boras has lost his fucking mind, but he’s been losing his mind. Dude definitely shows up for clients that have it and is now inflating his own self worth to the actual value of the talent.

Safe to say I don’t think we see Belli in blue again. I am okay with that, and trust Lord Friedman.

  1. What did he do last season to make him believe his worth that much money. Not that he played bad but he wasn’t putting up MVP numbers last I checked

  2. Sorry, that’s just absurd. A third of that over 5 or 6 years would be a huge win for him.

  3. Eh I’m kinda hesitant on the source of this. I only saw it on Twitter from someone who said this came from an “anonymous source”. In fact, Boras told them to take it down because the dollar amount wasn’t accurate.

  4. Anything for clicks.

If true, waaaayyy too much money, unless he’s ok being paid on layaway and a fraction of that.

  5. This sub needs a reporter tier list like r/soccer to filter out nameless sources from social media accounts.

  6. I can’t edit it, but for those saying I’m falling into click bait, yes I’m aware of this “retraction”

“Scott Boras said my report about Bellinger asking for $400m was “nonsense” and asked me to retract it,” Bloom wrote on X. “In immense respect to him and our decades-long relationship and despite my very credible source, consider it retracted. He didn’t give me a replacement figure.”

However, to me it could be PR for all of them but the “damage control kind” from Boras. I don’t buy it if the reporter is standing by his source.

  7. Boras strikes again. 400 is a ridiculous sum. And 8 years is ridiculous as well. I’d be shocked if anyone gave him more than 3-4 years 5 max. And I’d say he’s worth about 20-30 a year. So if got 4 year 80-100 million that’s in line with his worth.

  8. I have a feeling this offseason might be a repeat of Boras’ 2024 free agents class. Asking too much and not finding takers. I wouldn’t surprised if some of them take one year prove it deals like Snell and Chapman did with the Giants.
