captain of the Hurricanes. Carolina’s won five in a row, three of them by shootout. Seth

deflection by Specnikov. Got 13 points and is a plus 12. Here come the Panthers with speed. 
Cunning over the line. He’s got Noah Greger. A shot saved by Busy. Played it to the boards. Greer 
got a piece of it. Now the board battle. Worked up to the blue line. Samuskevich tries to settle it 
down. He does. Backhander wouldn’t go. It might be the best waiver wire pickup in NHL history. 
No, no exaggeration. Slavven will shoot. Oh, that one got through wide. Played to the corner. 
Marian over to pick it up again. Look at the work behind the net. Marian backhand stop. Moose in 
the blue paint. Chaffy trying to get to the net. Sets up Eer’s. Big save. Babroski. The carum to

it home and Carolina’s got the lead one- nothing. Incredible save there by Sergey Babroski. But then 
he got spun around and in the Panthers defense, they just couldn’t track down that puck. Well, 
here we get a look from behind the net. There’s the original shot. Broski makes a save. Then 
it goes off the post and then the second try on the rebound. The first blast. Gostas off the 
post and then Babroski’s down on the ice. Just cleared out to center and look out. 
Tankowski breaks in to the net and he couldn’t get the one-hander on goal. 
Lost in got back defensively to stall for a threeon two. Tipped away by Forsling. Great 
stick. Here comes Boquist. One-on-one cuts to the middle. Boquist to the net. Saved 
by Busy. Spinning with that puck now. Knocked away by Forsling. Good effort by 
Forsling. And Ecklad before that puck out at center. Los Arena with a steal moving 
in. Lost Arena in front and it’s stopped. looking behavior is only making but here the 
focus on just getting out of this and keeping it a onegoal game. A chance for Jarvis and Babroski 
makes the second big save of the period on Seth Jarvis. Yeah, and that’s what you need. There’s 
that shot from Jarvis read perfectly by Veroski. finds Dlad. He’ll lift it out. AJ Greer 
trying to get to it. Greer moves in. Greer tied up. Puck is loose in the blue 
paint. And now we get the whistle. Second, but then he just bounced down and Greer just he 
just couldn’t get a shot away or draw a penalty. Here’s a look. Watch Eclad there lifted high in 
the air. Greer had a little step on the defense, but they recover. There you see Busy. He just 
went all the way back in his net. Petri looks lead pass. Boquist at the line, has traffic to 
the net. It’s Greer and Busy with the save. Miller leaves it for Chatfield and the drop for Aaho. 
There’s the shot blocked in front. Oh, then they score. It’s two nothing Hurricanes. After further 
review, the puck was kicked in the net. Therefore, there is no golden flag. And it was kicked in. 
How about that? Marian waits. Marian in front. Couldn’t get it to Verhagy. Marian tracks it 
down. Aaron Ecklad to Carter Vhagi. Back for Recklad with a chance. Glove save. Busies. Just 
too far behind the goal line. And then Ecklad, he sneaks in. Didn’t get a lot of wood on 
that. Right into the glove. zone. The battle with Miller and Chatfield is back there to play 
up the boards and just out to center. Look out. Lead pass. A ho’s all alone on a breakaway 
and he scores. It’s two nothing Carolina. But a nifty tip right there as Forsling 
tried to stand up and then Eklad came over and all they did was just dump it 
in the middle of the ice and Aaho was able to skate into it and he just fired it 
right between the legs of Sergey Babroski. Rodriguez got it ahead to Greer. Lead feed. 
Samoskevich gets by one man. Samoske with a chance. Save by busy. AO fires, deflected into 
the corner. Hurricanes control. Specnikov at the goal line. Here’s Gstas Bear put out in front. 
What a save by the Brussi. And then AO scores on the rebound. AO’s second of the night. It’s three 
nothing Hurricanes. Yeah. And that takes away the unbelievable save there by Sergey Babroski first 
place. But here’s the work. Carolina on the power play. Go right across. There’s the save right 
there. But then the followup of of Aaho Schwikov is robbed at the side of the net. And what a play 
shot just over the blocker of Sergey Babroski off the stick of Aaho. Good look at it right there. 
Not a not much to shoot at. Borsling shoots in. Miller couldn’t clear. Verhagy is there. Here’s 
Bennett in front. Mar turns and it goes wide. Marc gets scored. Brad Marian is on the score sheet and 
the Panthers are alive. It’s three to one. This play all started with Carter Verhagy getting on 
his horse. And there he takes him out. Bennett to Marian. The puck goes right back as Bennett pokes 
it back to Marian and the other side of the net. Look at Marian waiting for the puck. Brings it to 
his forehand and gets it through. Busy. Finally, the Panthers have scored a goal tonight. Well, 
extend that little stretch. That’s 26. Nikolola flips it to the line. Rodriguez is taken down. 
That’s interference. Not called. Samoske. He’s got in front. Oh, Busy made the save. Stan 
Coven stolen away by Jones. Jones over the blue line. Centers. Here’s Bennett. Save by 
Busy. Looking for good aggressive play. Look at Jones. Steals that puck, sneaks over the 
blue line, then dumps it into the middle of the ice so Bennett can skate into it on his 
forehand right off the glove again. Panthers open to pull something out here. Down two with 
234 left in the game. They win the faceoff. It’s Jones up at the line. Baran now sweeps it in 
front. Deflected on goal save. rebound stop and then they score. They get it back. It’s Sam 
Bennett. The Caps are within one with 225 left. Continues his toward pace as the 
Panthers get the puck to the net. They almost jammed it in with Rodriguez 
at the side and Bennett timed it. Looking for some magic. Loose side of the net. Londell 
fights for the puck. Rodriguez floats it to the net. Blocked away. Mar in front. The shot. Score. 
Sam Reinhardt ties it at three. What a comeback. Oh, there’s a lot of tired Panthers out on that 
ice. Look at Sam Reinhardt. Lundelle did the heavy work in behind the net. Pumps it back. Panthers 
get a floater out in front. Goes off of Slavven onto the stick of Marshian and then he just waits 
for Yeah, they’ve got three forwards on the ice. This is Jarvis. So dangerous. Cutting in. Gets 
to the net. Oh, Sergey Babroski. Sponsored by defender Sergey Babroski with the glove. Wow, 
what a collision. You see Jarvis. Looks like he got the goalpost with his ribs right 
there. Marian trying to get on the ice. He does. So does Bennett. Panthers looking to 
get a chance for the big two. And it’s Marian with Bennett. Maran Bennett backhand. Busy with 
a huge stop to keep it alive. Has Marian. Maran through center. He and Bennett move in. Marian 
removed and Busy makes the save. Takes the puck in full speed. Look at how he just makes a 
little move to the inside on the backand. Oh, Busy right the last second used that big frame. 
He wasn’t too sure where that puck was going to come off the stick of Marshian on the back. Here 
we go. And the Panthers complete the comeback from three goals down. Busy the first save in the 
shootout. Comes in. What? Whoops. He recovers. AO against Babroski and Babroski stones it. Looks 
like Aaho was trying to go between the legs again. Yep, that’s exactly where he was trying to do it. 
Put it on the ice. Sam Reinhardt trying to change that and beat Brandon Busy. Reinhardt, he’s got 
it. He tied it with 42 seconds left and now he gives the Panthers the lead in the shootout move. 
We’ve seen it before by Reinhardt. Comes in on the right side. Can win it. Blake one for three this 
season. Walks in and he scores and we continue. Sergey Babroski thought that the shot was coming 
and then the last move to the forehand. Rodriguez will try to reclaim the lead in round number 
four and he does. Rod gives him another chance. Rodriguez look at like he’s going to go to the 
back hand. The game on the line in round four. Can the Panthers come all the way back. Let’s go 
home, baby. The first time in franchise history, the Panthers trail by three goals 
with 10 minutes left in a shootout. Sergey Babroski makes the save. Evan Rodriguez the game deciding goal. the
