I’m joined by Matt Coronado and his dad Rich who is on his first dad’s trip. Uh Matt, I’ll start with you though. How what’s it been like having your dad on the trip and getting a little bit of a taste of of what you guys go through every day? >> Yeah, it’s been so much fun. It’s awesome. Uh I feel like for him to to get to see what it’s like and um we had a good day traveling yesterday and a great team dinner. Um and I think it was cool to to watch the meetings this morning, too. So um it’s been a lot of fun so far. >> Rich, from your perspective, how’s it been going? What’s kind of stood out for you? Well, this is, you know, for me to see all the behind the scenes stuff because they don’t tell us much, right? Everything’s tight to the vest with these guys. So, he doesn’t answer any of my questions. So, now to see it live, just soaking it all in and enjoying every minute of it. Really. >> Anything that’s been surprising for you that stood out? >> Uh, no, not really. I mean, unfortunately, my wife went on the Mom strip last year, so she spoiled a lot of things that were going to come. [laughter] But um it’s been just awesome and I think the Flames are so generous with the way they do everything you want for nothing and uh just just an awesome experience. The time I get to spend cuz he is so far away. So this is nice to get all this extra time and see all the behind the scenes stuff is really really just a great experience. >> So I think the team went 2 and 0 the last time the dads were on the trip. Do you feel any pressure heading into tonight’s game? I know. Coach Huska did put that pressure on us and I think the moms did well last year too until they got the fires which cut the cut it short but yeah. N I think it’s the the more the pressure is just on us to have a great time which with this group of dads I don’t think it’s going to be a problem. >> Awesome. And Matt, do you are you feeling a little bit of extra juice heading into tonight’s game? >> Uh I think just a little extra excitement. I think everyone’s um looking forward to playing in front of their dad and um like he kind of said, we’re we’re lucky to have this opportunity to have them here. So, um, I think we’re we’re excited to play well in front of them. [music]
