Brunson Delivers CLUTCH WIN | Kolek Incredible! | Knicks vs Pacers Post Game | EP 665
Let’s run it back from the top. Seven in a row. All right, here we go. Salute to Knicks Nation on this Thursday evening. Another edition of Knicks Fan TV’s Postgame Live. The number one show for the fans by the fans. It wasn’t pretty, but it was gritty. The Knicks get a 114 to 113 win over the Indiana Pacers. But let’s take this thing to the third quarter with the Knicks down by 14 points with three to go. Tyler the Creator starts cooking. scoring and assisting on the Knicks final 13 points of the quarter. And that would get the Knicks back into this game because after several turnovers and sloppy play, the Knicks just could not put the Pacers in the rear view mirror. But after Pascal Seakum’s incredible fourth quarter, nine points for the Pacers, there’s only one captain clutch and his name is Jaylen Brunson, ladies and gentlemen. Jaylen Brunson scoring the final third, the final three to seal it. And OG the dog putting the game away. Knicks get number seven in a row, 114 and 113. And as I said from the top, ladies and gentlemen, it wasn’t pretty, but it was gritty, man. Call me up on the KFTV Discord. Let’s talk about it. Wow. Unreal. [singing] >> Unbelievable, man. Unbelievable, man. Salute. Salute. Salute. Salute. Man, >> are you not entertained? >> [laughter] >> Are you not entertained? Knicks nation. I mean, you know, the Knicks go into this game short-handed, no Josh Hart, no Carl Anthony Tabs, no Mitchell Robinson. Was it a a you know NBA Cup hangover? Were these guys really injured? We’ll find out tomorrow against Philly. But nevertheless, we had uh the reinforcements, the replacements game, if you will, for this one. So, it was super interesting. You know, a lot of heroes to go around in this one. Obviously, Jaylen Brunson is, you know, going to get a lot of acclaim here for ending this game, winning this game for the Knicks with a huge, huge three-pointer over Andrew Nebard. And Captain Clutch, you know, he opened the game very hot. Had 20 points early in this one, but in the fourth quarter, it was a struggle for Jaylen. He goes one for five in the fourth. The old foot trick as Clyde would describe it. Turns the ball over off of his leg. But he just kept going get going to it. He just kept with it. And you you knew that despite the misses cuz he had a couple that just really went in and out. But you knew that Cap he he was going out on his shield. You understand me? He was going out on his shield and he would get a filthy filthy elbow three. That’s his shot. He got to a spot. Nebard ham down man down and uh Cap gets the three with OG Adenobi sealing it with the inbound steel as OG does the dog sealing it. But man oh man, let me tell y’all something. Even though those two guys are going to get a lot of credit, as they should cap, one of my players of the game, but my A1 player of the game was Tyler Kolink, Tyler the Creator. Coming off of a sensational NBA Cup outing where Tyler logged several fourth quarter minutes, he was even better in this one. 16 points, 11 assist for Tyler. And as I said in my in my opener, the the aggressiveness by Tyler on display here, this is a different kid from his rookie year. This is a different guy. And when the Knicks are down by 14 points in that third quarter, the starters really didn’t have it. The Pacers were starting to pull away. They went on a big run there in that third quarter. It’s 3 minutes left in the third. Tyler comes into the game for Brunson and he would account for scoring or assisting on the final 13 points of the quarter. He was that brilliant. I mean, I wrote down a lot of these plays from Tyler Kohic. How about the pass from Kohic to uh to Huck to to Bridges where they’re running the double screen and Bridges sets the back screen for Trey Gson and Tyler Kohlick passes him open. He didn’t even cut yet. And Tyler throws a dart on the money bullet to Macau Bridges in the paint and Macau converts. The very next play, they run the same play but on the other side of the court and the Pacers are trying to figure out this double screen, the back screen by Bridges and Tyler Kick takes it around the left side and scoops it in for a layup. He finds Macau Bridges for a three in that same uh in that same run, that 13-point run by Tyler Kolic. threads the needle to Trey Gon in a pick and roll. Another Macau three from Tyler Kolick. What a sensational third quarter by this kid. Scored or assisted on the final 13 of the third. So that would cut the Nick lead from four I mean cut the Pacer lead from 14 down to six. And that was big. Fourth quarter he comes in. He draws the charge on Pascal Seakkum. The the the referees first called it a blocking foul. It was a blatant charge in my opinion. Mike Brown blows a challenge whistle finally and he gets it. He gets rewarded. So Tyler Koh draws the charge there on Seakum. I talked about the the feed to uh to to GS on that Macau backstream. That happened in the fourth quarter. My mistake. I said it happened in the third. It happened in the fourth and then they ran the same play and Tyler gets the scoop layup from the left side. That happened in the fourth quarter. Correction on that. And then how about the play in the fourth? Now he’s getting Mixie. He’s got he’s got Andrew Nebard guarding him and he gives Andrew Nebard a taste of his own medicine. Whoa, that was incredible. He cooks Andrew Nebard. It was to the point where after the Pacers called timeout, THEY GOT TO COME OUT TO TIMEOUT AND PUT BENEDICT MATARIN ON TYLER KICK. Tyler Kohic, ladies and gentlemen, senses a message to Mike Brown that said, “Listen, I don’t care who’s coming back when they coming back. I need minutes.” What an impressive performance by the creator. You know, my guy Justin Melli killing the game right now on Instagram. He he texted me today. He said, “You know what? What’s what’s Tyler’s nickname?” I said, “They called him the creator.” I didn’t make that up. I’m not taking credit for that one. That was all you guys. And boy, did he show it out there. 16 points once again for Tyler. 11 assists. He had a couple untimely turnovers. It is what it is. You know, only two, but he was sensational. had this offense under control and if it wasn’t for him, you don’t get the Captain Clutch heroics and the OG heroics. And even in that fourth quarter when Cap is trying to orchestrate and he wasn’t he wasn’t having his way, there was another play where Kohic finds OG for a corner three. I mean, those were some big big minutes again for Tyler Kick. And this time again in sorry, not this time again two nights in a row where he’s getting it done in the clutch. So, absolutely sensational game by Tyler Kick. Excellent job by him. And he got the he got the Knicks. You know, Cap is cap. Cap is a killer. He He’s going to miss some. He didn’t have He didn’t have his legs tonight. NBA Cup hangover, whatever you want to call it. But we give Cap so much credit on this show every day. We got to give Tyler his flowers, man. We We got to give the kid his flowers. He was brilliant tonight. And here was Captain Clutch Jaylen Brunson after the game speaking on Tyler Koolic and his play. Absolutely brilliant. Here we go. >> The the start of the game. Hang on. Let me uh run it back to everybody in the chat. CB the franchise here solo do KFTV postgame live. Like, share, and subscribe. Here was Jaylen Brunson after the game with Mike and Clyde. I’m not going to ask you to to rate, but this has to be one of the more satisfying wins that that you’ve had in a while. >> Yeah. Um I mean, I was garbage the the start of the game and then my stent in the second half was garbage as well. Um I want to thank the Lord for Tyler Cole for playing the way he’s playing and saving me. Um we we we found a way to win win this one. Brunson, you you shoot a shot, it’s short, you dribble off your foot. Obviously, you you’re hurting out there, and then when the game’s on the line, you come away with the big three ball. >> Yeah. Um very similar shot to the one I shot earlier around like the 30 40 second mark. Um I’m comfortable going that way. And um I knew that I was going to have another opportunity. And after, you know, the missed shot and the turnover and I think the the miss shot before the turnover. So, um, I’m just happy that the ball went in, we came with a win. >> I remember you you saying early last year before he really played that Tyler Kick was an NBA player and you were really impressed with him. What’s been the difference though in him that you’ve seen over the last several weeks? >> Um, him just staying ready. Now, he he works uh as hard as anyone and uh I mean this this this dude’s always in the gym um even on blackout days. you know, I take pride in trying to be the only one in the gym and then he’s right there with me and um and he just he works so hard and so he’s always he has that ability to stay ready because of his work ethic. So, it’s um the world may be, you know, surprised to it, but uh we knew this is what he’s capable of. >> I think you’re being modest. I see him as an extension of you. He’s been watching you and his game is so similar to your game, man. >> Yeah. Um I mean, if he went to Nova, it maybe would have been a little better than me, but uh yeah, he stuck with Marquette. Well, the championship game in Las Vegas was one of the special wins, but this one has its own special feeling about it. Thank you, Jaylen. >> Thank you. Appreciate you guys. >> All right, that was Captain Clutch, Jaylen Brunson, after the game with Mike and Clyde. That was courtesy of MSG Networks. Captain Clutch being the captain held himself accountable. Hey, I did not have a great game. I was garbage as he said, but found a way to get to his spot there and deliver for his team when they needed him to in the fourth quarter. But then it gave Tyler Koolak a lot of credit, giving him credit for staying ready. And boy is he. Tyler Kolic is really taking advantage right now of those minutes without Miles McBride, without Landry Shamut in this rotation. Tyler Kick is going to he’s going to force Mike Brown’s hand. But I don’t I I don’t see that being an issue because because Brown has already shown he he’s going to go with the hot guys and he’s not afraid to to mix and match no matter who is healthy in that roster. But overall, those two guys, man, that guard attack between Kick and Brunson really drove this home. But there were a lot of heroes in this game. As I mentioned, OG OG, despite him um despite him not shooting the ball all that well throughout the game, did come up big with a three-pointer in this one. And that OG3 came during just looking at the the playbyplay here. Salute to everybody in the chat. CP the franchise here. The OG3 came that was that tied the game after the Pacers took the lead like and the Pacers went on on a on a big run there in that fourth quarter. They were up by as much as I believe they came into the to the fourth with a six-point lead. The Knicks would end up cutting it and taking the lead up by one and then the Pacers came back with their own run and then went up by seven with five minutes to go. So in crunch time here, the Knicks had to storm back and win it. And as I said, OG had a big three in that. I thought Hulk Py gave the Knicks some solid minutes and he ends up getting caught on a flagrant foul. He gets fouled by Isaiah Jackson flagrant foul. He makes one of two there. But I thought overall Huck Port’s effort was gritty in Mitchell Robinson’s absence. A lot of guys, man. Mau Bridges, you know, MueL Bridges and and Tyler Kick, they seem to have some chemistry going because that third quarter was really all them. It was really all of them. And Macau Bridges would finish with, I believe he had 22 22 points for Macau Bridges. Nine of 19 shooting from the field, 49 from downtown, eight rebounds, five assists, one turnover, and a block. Macau started to turn it up in that third quarter with Tyler Kolic. They were really going OG 16 points, five of 13 from the field, two of seven from downtown. I mentioned Guck Porty. I thought he was pretty solid in his minutes. gave the team some good energy, good effort on the defensive side of the ball. Four points, five rebounds, three assists for Huck. And I thought by and large with Huck, the one thing I want to see with Huck is his decision making. How is he playing? Because you know he’s going to give you good energy. He runs the floor well. He plays a good pick and roll game, especially offensively. Had some good passes out of the short roll. But it’s really it’s his overall decision-making, and it was good by large. He did pick up like a silly foul trying to get through a screen. They tried to review it for like a flagrant foul. That was ridiculous. But, you know, that was the one blemish to me by Hawky, but I thought overall I thought Huck was pretty good overall tonight. I also thought uh Trey Gson I thought Trey Gson really gave this team some really good energy. That that’s the his game though. That is his game. He’s a strong physical player. Five rebounds. He got rewarded tonight. They found him. Kick threw him in alley. thread the needle to him in that little pick and roll and then he gets the and one there. So he got five points there, five rebounds for Trey Gson, one assists. I liked his minutes tonight as well. I I really did. And then you know Clark Clarkson gave him some good scoring ultimate. 18 points with Clarkson for Cardiac. Six to 12 from the field, five and nine from downtown. Those were much needed points because those other guys, you’re not really expecting those other guys to score. But Clarkson’s 18 was really good. A quiet 18 for Clarkson off the bench. So, good contributions. And then Dawara was a story tonight because he got the start. So, you had Diwara starting alongside OG and Macau. And he opened the game up with he had a nice little scoop layup. Made a lot of mistakes, but it is what it is. He He is a project after all. made a lot of mistakes out there. But the one thing that you could see between all these guys, whether it was Diwara, Huckorty, Jes, Mike Brown was very quick, quick hooks with those guys, teaching lesson back out on the court. Quick hook, teaching lesson, back out on the court. They were actively coaching. You saw the players out there from Kohic to Bridges, all those guys coaching up those more inexperienced deeper end back end of the rotation guys. So you could see this was kind of on the job training for a lot of these guys for Jesara. And so I thought that was good. That was really all I was looking for today, especially when they’re coming in there short-handed off of the Vegas trip. I said, “You know what? I’ll chalk this up to a schedule loss. I’m not even trying to look at the score. Pacers was up by 167.” I said, “You know what? Throw this one in the garbage. This is a throwaway game. I just want to see how these back end of the rotation players looked.” But Tyler set it off in that third quarter. Three minutes to go, 14-point lead, and he was out there cooking like John Stockton cooking. Him and Macau was going off in that third. And then I said, “Okay, we got a game.” Then in the fourth quarter, Seakum comes out nine straight pacing points. I said, “Ah, man. All right, here we go.” And then the Knicks claw it back. Tyler helps claw it back. And then as I said, the Pacers would go back up after the Knicks take the lead. Paces would go back up by seven. Then the captain comes through in a clutch. Never say die. Seven in a row. It wasn’t pretty, but it was gritty. So it’s everybody in the chat once again. Hit the like button, hit the share button, subscribe to the channel. CP on the solo dooo tonight. Nicks Fix, are you there? >> CP, >> can you hear me? >> Loud and clear. Go ahead. >> What’s Bro, what’s going on? I think somebody else got the got the game on in the background. I can’t You hear that? >> Um, well, I I I just loaded up a lot of people in here. Hang on. Hang on. No, I don’t hear that. So, you can go ahead. Just go ahead with your take. Go ahead. Fire off. >> All right. [snorts] I got you. Yeah, man. All right. So, I’m I’m going to start talking, man. I think yo, with this emergence of Cole, it changes the entire trajectory of the Knicks, man. like, bro, he’s putting he’s putting teams in he’s putting players in their exact spots. Uh LD King Matthews and I were in the the in the lounge and I was saying, bro, he’s just lobbing the ball. If you really look, it’s like a quarterback touch, right? He got a feathery touch and he lays it out exactly where it’s going to be. And the thing is, you know, he’s got such a high IQ. There was a play that you touched on, CP, he looks directly at Haporti and then he he fires a Nola look past the OG in the corner for that three. So, I mean, bro, if this is if this is truly an emergency, it really this is this is it. Like, this is the true point guard now that comes in and it allows you to play Brunson off that ball. And CP, I don’t know if you saw, but like on a defensive end, the Pacers are trying to screen Kick off cuz Koh and and and Brunson are playing defense at the top of the key. So they’re trying to get Kick off the ball defensively, which means that he’s his step defensively has emerges like he’s not just a cone anymore. Yo, I don’t even [laughter] Can I say it, man? Yo, and the last thing CP I wanted to tell you cuz I had called in on the last show. He’s such a high like IQ player and against the game like against the Spurs, he was bumping WBY off of his spots just a little bit. That little bit of a bump allows guys like OG and Male to recover. Yo, this this is a gem, man. I mean, he’s a he’s a he’s a a blend between Brunson and Stockton, which is a crazy crazy blend to have. >> Yeah. >> Let’s see, man. Let’s see. Take it easy, CP. >> Absolutely. Salute to the chat. Salute to you, Nick. Fix everybody in the chat. Rate that call in the chat. One being trash, five being facts. I’m I’mma hold off on the Hall of Fame comparisons there. But tonight, he did did well. And as you mentioned on the defensive end and you mentioned how he defended on the Spurs. How about when he gets switched out onto Pascal Seakkum? I believe it was in the third in the third quarter. It was it the third? No, it might have been the second quarter. It might have been second quarter cuz I’m looking now and the Pacers were going this way. He gets switched out onto Seakkum and he’s moving Seakum off his spots and forced a tough shot or forced a tough miss by Seakum with OG helping. I thought that was a good possession there for Tyler Kohic. But see, these are the little things that’s going to keep him in this rotation. The playmaking, we get wowed by the playmaking. That’s light work for him. The playmaking is light work. He came into the league like that. But it’s number one, his aggressiveness as a scoring threat. now, which opens up everything. He’s not afraid to take guys off the dribble. Remember remember him last year how hesitant he was. This is a different story right now. He’s not he’s not secondguessing taking guys off the dribble, attacking the basket. I talked about that two-play sequence where he finds Jes, threads the needle to Jes. The next play they run the same play, but then he attacks the basket and lays it in. That those are the little things that’s keeping Tyler out here. Then the defense, he’s holding it down defensively. Excellent. And as the Knicks fix said, one of the most important aspects for Tyler Kolick right now or or this is a key moment for him rather because with Duce McBride out and Landry Shamut out, the Knicks can really get an extended look here at their backup point guard. The previous super chat talked about, do we still need Alvarado? Well, we’re going to evaluate here. Who knows how long Duce McBride could be out with the high ankle sprain. You got two months to the to the trade deadline. So Tyler Kick’s play development and growth as the backup point guard can solve one of the Knicks major holes that was coming into that that it was a major hole coming into the season. Remember Malcolm Brogden retired. They brought in Malcolm Brogden to be the backup point guard. He retires abruptly. So the whole story is like, man, where are we going to go? Who’s going to be the backup point guard? So now this is Tyler’s time to shine and he’s taking advantage of it. But the key thing is what we’re what we saw in the NBA Cup final and what we saw tonight and what we saw again in the closing minutes. You had two playmakers out there. You had two playmakers out there and it allows Jaylen to play off ball because now you have another guy who can get downhill with the ball in his hands and you can trust that he will take care of it. See, that’s the difference. Like OG, he can attack the basket. Mau he can attack the basket. But those guys are not natural playmakers. You now have a natural playmaking point guard who you can put out there and put Brunson off ball if you need to and he won’t kill you now defensively or hasn’t in the past two games. He’s running hot. That could be a major development here for this team because if we go back to the playoffs against these same Pacers, that was one of the Knicks major weaknesses that the Pacers exposed. It was their lack of multiple ball handlers. So, as a result, they wore Brunson down. They drained the shot clock picking him up 94 feet. You didn’t have anybody else who could respond to the ball pressure. And that’s that’s going to be another test for Tyler. That’s going to be another test. Make no mistake. Like let’s now let’s see against OKC’s. Now, you know, when we go see OKC, that’s going to be the next step. But right now in this development phase, this trial run, he’s passing the test. And that could be very big and important for the Knicks because now if you’re going into the trade deadline, and as I told y’all, Yabaselli, no disrespect, you could come to the once a Nick Always Nick barbecue down the road. You you bring Frank, you bring Forier, you bring all of them. You use that money and now maybe you say, “Okay, now can we go get a wing? Do we go get a backup big? Whatever we need because maybe this backup point guard spot, we can trust Tyler in a big spot. That’s where they want to be.” 16 points, 11 rebounds for Tyler the Creator, ladies and gentlemen. An outstanding game. He He gave Neb hard a taste of his own medicine. Great night for him. Welldeserved night for Tyler Koolic. LD, speaking of Tyler Koolick, let’s get to a Tyler Kick fan. Let’s get to LD. >> I’m quick. I’m going make it quick. >> Let’s go. >> I’ve talked to you a lot this week. I know people want to talk. Everything Nick Fix said, as you mentioned, we talked in the chat before this. First of all, how you doing? >> Good, man. Fantastic. Happy and blessed. >> Is obviously great. I want to say this. Uh, son of New York, Jose Alvarado, if you’re listening, no thank you. Uh, and Dante Deventzo, if it involves McBride or Kolic, no thank you. What we should do is maybe try to move Yaboo and Pome for Dante, whatever the case may be. But we have what we need as far as uh backup point guard. I do agree with what you’re saying as far as other test because he’s definitely doing an amazing job right now. It is still the NBA and there’s still some amazing teams out there. The Rockets, >> right? Right. You know, OKC, there’s still real ball out there, you know. So, we’re excited for everything that Tyler is doing. Uh, but, you know, let’s not jump overboard with, you know, I’m the biggest Tyler fan, but again, looking at the rest of the league, we definitely still got a lot of competition out there. But so far, he’s doing a fantastic job, >> and everybody else is doing an amazing job as well. Muel Bridges benefits so much off Tyler Cole’s play. Even if you go back to last season to watch those three games that he started, MueL was just eating consistently >> in motion, passing him open. It just it’s a beautiful thing to have the Knicks have somebody who passes the ball like this is fantastic. >> Shout out to Mike Brown, >> right? It’s >> They haven’t They haven’t had it in Brunson’s tenure here, >> bro. Have we had it in a long time? Maybe Jason Kid was the last time that we had somebody who passed first. You know what I’m saying? Like >> I can’t remember. I remember watching the Boston Celtics win championship and just being mad at Rajan Ram. >> I just need to sit down just angry. >> Yeah. >> But all in all though, good job Tyler Cole. Good job Knicks. Let’s keep going. I thought this was a throwaway game. They said, “No, LD, you’re tripping. We want to win. Go Knicks.” Aha. >> Rate that call in the chat. LD, he’s a franchise channel member. Double duty tonight. He called in earlier during the lunchtime show. We had a great lunchtime show. Good conversation. rate that call in the chat. One being trash, five being facts. The Discord is now open. So yeah, I’d say look, you take it one day at a time, you take it one game at a time. You’re encouraged by what you see from him. The confidence, somebody in the chat just said the chat’s gone kind of crazy. The confidence from Tyler Kolic, that is the key here, man. That’s the key. And and he’s he’s really he really delivered tonight. But just getting keeping this team in this game where they were down by as much as 16. Fourth quarter, third quarter they’re down by 14. Fourth quarter they’re down by seven. I really thought that the supporting cast a lot of unsung heroes as I start said opening up the game uh from OG Macau. I thought Macau was really great tonight. Trey Gson great minutes. This is a guy. When was the last time Trey Gson played? Opening night. I mean I’m talking about like real minutes. Was it opening night when when Josh Hart wasn’t available? So though like the uh gems Hucky Hucky good minutes by supporting cast to keep this thing close so that Tyler Cap and then OG could seal it for you. So to everybody in the chat man like, share and subscribe. If you guys are new here, leave us a hashtag new. We’ll shout you guys out. 114 to 113. The Knicks get a win. Let me go through some more super chats. Make sure we are getting everybody here tonight. Call us up. Sensational win by the New York Knicks. Shout out to Kenya Dig It 919 Super Chat says JB backto back clutch player of the year. Hands down. What the hell got into Tyler Kick aka TKO? Hey, he’s he’s figuring it out. He’s figuring it out. Year two, he’s figuring figuring it out. Shout out to Angel Vallejo. $10 super chat says Malcolm Brogden sacrificed the rest of his career for Tyler Koh. Thank you, Malcolm Brogden. Barry Foster 7957. Salute to you. He says Yahoo got to go. Yeah, you know that that’s that’s literally the one guy who really wasn’t worth speaking on tonight. Minus seven for Yabiselli. He he was the only one in a minus, you know. I mean, no, Dawara wasn’t in a minus as well. Diara, but but again, he didn’t pay Dawara. He paid Yabelli. He paid him that taxpayer mid level. It’s been a major struggle for him. It’s been a major struggle for him and it continues to be that way. So, you hope for the best. Do you hope he rebounds, recovers, tomorrow’s another game, another opportunity for him? Because I do wonder, you know, with the second night of a backto back, Mike Brown did talk about how that NBA Cup, the winner really doesn’t get rewarded with and yeah, you get the guap, you get the money, but workload wise, the Pacers hadn’t played since Sunday. So, it’s a little wonky how that works with the extra games involved. But anyway, I’m curious to see how they handle the minutes distribution tomorrow because if you look at it now tonight, it wasn’t that wasn’t crazy. Like OG 34, Macau 37. Does Macau take a couple minutes less tomorrow against Philly? Obviously, you’re gonna keep the streak alive, but he could use a little breather. Does Captain Clutch, how much does Jaylen play on Friday against Philly? He locked 34 minutes. OG, how much does OG play? Gonna be interesting to see. And and will Hart will Towns and Mitch I think Mitch will play, but will Hart and Towns be ready for Friday. We’ll see see how that works out because those guys did have to uh dig deep for this one, man. They have they have to dig deep for it. Welcome to all of our hashtag news in the chat. All right. Let’s get to the key stats of the night, man. Key stats tonight brought to you guys by DraftKings Sportsbook. Uh both teams fairly even on the field goal side. Knicks 47%, Pacers 46. Knicks shoot 40% from downtown. 17 of 43 to 32 for the Pacers. Pacers really not a good three-point shooting team at all. Uh so the Knicks were able to uh I think that that’s partly what helped the Knicks stay close in this game. Free throw line. [laughter] I mean, was this a Vegas hangover or what? Because from the free throw line, the Knicks were absolutely putrid. 58% from the charity stripe. And Mitchie didn’t even play. Can’t blame Mitchie for this one. You You can’t play Mitch for this one. You got You guys got to clean that up, man. Because that was woeful. Uh rebounding battle. Knicks did lose 52 to 46. assists. 31 assists for the Knicks on 43 made field goals. Very efficient there for the Knicks. 31 assists to 22 for the Pacers. But this was to me, this was my key here that really made this game difficult for the Knicks. It was a sloppy play. And that’s where you ask yourself, was this a a Vegas hangover here? Because the Knicks sloppy play is really what gave the Pacers a sizable lead and and kept them in this game. Uh 16 turnovers for the Knicks led to 23 pacer points. 16 turnovers for the Knicks led to 23 pacer points. So certainly don’t want to see that, but you can kind of understand it. But that was that was my key. That was definitely my key stat of the night there. But 114 and 113 wasn’t pretty, but it was gritty. And the Knicks get number seven in a row. You know, when you’re the NBA Cup champions, now you’re the hunted. Now the Knicks are the hunted. So, they got the Pacers best shot, but a brand new cast of characters showed up, showed out, and got the W. Call me up on the KFTV Discord. Let me know how you guys are feeling. King Matthews, you uh you’re up next. Go ahead. >> Good evening, man. How you doing today? >> Doing great, man. Good to hear from you, man. Talk to me. >> Of course, man. Of course. Been doing some personal stuff, man. Shout out to Nicks winning that cup. That’s what’s up, man. Everyone on the money. But we’re looking for the bigger prize, man. The cup is cool, but I want something bigger. >> The chip. >> Okay, >> I don’t want no one running from the dang streets. We want the chip. But tonight, man, good win for the Knicks. And I got to shout out Mike Brown, man. Cuz if this was Tibs, K would not be playing like this, man. Kick would not be playing like this, man. Dude’s a star. Not like a superstar, but he’s a star, man. He’s just that guy. And OG Anobi, he should honestly get some respect for allar game. I don’t know. He’s not going to make the All-Star, but he should get some recognition. >> The man deserves it. >> Yeah, we we tal Yeah, we tal we talked about it. You know, going into this season, could OG and or Macau be potential allstars? We’ll have to see. Voting has started. So, make sure you guys put your votes in. But those guys will will be coaches selections if they make it and we’ll see what the coaches think. You know, coaches may may go may not go with the popularity contest. They may go with the guys who are truly earning it through their play. >> So, let’s see what the co let’s see what the coaches think, man. >> Yes, sir. I don’t know about Muel Bridges, though. He’s doing his thing, but I think OG’s probably get the more votes in my opinion. >> Yeah. Who do Who do you guys think in the chat, man? OG or Macau, if you had your pick, who do you think would make the Allstar team? Who would I pick? >> I don’t know. You know, I mean, Macau really play played out, balled out. I’d pick both. How about that? I’ll take that, man. He’s just having a good year. There’s no one’s really talking about it. Just like say a quiet good year for Muel Bridges. >> Yeah, >> most definitely. >> Yeah. >> And last thing before I get before I go, man, we we got to ban French players to the Knicks, man. It needs to start now. I don’t know was Yabelli Dier in the first start of the season, man. We Kick was gone. No, Dier is going to be gone, [laughter] man. Dier CP. Yeah. Who said this? >> Yeah. I think we all owe Kohic apology, man. He is just that guy. And Yabu Sadly, man. Um, it’s not just he’s bad. Well, he’s bad, but he’s just not a fit on this team, man. For a guy that dunked on LeBron James >> to a guy. >> It’s been a rough one for him, man. It’s been a rough one for him, man. >> Yeah, it’s rough for him, man. But wish him for the best. But the player that I want to trade, Senique Bay and Naji Marshall. No one’s talking about Marshall, but I would like to trade for Naji Margel. >> Good player. I hear you. >> I wouldn’t mind him. >> Yeah. But >> anyway, >> yeah, appreciate the call, man. Appreciate the call. King Matthews on the Discord. >> Yes, sir. >> Yeah. Naji Marshall be another one. Uh, we talked about Sadi Bay earlier on today’s show, but it’s, you know, especially with Sadique Bay, you get I I would have to envision I don’t see how they’re going to get some of these young guys for nothing and and what draft picks are enticing that the Knicks can offer that a team would take. Does Troy Does Troy Weaver who drafted Bay and now traded for and to the Pelicans? Is Troy Weaver ready to just let him go like that? Sadique Bay playing well, man. So that’s why I said like the Yabiselli thing is going to be tricky just in terms of yeah, you want to trade him, but what team out there is taking them without either dumping extra salary on you or taking another draft pick from you? That that’s the options. is you’re either going to have to pony up a draft pick with Yaboselli, take on extra extra years of salary, which the Knicks typically don’t do, or you go disgruntled player for disgruntled player. In my opinion, not no, you know, no news or anything. In my opinion, I think it’s it’s the third. I think it’s disgruntled player for disgruntled players how you get Yaveelli off your books. But you never know. Leon is known for pulling rabbits out of a hat. Salute to everybody in the chat once again, man. Hit the like button, hit the share button, subscribe to the channel. TM said, “Yeah, I wrote I I supposedly I had people I had people when they placed their orders, they would leave notes like, “Yo, my family watches XP TV. Don’t say my name on this show. [snorts] Don’t say my name.” So, I’m keeping my promise this year. I’m not saying no names. Only person I shouted out this year was my guy Arman Dutter, but I know that when he made his purchase today, he made it for himself or whoever he made it for. So, that’s the only person I shouted out, but I promise I ain’t naming no names. I ain’t naming no names. So, salute to everybody who’s been tapping in. All right, let me get to some more super chats that has come in. I got Rick Pennington. Shout out again, Genery 81, for gifting the franchise channel memberships. William J. Bowman. Uh, Hunter King, $5 super chat. Salute to you, Hunter. Let me let me uh get my sound bite here. [screaming] Hunter King says, “3200 says, uh, how do you feel about Hucky? I’ve been a Hucky supporter since I seen him against Brooklyn last year. You think he’s a viable backup center in our future?” Well, he has the opportunity to show that. I I like Hucky. Number one, he’s he’s a good kid. He works very hard. Very hard. like when when um when we go to summer league and and we’re closer to the action there and you can hear everything, especially in the in the smaller gym, he one thing that you need as a big man, you got to talk. You got to always be talking. That’s one thing that Hucky does. I think he runs the floor very well. Mike Brown gives him credit for having fast feet. I like the way that he plays in the pick and roll game. He rolls very well. The Knicks found him in the short roll a couple times in this game. made a couple of good passes. Slowed down and and really processed, made good decisions out there defensively. Uh how many blocks did he have tonight? One or two. He had uh Hucky had uh two two blocks tonight for for Huck. Four points, five rebounds. I thought he was solid tonight. And he gives you good energy. That’s what he needs every night if he’s going to log leg backup big man minutes. So, I I like it. What do you guys think in the chat about Huck Py? I like the minutes that he that he’s giving him. And I said, he’s he’s hungry, man. He works hard. He He’s He’s a hungry hungry kid. So, shout out to Huck Py. These guys are really taking advantage of their minutes. And he’s going to get it on those second nights of back to backs on on those first nights of back to backs when the Knicks opt to not play Mitchell Robinson. Maybe there’s going to be nights where Mitch or Cat get into foul trouble. So, these are valuable minutes here for Hucky. Definitely valuable minutes for him. But yeah, I definitely like that. Couple other interesting notes in this game. You know, shout out to our guy Shacks NBA. He’s been on this show a couple of times where we’ve done KFTV court vision and broken down film on the team offensively, defensively. And there was one game, I forgot which I think it was the Boston game where they were just getting cooked by Jaylen Brown the whole entire game and the dribble penetration they were just getting destroyed. And I talked to Shaq. I was like, you know, what’s your thoughts on on why they didn’t run more zone there? Because they did run some zone this year. They ran it in particularly uh in particular they they ran it against Miami in that NBA Cup matchup, that November 14th matchup against Miami. They ran a lot of zone. There was no Brunson in that game. They ran some zone in that one tonight. They ran the two-3 zone. Who Who notices when they ran the zone tonight? This was in the second half. And they [snorts] run the zone, the two-3 zone. And and three straight possessions. They get cooked right in the middle. Right. Right in the zone. Bust their spot. Right at the nail. Uh they went Seakum. You see Yakob dribbles into the nail, takes a jumper, then Matin two times, catches it at the nail, easy catches at the nail, right in the middle of the zone, no resistance, and Matan sinks two mid-range shots. So, you kind of see, you kind [laughter] of understand why they’re [snorts] not really going to zone too much too often because it wasn’t successful tonight at all. Pacers were picking that zone apart. So after that, Mike Brown said, “All right, let’s get back to uh man-to-man coverage here and just try to not get cooked.” Yeah. Yeah. That that zone that zone wasn’t looking too pretty tonight. Paces saw it right away and went into the middle and cooked it, but Hicks come [clears throat] out victorious 114 to 113. and CP the franchise in the building. So, it’s everybody in the chat. Let’s get to it. All right, let’s get to some more franchise channel members on the Discord. William J has been waiting for some time. William, how you doing? >> What’s up, CP? How you doing, man? >> Uh, good, man. Good to hear from you, man. >> Yeah, you too, man. Um, so the one thing I’m going to say, man, you know, we we giving everybody their flowers. We giving all the players their props, but man, Mike Brown has to get the biggest bouquet out of everybody, man. And this dude is starting to build this depth on this team and he knows we need it. He knows that. He saw it last year. He saw how OKC and the Paces went 12 deep in the in the playoffs and it helped them tremendously to get to the finals. Like he is starting to give these guys the minutes and the playing time to show what they can do. And now they’re not playing skittish. They’re not playing nervous where if they make a mistake or if they do a turnover they’re going to get yanked out of the game like Tibs did last year. He’s letting them stay in the game. He’s letting them keep playing. He’s letting them to build their confidence. And now the the stars are starting to start getting comfortable with these guys. And now it’s becoming contagious for everybody. And he’s unlocking everybody, man. OG’s on a whole another level. You know, Bridges is playing at a whole another level. You know, he’s got Brunson playing off the ball. I just think, you know, he he’s he’s getting his props, but I don’t think he’s getting the amount of props like he should be. This dude has >> Mike Brown. Mike Brown. >> Yeah. Yeah. He’s he’s had just a such a positive effect on this team and these young guys and given him the confidence to just stay in that game and keep playing that I think it’s just I think it’s just going to help this team in the long run going forward that where that depth is just going to help him when you know the stars are struggling and he leaves you know he brings the sub in and then the subs play and they play well the starters don’t have to get nervous so don’t have to worry about if they’re having an off game because he knows that these guys can hold the hold the fort down. >> Yeah, for sure. Look, I mean, he, you know, he’s he’s not afraid to mix it up. And what Mike Brown is showing us this year is that from now to the playoffs, he’s going to mix and match. He’s going to try things. He’s going to experiment because he wants to see what’s going to work here when we get to the postseason. And that’s been that’s been one of the biggest differences between him and Tibs. Not ne again not necessarily a knock on tips because I see it where especially with the Kic play and everybody you tips tips tips tips tip tips is gone man I told you Tibs is in Bali enjoying his $30 million. I’m not I’m not talking about tips no more. I’m locked in on what this iteration of the team. Thank you Tibs. We’re moving on. I slam the door on that tips thing now. >> But the Brown thing his his tendencies now the different combinations the different rotations. Who can I trust out here? he doesn’t know any of these guys. So, he’s starting with a blank slate. And I think this is this is where this team can benefit. So, good job by him. And then another another um way that he’s a stark difference to Tibs is the collaboration piece. >> Yes. >> Remember I told you guys when they were searching for the coach, collaboration was key. That is one of the reasons why they fell out with Tibs. That is one of the reasons why they fell out with Tibs is. And >> one of the other things he does too that I I I mean, look, I’ve coached basketball a lot in my life and I can tell you, man, when a coach takes a player out of the game and that player is walking to the bench and the coach stops him and talks to him face to face, one-on-one, you have no idea how much of an effect that has on a player. Tibs never did that. Tibs would just let him walk by, didn’t do nothing. Brown was Brown was always talking to these dudes, always giving them a pep talk, always telling them just keep your head up, keep going, keep going, you do your thing. And that is, man, that is a huge effect on these guys. No matter who’s who it is. It doesn’t matter if it’s one of the it doesn’t matter if it’s Bruntton all the way down. Like he just he knows how to talk to these guys and know how to keep their confidence up and keep their, you know, their, you know, intensity up and just and he knows how to hold them accountable. Like look, Bruntton even said it when they were playing in the cup game and they came out flat and he got in their butts and he said, “Hey, look, either you guys are going to play or we’re going to get blown out.” And then they came back and they started playing and he knows how to switch flip the switch, man. And that’s huge. >> Very, very, very much so. And and as I was speaking on in terms of his collaborative nature, going to the bench, going to Rick and and those guys and say, “Hey, you know, what do we think here? Hey, you got to put Josh Hart back into this rotation. You got to start Josh Hart. That’s Mike Brown listening to his coaches. >> Yes. >> And so he’s he’s not he’s not coming in this thing with an ego. This is really a collaborative effort. The players How many times have the players said, “Hey, you know, Mike Brown is approachable. Mike Brown is approachable. He listens.” Like Macau says that a lot. >> He he said he says that a lot. So, look, right now it’s paying dividends. We’re We’re in a good spot right now with Mike Brown. This is the honeymoon phase for sure, but he it’s paying dividends. And another thing, one more thing I want to say on the on the Brown factor. Appreciate the call, man. Good stuff by you. >> Yeah. >> One more thing I want to say about the Brown factor, especially with with the system. A lot of people, especially ear in the in the early beginnings where, you know, Nick’s had some ups and downs. Oh, it’s a system this system that. You got to understand that like again the read and react concepts, there are a lot of teams that are running this with the with the point being >> when you get to the playoffs >> and you’re playing a team, especially in the East, you’ve already seen that team likely three times. And if you play them in the NBA Cup, four times. They know what you want to run. you know what they want to run. So the point is, especially when it comes to read and react is unpredictability. You He’s trying to build these guys up on habits where they’re playing off each other off of instinct, shifting the defense, forcing rotations, getting your three-point looks. And then in the end, of course, in the end, in that crunch time, final minute, you going, you going, hey, you going head up. My guy versus your best guy. OKC is going to do that, right? Yeah. Yeah. They they’re going to have equal opportunity, but in the end, guess who’s getting the ball in his hands in that final minute for the Knicks? Guess who’s getting the ball in his hands for that final minute? So, that’s why you got to you got to give these guys some time. See if it works. This is how the Pacers were so good in their playoff run. Give us some time, man. I like where this thing is heading. >> The craziest thing about that that you and that’s a great point. The craziest thing about it this year though is I can tell you right now, Brunson wouldn’t be afraid to pass the ball now if somebody else had to take the shot. >> Trust. >> He trusts everybody. Like OG can make the shot. Male can make the shot. Towns can make the shot. Even one of the guys off the bench can make the shot. Like he doesn’t feel like at times he doesn’t always have to force that last shot, but he knows when he has to do it. But like it’s this this team is different. Like they all trust each other. And like you said, it’s going to start getting into where it’s going to be an autonomous possession where they’re just going to run up the court and everybody’s just going to do their thing and something’s going to happen. >> Yeah, good points, man. Good, good points. So to you, man. Rate that call in the chat. >> Appreciate it, brother. >> Appreciate it, man. Call back anytime, man. Good call. Rate that call in the chat. One being trash, five being facts. Yeah. Salute to Nick’s head coach Mike Brown, man. And uh here he is after the game. Some sound bites here from Mike Brown. Let’s hear what he had to say. T commenting on uh Tyler and the game. Here we go. >> The biggest thing even back when I first got here, you know, I I talked amongst our group. I said, “Hey, man, Tyler might have a chance at this thing, uh and and for me, the biggest thing for him was just knowing who he is.” Um, he works his tail off on everything, but he was working his tail off on shooting a three. And I just didn’t want him to lose sight. He can score. I’m telling you, he can flat out score. I didn’t want him to lose sight of that ability. Uh, because in my opinion, he could do it at a pretty high level for a young guy. And it’s not about the three-point line. If they give you the three, take it. Cuz he’s good enough and confident enough. Plus, he works at it hard enough to be able to shoot the three. And then on the flip side, I said, “You’re a small guy, you know, and I’m not comparing I’m not comparing all small white guys with each other.” When I give TJ McConnell as an example, but I I said, “Hey, look, this dude’s been in the league for 30 years, and it’s because of his toughness first, especially defensively, all right? And then his ability offensively to understand where his strengths are.” And I said, “If there’s anybody in this league that you need to take a look at, it’s him.” Because you have a you have a superpower offensively. You can score. You got a second superpower, which is you can pass. Okay? You have some quickness, too. And you got a good feel, but defensively, you got to develop a superpower for your size. And you got good feet. Now, it’s about using those and being physically tough every single possession, which is what he’s been doing. This the game the other day doesn’t count. >> You think I’m going to get in trouble for saying that? >> What’s white? God dang. [laughter] >> No, you’re I’m not everybody. >> You’re not a fan. >> I’m not a fan. >> Oh, I I shouldn’t have said it. [laughter] >> I’m not a fan. >> Oh, you’re not a fan. Oh, good. Good. And you’re white, too. So, okay. Okay. >> Oh, man. That was Mike Brown. And that’s what you got to love about Mike Brown, too. You know, you didn’t get this from Tims, man. A little levity from the coach. But but what’s so interesting is that when Tyler first came here, what was everybody saying? Everybody, it wasn’t just, you know, Mike Brown. Yeah, that was a funny moment there. But when Tyler when they first drafted Tyler, everybody was like, “Yo, he’s got to be McConnell.” Why? Because that previous year before Tyler, TJ cooked the Knicks. And after Tyler, TJ cooked the Knicks. like but he he TJ McConnell seeing TJ McConnell for two playoffs in a row. That’s what Nick Knicks fans envisioned or hoped that they would get in Tyler Kick into some degree. So he’s not that far off even though that was a funny comment. He’s not far off because let me tell you, go back to that NBA Finals. The one guy the Pacers could not I mean this Thunder could not stop in that series. Pascal Seakum won but TJ McConnell. They could not stop him at all. He was phenomenal in the playoffs last year. Killed the Knicks. If Tyler gets to that at some point that would be great. But as Mike Brown said, use your size to your advantage. Use your size to your advantage. So, let’s see, man. But as as we kind of hit that that reset here, Tyler Kick, my co-player of the game, 16 points, 11 assists, six rebounds. I didn’t even touch on the six rebounds. Six rebounds for Tyler Kick. two of four from downtown, one block, one steel. And I I I talked about the some of the key moments for Tyler Kick in this game. The Knicks down by 14 points in the third quarter. Three minutes to go. Tyler Kick comes into the game and he scored or assisted on the final 13 points in that quarter. And and I have, you know, some of the key plays here that that to Tyler that that one play he passes Mau Bridges open. Mal Bridges sets a down screen for Trey for Trey Gson and before he even dives to the basket, Tyler Kick throws a bullet into the paint and Macau Bridges catches it and scores. Next play, he finds Macau Bridges for a three. The following play he finds Trey Gson empty side pick and roll threads the needle to Trey Gon who draws the and one. Next play Col to Macau Bridges again for three. Unbelievable. Comes into the fourth quarter draws a big charge on Pascal Seakum in which is originally called a block. Mike Brown calls a challenge. They win the challenge. Good job by Jordan Brink. That was an obvious charge to me. And then he finds JSON with the Macau Bridges back screen. And then they run the same play and Tyler Kick scores on the layup. So I mean th those are just some brilliant plays for Tyler Kohic. Fourth quarter he finds Oianobi for the corner three. He had his imprint all over this game. Captain Clutch obviously sealed it, but Tyler Kohic set the tone for his team and important minutes for Tyler because with Deuce McBride, with Landry out, this is an opportunity for the Knicks to get an extended evaluation of Tyler Kolick at the backup point guard spot. Can he hold it down? Do we need to go get somebody? Major moment here for Tyler Koolic. And he’s taking advantage. He’s passing the test. Big fourth quarter minutes against a tough Spurs defense. Pacer team, not so much. But hey, he’s I I like Nebart as a defender. He had Matine guarding him at some moments. He passed the test. And so with the Knicks getting having an additional playmaker, ball handler is going to help this team tremendously. And that is what Tyler has the potential to do right now. Sharing the ball, sharing the court with Jaylen Brunson. That opens up Cap and an offball floor spacing role. Tremendous. Absolutely tremendous. So, you know, that’s a big development here as the Knicks, we’re in December now, four more months to the end of the season to the playoffs. The big moment here for Tyler Kolic. Remember on that 7 p.m. to Brooklyn episode that that we reacted to Melo talking about we need another Nard. [laughter] We need a Nard. But the point was that the Knicks needed another playmaking and scoring threat at the guard spot. And that could be where Tyler Kohlick slots in, which is going to make Mike Brown, you know, Mike Brown’s laughing now. It’s going to make Mike Brown’s job extremely difficult because when Deuce comes back and Deuce is firing and he’s locking up defensively, who knows where Shaman is going to fall into the equation or when he comes back. Then you got Cardiac Clarkson. Clarkson had 18 points tonight in this win against the Paces, five of nine from downtown. So, he’s carrying over from the NBA Cup win. Good problems to have, great problems to have and a good ending. So, let me know what you guys thought about Tyler Kohley’s game tonight. Our co-player of the game and then uh the player another player of the game is is his his co-player of the game of course is is Captain Clutch Jaylen Brunson. I mean, did anyone doubt that Jaylen Brunson was going to will his team to victory tonight? 25 points for Captain Clutch, seven assists, seven rebounds, and as he said to in in his postgame press conference with Mike and Clyde, he was buming it up in the fourth quarter. One for five, turns the ball over off his foot. And again, if if you’re watching at home like me, I’m like, “Okay, get to the next play. Get to the next play. Get to the next play.” And what does he do? He gets to the next play, which was ultimately the game winner over Andrew Nebard, his arch nemesis on the bases. And that’s what made that that game winner uh so good. That’s what made that game winner so good is that he was able to get that off on Andrew on uh Andrew Nebard. Man, I’m just rewinding it on the highlights. Well, that was the OG steel. That was okay. The Seakum free throw. And here we go. Here goes Cap as usual. Oh, no. That was a foul on Nebard. That was a foul to give. That was a foul to give that Nebard gave there. And then here we go. Kick with the inbound. Gets it to cap. Top of the key. Sheds the OG screen and gets to it. Skipped a little ahead on on uh on the uh on the highlight. Here we go again. Says OG. Nah, I don’t need that scream, man. Right elbow. Pull up. Step back. Andrew Neard. See you later. It’s Captain Clutch, man. Welcome to the Captain Klutz experience. And then the dog returns the favor and slams the door on him with an incredible steal. The best offensive player on the team, the best defensive player on the team. Good night Seakum and the Pacers. Good night Hallebertton. And there that is 114 113. It wasn’t pretty, but it was gritty. So, to everybody in the chat, once again, hit the like button, hit the share button, and subscribe to the channel. But because, man, >> you could see once he figures it out and puts it all together. There’s definitely potential there. There’s there’s big time potential there. >> Yo, he is fast. >> Yeah. Yeah. [laughter] >> Yeah. You saw him push pushing pushing the ball up. >> He’s handling the ball. He’s pushing the ball head. Running the fast break. Those were some highlights of of his game. He had he had some decent moments. >> Yes. Amazing. Hook Party did his thing, too. I like I like I like the fact that Huck Party wearing um JB’s sneakers, by the way. That’s That’s dope. I like how he like he shows respect to the cap like that. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> And also um Yeah. And then um Yeah, of course. Shout out to the captain, you know, after that push that Nehar did. He he’s very good and and as Mike and Clyde said, hey, maybe he’s got All-Star in his future. I like his game as a gritty guard, but I I just like that back and forth between him and Cap. And Cap got the last laugh. >> Got the last. >> All right. Yo, hopefully it’s going to be like um you see how Knicks have um Toronto’s number. Hopefully, it’s going to be like that for Pacers moving forward. >> Yeah. And uh and then also they got we got to trade um Yabu ASAP. >> Yu got to go. Pakome gota go. We look I don’t care if we get nothing for them. They got to go. I’m done. >> Yeah. It’s it’s it’s been a tough go for him, man. >> It’s been an absolute tough go for him. But you know, >> it is what it is. I mean team’s winning. He’s not really in a spot where they need him to be productive, but it would help. You know, any any little any little thing will help, man. Yeah, I think the lights a little bit too bright for him, but hopefully hopefully before trade deadline, he starts going crazy and then we’ll see what we can do with him. But >> so far it’s not looking too good. >> Yeah, man. >> But yeah, just want to be rapid fire. Um just want to let everyone know make sure you cop your um your KFTV merch. I’m [laughter] appreciate the call. >> All right. Salute, man. Thank you. >> Edwin P on the Discord. Yeah. Look, it was it was a viral thing. I I tend to, you know, go away from them type of things. But hey, whatever you’re into, you’re into, man. It is what it is. It is what it is. Shout out to Edwin P though, man. He he uh he made us a dope video. It is once a Nick, always a Nick gear. We just want to make sure we maintain good good audio quality for the show because remember this is also available in audio podcast format. So, we want to just make sure that uh the audio is is is consistent. So, we’ll just call back try to try to get to a more stable connection. He’s calling all the way from India. Great caller calling all the way from India. So, sometimes, you know, the connection can be a little bit staticky. Okay, but salute everybody in the chat, man. We got 2,200 people on the checkin. We appreciate everybody for tapping in. Uh let’s see. We got a super chat in here. I think it got tomatoes from the from the audience. Let me read this. I didn’t get a chance to read this fully. And this super chat is from Shiva Jones 108. $10 super chat says Mike Brown needs to relax with the jokes. No praise for him until he gets us to the finals. Macau’s been on thin ice since he got traded. Talks too much about coaches. Plays well when we need you. Play well when we need you most. Okay. Well, people at home, you know, just like the calls, you know, rate that super chat and from one being trash, five being facts. The guy spent he spent $10 to get his point across. What do you guys think? I think he was being a little too hard on these guys. the Mike Brown thing, my man. They’re 19 and seven. They won seven in a row. NBA Cup champions, you know, give the guy a little grace. Of course, we know when it’s all said and done, he’s got to deliver money time. He’s got to get us to the finals. That time will come. That time will come. Enjoy the 82 game ride. Enjoy the journey, my guy. That’s all I’ll say. Just enjoy the journey. April comes, that’s a whole another season. Let’s cross that bridge when we get there. But can we enjoy the journey? Can we enjoy Tyler cooking cap in the clutch? OG, I didn’t even I didn’t even go into Macau. And you know, I appreciate you, my guy, for for reminding me because I didn’t even get into Macau Bridges tonight. My KFTV role player of the game. Shout out to Mau Bridges, man. 22 points, eight rebounds, five assists, nine of 19 from the field, four of n uh from downtown. I thought Macau Bridges was great tonight and doing the little things, showing up the details, the screens, the back screens, freeing up Jes Bridges came up really big for this team. He’s my role play of the game. He He got it gritty, man. He did a lot of dirty work for this team tonight. So, you know, and and you know, you’re saying come up big when we need you, my man. Did you watch Knicks Celtics games one and two? Do the Knicks win that series when now Mal Bridg is sealing it twice? I’ll respectfully disagree, but I appreciate the super chat, you know, but I will respectfully disagree. You guys in the chat, let me know what you think. I think that Cal Bridges is having an amazing year. He’s been solid through and through. And so, yeah, you know, pop the pop the brakes in the uh on the criticism here. My guy, they’re 19 and seven. I you know I what I I I don’t have much to complain about with this team. They’re playing well and all things considered they they’re trying to figure it out with this coach. But I appreciate it. I appreciate it. Salute to Lucky Lucas. Lucky Lucas. Yeah, this was a good one from Breen. When I heard it, I said I that was a good one, Breen. You know, Breen’s another guy. He he he he gave us Brunson Barrage. He’s given us a lot of nicknames over over the years. He uh Col Chaos. What do we think about that nickname there? The Coic Chaos. I thought that was cool, man. And welld deserved. Make sure uh shout out to Rudy Tay 83. Rudy, I see you. How you feeling? Oh, cool. Vids man is in here. That’s our guy. >> Shout out to Cool Vids, man. He says, “We finally have our own annoying I guess he says white boy. Annoying white boy.” His name from now on is Kodak Kick. Go New York. Go New York. Go. Hey, whatever he looks like, as long as he’s a dog and he’s balling and that’s what Kick is doing, man. So, if you happy, I’m happy, man. Shout out to our guy Melo Mike. He says, uh, fight our super chat. says, “I saw this last year at Westchester with Coley Tib stunted his growth, sitting him down. I’m glad he’s showing everyone what he’s got. Huck next year to shine.” Shout out Melo Mike. He is a Westchester Knicks season ticket holder. So, when he says he knows in Westchester, he’s out there. He’s He’s definitely out there. The one thing I would avoid is is making those Westchester to main roster comparisons because, as you see, it’s you can’t really go apples to apples there. Westchester is a whole whole another beast. It’s different. The competition is just not the same is what I want to say. Not a whole another beast. The competition just isn’t the same. Call me up on the KFTV Discord. Let’s talk about it. 11413 KFTV cooking. How many subs do we have here, man? How many subs do we have here? We got two thou 2,200 people watching right now. Number one show for the fans by the fans. I’m trying to get to 100K right now. Can we get there? Can we get there? Ladies and gentlemen, talk to me. Nicks Nation, you guys watching at home? Oh, we’re we’re at 993. I said we’re at 996. We’re at 993. All we need is 700. 700 people at home. If you’re watching on your phone, most likely a lot of our viewers are. If you’re watching on your TV, hit that subscribe button. Hit If you’re watching on your your computer, hit that subscribe button. It’s free to do so. We’re trying to get to 1,000 subscribers tonight. I just pulled up the uh the image here. Trey Gon gets his first defensive player of the game. Welld deserved. Well deserved by Trey Gon. Clap it up for him. I you know I I really these are the type of players that I like. Those those dogs, the gritty players. He plays like a Nick. You know what I mean? He plays like a Nick. And as I said, I don’t remember him getting logging meaningful minutes like this outside of opening night. But nevertheless, he stood ready. I really like Trey Json’s minutes tonight, man. He he played like a dog. And there he is. There’s uh there’s Macau Bridges. Macau’s role. He he he’s here to present the def defensive player of the game. That’s Macau’s role. Now Cap wasn’t hiding out on this one. Cap usually hides out somewhere. Captain Clutch, but Cap was out in the open. There’s Tyler, our two players of the game back there. There’s Deuce in the back. Cat Cardiac Clarkson in the background. Kevin McCull’s the new addition to the group. There’s Diwara. So like, so Dawara and and Macau, they typically have their spots. Now Shamat in the past, he’s kind of been on the left hand side in the locker room, but now they’re on the road. So I don’t know, maybe he got a little bit mashed up there. But overall, you got to like the camaraderie in the locker room. And uh congratulations to Jesman. I think Breen said uh five teams in six years or four teams in five years, whatever the case may be. So he’s trying to make it, man. He’s trying to survive. He had a good week. He got 500 bands just two days ago. An extra 500 bands. And then he gets the eight. And then he gets the Tims to boot. So he gets to go home tomorrow with 500,000 and a pair of Tims. Who’s having a better week than Trey Jmerson? You know what I mean? And it was so funny, man. You know, so you got some of the haters, man. Oh, they’re 500,000. They’re going to be taxed. Everybody becomes an accountant counting these guys money, you know, knocking the NBA Cup accomplishment of them winning the money. Who cares? Get your hand out of these guys’ pockets. Why do I care how much they getting taxed or what they doing with the money, man? They got they earned it. How many of us can say I made 500 bands in one game, one game, one night? You know, you got the NBA Cup accountants out here like, “Oh, what are you talking about, man? [laughter] We got to pick and choose our battles, people. Come on, man. Knock it off, man. Utterly ridiculous. I I couldn’t care less what what they got, what they doing with it. It’s not my money. You do what you do. Handle your handles, man. [laughter] I saw a couple of those comments over the past couple of days. I’m like, “Yo, what? What? [laughter] Oh, it’s going to get taxed. Who cares about the money?” Okay. Oh, man. You got to have a laugh. Anyway, let me get to some more Supers chats to everybody in the chat, man. We We had a couple of road warriors at this game, man. A couple of Nick fans. We had a Nick fan call in yesterday. said he was going to be at the game and uh my guy Jason Woke was at the game as well. So, shout out my guy. Sent some good footage. I’m going post some more on the KFTV Instagram. Let’s salute some more super chats for sure. Here we go. Shout out to Lucky Lucas. Oh, I got Lucky Lucas. Salute to you anyway. Shout out to Puka Circle podcast. $5 super chat. And I I’m I’m going to start reading these things kind of slow because between some of the the the user YouTube usernames, some of the super chats, you know, you can get crossed up. You can you can pull a foot trick. So, I got to slow down. I’m getting older. This is like CP said, we have to enjoy the journey and just be happy where we are today. Nick’s biggest problem is who is going to play when everyone is healthy. Yeah, good problem to have. I talked about it with Kohic, you know, when Deuce comes back, but like but but but with the Kohic thing, it just it it gives affords the Knicks the luxury to allow Deuce to get healthy fully. Maybe it allows them to not have to play cap so many minutes on some nights. There’s so many benefits for Tyler being able to handle these big minutes. So far so good. Oh, there he is. Man, I you know, I I spoke this guy’s name into existence and he showed up and delivered. [screaming] >> We got a $50 super chat from my guy Jason Woke, famed producer Spears and Arrows. And if you guys have been seeing some of these NBA commercials for American Express, the NBA Cup commercial where Cat is jumping out the the the storefront window. My guy Jason Woke shot that. He’s one of ours, man. He’s a diehard Nick fan. And when I say die hard, he travels. He’s a road warrior. He goes to road games. I’ve gone to a game with him at Madison Square Garden. I’ve been to uh I think game two, other playoff game. I think it was game two, I believe. We were there. we and and randomly sitting like a couple rows away from each other. Standup guy uh he sends a $50 super chat right on time says loved attending the game in Indie tonight. It was an opportunity for others to get some minutes and some delivered. Poor Yabiselli couldn’t get it up. He says really impressed and looked comfortable. Can we now officially say TJ who so Jay’s throw the TJ McConnell comparison out there? Hey, two games. two games. But Tyler, you can see the the maturity in his game, man. Tyler Tyler, he’s coming. He’s definitely coming, man. And this is a different Tyler Kick than who we saw last year. And as Captain Clutch said, he’s working on his game and it’s paying off. So, salute to my guy Jason Moog. Puka Circle podcast joins the franchise channel members. Puker Circle, we appreciate you. Absolutely. Okay, let me make sure I didn’t miss any more super chats. Puka Circle King Matthews one-year franchise channel member. And he’s been with us for a long time on this ride. A lot of you guys been with us for a long time. whether you guys make your presence known in the chat or you make your presence known at the watch parties. And that’s why it’s so interesting because like the chat, we have our regulars, right? We have our Tentos, the TMs, the Shells. I don’t want to just go into the individual names because there’s so many people that are here every single night. Chuck D and JJ from Brooklyn. There’s so many people in here every single night. Uh but then you’ll go outside of the digital world. You go into the real world, you go to the watch party and you have watch party regulars like Melo Mike. And then you’ll have then you’ll have other watch party people who come in and say, “Man, I’ve been with you from the beginning.” And you don’t even know who they are, what their name is on the YouTube, but hey, I’m with you from the beginning, man. Great stuff. So, it it’s all uh part of the community. It’s all part of the community, man. Super super blessed to have this platform and uh super blessed to talk about this team that we love. Man, it’s a lot of fun to do this especially when they’re winning. Winning winning cures all but as you guys know, hey, we put in work for this 17 and 65. We was going live right TM every night. We didn’t miss it. So, it’s got to come back around. laws of the universe, balance, 17 and 65. And and not only that, it was 17 and 65 with a lot of moaning and groaning and crying from Ari from Manhattan. Just kidding. Shout out to Ari, man. Big time friend of the program. But imagine that. 65 losses having to hear Ari cry every night. [laughter] >> [laughter] [gasps] >> You know, you don’t get paid enough. It’s like therapy, man. So, these are the good times, man. It’s got to come back around. But salute to everybody in the chat, though, man. Good stuff and having a lot of fun doing this. As I said, Omega Rex73, $20 super chat to CP. KFTV has been a lifeline. Yo, first season with our beloved newborn, so miss Mad Games, but this thing of ours here has been sturdy. The Yaboo move should be sure. He said, “The Yaboo move should shore us up for Detroit. We’re on schedule. Let’s go straight like that.” Well, shout out to Omega X. Listen, man. Uh, you know, for good reason. you are missing the time. And for those of us that have been fortunate enough to be fathers, mothers, parents, whether it’s through birth, through adoption, through mentorship, whatever it is, uh it’s a blessing. It’s a blessing to to raise up the next generation. It’s a blessing to raise up the youth, man. And and um you know, I I’m I’m in the same boat with you, man. I was doing it while I was building this up and and it’s a joy, you know. Now I’m at the point where me and little man, we’re watching the games now together before I put him to sleep. We’re watching the games and he he’s able to articulate what’s going on and and who’s doing what and who’s trending which way. And then he’s on YouTube. He’s tapping in. Then he told me today he went he went to school today and he told his one of his teachers, he goes, “My dad’s got 99 million subscribers. What’s good?” So he’s like, “Everybody everybody’s supportive, man. It’s a family show for sure.” Yeah, little man told his teacher we got 99 million subscribers. So, we got a lot of work to do. We We got a lot of work to do, man. Oh, here’s another guy, Mr. William in the building. Salute to you. He says, “Been here since 2K and we be here to 2 mill.” Yep. Absolutely, Mr. William. Salute to you. Salute to Mr. William, man. He He’s definitely been with us for quite some time. TM says the 18game losing streak. TM, we got to go into the archives on that 18game losing streak and maybe put together a reel of [laughter] of reactions. That might be some good content. We got to go back and check that out. Yeah. Some some really good time, man. Like we Yeah, it’s uh the compilation over the years, man. I mean, the archives is crazy. How many how many how much content have we produced on on this show, man? through the archives. It’s extensive. It It really is. I got to get this box off my face. The light is bright as hell. Um, shout out to John Shin, another guy, franchise channel member coming in here. John, salute, man. I was bigging up uh your your your restaurant to somebody, a friend of mine, and we might pop in. We might pop in. So, I I think I’m bringing some friends over to the sushi spot. Sushi Tazawa. I want I don’t want to I want to make sure I’m pronouncing it correctly, but John Shin super chat uh says 100K followers is too low. You deserve it. CP Col has been balling. Think Yabu diara Washington second round picks are going to get traded for who? I don’t know that that’s a pretty scrappy trade package. If Leon is able to package that up. Hey, building the statue. Building the statue. It’s hard to hard It’s hard to predict who you can get on the margins, man. It’s really hard to predict, you know. But shout out shout out to John Shin. And and hey, whe whether it’s too much, too little, I think the overall thought, like I said a couple days ago with the 100K thing, it’s more of a it’s more of a vanity metric, especially in this day and age of content creation where like YouTube, like Instagram, people aren’t really following that much because the algorithm is going to show you what you like anyway. You know what I mean? I’m just keep it a bean. Even even like if I think about my consumption habits on YouTube, I don’t a lot of channels I don’t even know if I subscribe, but there’s certain content that I watch all the time. So the algorithm shows me that content. So if you’re in here watching Postgame Live, if you’re in here watching Nick’s Weekly or one of our clips, algorithm is just going to keep bringing you back here. But the subscriber thing will be great. We want the plaque. We we would like the the accomplishment for sure. But overall, you know, we the algorithm is going to put us out there uh because we are the number one Knicks podcast and the number one Knicks platform out there covering the team and so the algorithm is going to push it. We’ve been doing it for 9 years, so the algorithm knows that this is a a trusted source for content. So, it’s great. And also, it it’s just uh it’s just to say, listen, man, everybody run your race. Run your race. your own way. Everybody’s journey is different. Some people might have Hey, you might have content creators uh you know with a with a million subscribers but can’t don’t have community on the back end. That is what we do differently than everybody else. Our community building is strong whether it’s in real life or on social media. That’s the most important thing for me. The 100K is great but it’s the community man. it there there’s no bigger impact than what we’re doing as a community. We have Knicks fans uh developing friendships, going traveling to games, the Road Warrior events, all of that. Like though that stuff to me means much more means much more much more valuable in life. You know what I mean? That that’s the part that that means the most rather than the number. The number’s cool. It’s great, but it it’s really the community on the back end. That’s the foundation of what we do. content on the front end, community on the back end, and that is my TED talk. Thank you for attending. Okay, we got some more coming in. My guy Abdul from San Diego tapping in. Shout out to Abdul. $10 super chat. He says, “Solute, fam.” Hey, 100K. Let’s go. Shout out to Abdul from San Diego. We definitely appreciate you, bro. Okay. All right. Let’s get to some more goals and then we’ll wrap up for the night. We’ll get to the members lounge. Let’s get to Let’s get my guy STG. STG, how you feel, man? >> Man, I’m feeling good. You know, we won the cup the other night. Yes. >> Um, now we win this tonight. Um, in a game where, you know, I thought, you know, they would have let go of the rope a little bit. Um, they had all the excuses in the world, but I really thought they gritted it out for the first time, I would say, this year. I would say this is up there with one of their better wins of the season. Not really because of the opponent, but I really thought the grit and the um togetherness and the closeness that they showed. Um, it reminded me a little bit of the 23 24 team a little bit when they went down with all those injuries and how they just fought and scrapped every night. Um, one thing though I just wanted to say, shout out to Tyler Kulick. He looked good. But I hate when people come on here and they’re like, you know, Tibs held him back. Tibs held him back. And I think you might have said it the other day. Well, it’s like he also improved and got better. Like Deuce McBride in his first season didn’t play a ton, but he progressively got better and he played more. They can’t really say. Last year we we still had title hopes and title contention aspirations. Like yeah, he got better this year. Like it I wouldn’t really say it was Tib holding him back last year. He worked on his game and he got the opportunity this year. He got the opportunity last year too when Brunson went down in March with the ankle. So it’s like I wouldn’t say Tib was holding him back. So that’s just one thing I wanted to say cuz that’s a common thing I always hear. Um but yeah, >> I I think it’s just it’s just human nature to always want to compare, you know, especially when a new thing comes in. But I’m with you. Like I, you know, Tibs did his thing. This is now Mike Brown’s thing. But this is why the players go go and work out in the offseason. This is what they train for in the offseason to get better, to work on their game. And Tyler’s a different player, man. He’s he’s a way different player and and he’s reaping the benefits of his hard work right now. >> Yeah, definitely. For sure. And then tomorrow, I didn’t get a chance to call in the last few days um during the lunchtime show, but I was a hashtag replay gang for those ones. But I did want to say I’m interested to see what they do tomorrow pregame and whatnot. Little festivities they’re going to do to celebrate the cup because I know they saw they’re not raising the banner, which I do agree with that. I think it’s kind of a good idea not to raise it, but I’m interested to see. I heard they’re still going to be doing some celebrations, so interested to see kind of like what they do. Maybe like a pregame acknowledgement or something like that. >> Yeah. Well, listen, man. Once it all goes down, we will be relying on you to uh call in as usual with the stadium report. Give us your thoughts and give us your reaction to it. Sounds good. We’ll do. See you tomorrow. >> STG Nick, always appreciate you, man. STG Nick on the Discord. All right, loading some more up on the channel member side. And then I got to get some sleep, man. [laughter] All right, so let’s get to some guys here. The Glockers in here. We’re going to close with him. Let’s get to Ashwin again. Ashwin, go ahead and unmute your mic. Ashwin. Ashwin going once. [cough and clears throat] Ashwin going twice. >> Okay, I’m here. Am I audible? >> Yes. Gotcha. Got you. Go ahead. >> Okay. Uh so I’ll be rapid fire. Uh like in the beginning of the season when everyone was ready to sip co I said that uh as a fellow PG the thing that Kle has the uh the sense of passing you can train for 100 100 years and you can’t get that. It is a it is a thing that you are only gifted with and it has finally come to uh fruition. The but the main point what I wanted to say since the final games the thing is when we look ahead into the future we have two players to pay one is Mitch one is Duce. The thing is what Mitch brings not a single player in the whole NBA can bring that the offense ability to get the offensive rebound ability to uh make you ability for your team to have like extra 10 15 possessions that’s an incredible thing and no other player can bring that so we have to pay image there is no second opinion that’s that leaves us with dues and you know see how much I love dues but thing is what dues does Sammit can give 90% of that at a very low price and we don’t have to pay summit that and if in any way we could keep Duce I would love to keep him but this is a question that we have to ask if is Glex stepping up as a pure PG and being such aggressive playing fairly decent defense and bringing an incredible playmaking ability the backup point guard position that is extremely necessary in playoffs when Brunson goes to bench. What is the future with that? When we have to when time comes to pay both Mitch and who what should we do? Uh I said what I think you know where I’m going. I would love to hear your opinion and I was I also wish Alex and JD were here here so that I could hear their opinion too. But I want to hear what you have to say about that. >> Yeah. Well, with the Mitch situation, I mean, until they’re able to draft his replacement, I don’t think he can be replaced. I re I just really don’t. >> People disagree. >> He can’t be replaced. That’s out of the question. >> Yeah. I just I I just don’t see him being an expendable player unless you can either trade for or draft his replacement. We talked about >> We have to pay Mitch. >> Yeah. >> And we have to pay dues. Yeah. >> But we can’t pay both. >> Got Yep. Absolutely, man. Absolutely. and uh and appreciate the call. But yeah, you you might not be able to pay both, especially the fact that they’re creeping up on the second apron, but to me, what Mitch does, he’s if you want to say Steven Adams, okay, I’ll give you Stephen. Mitchell Robinson is the next best offensive rebounder in the league. Why did Mike Brown go and consult with these coaches from New Zealand on offensive rebounding concepts to only lose his best offensive rebounder and one at who’s offensive rebounding at a historic rate getting extra this this game is a possession game. Forget the injuries. Name me the guy who you can bring in here healthy or not that can do that. That That’s tough, man. Don’t sleep on Mitchie. The deuce thing is interesting, too, because like, you know, he gives you a, you know, solid 3 and D player, young player, cheap contract. It’s going to be interesting decisions to make, man. Everybody can come along for the ride. So, we’ll see, man. Deuce deserves a Deuce deserves a payday. What Mitch’s payday will be? Well, time will tell, but Duke certainly deserves one as well. Louise Vasquez has been here before. CP had grays in the beard. Yo, bro, I’m fighting. Oh my lord. You know, I I I turned 41 in September. I mean, I think the 18 and 65 season really [laughter] really set the tone there. But man, I’m finding great hairs in the eyebrows, in the hairs, you know, I’m still spinning. We still wavy over here. And thank God I still got everything here. Knock on wood, you know. Knock on wood. I still got everything up here. So, hey, I can’t complain about anything to be honest with you, man. To be honest with you, I really can’t. No just for men needed just yet, but when I do, I’ll call Clyde. But yeah, man. Every time I look at a bear, I’m fighting some more silver going on in there. Oh, man. But yeah, now life is good. God is good, man. And appreciate the blessings. Funny comment though, Luis. Very funny comment because I was literally just thinking about that today. But yeah, that’s life, man. That that that is life. So, you know, kind of dreading that day, but it is what it is, man. Just Just got to age like fine wine. It is what it is, man. Okay. All right. Couple more and then I got to crash. Uh Terren Cox, unmute your mic. Rapid fire, please. Rapid fire. Let’s go. >> Yo, CPCP, >> how you doing? >> You want to win? Let Booby in. You want to win, let Booby in. Tyler Koh, man. What What can you say about this kid, man? >> Kill it. >> I just got a a little push back. >> Yeah. >> On you on this idea that um Kick didn’t have this in him last year. >> Yeah. >> I feel like even last year he didn’t really get the chance to show that he played three minutes, five minutes then DMPS. So like you can’t really see if he had it or not. But we saw flashes of it. We saw flashes of it. And now he getting consistent minutes so he could really show he could make those mistakes and know he’s not going to get pulled out. >> Well, you got to also remember he was a rookie last year. You got to remember he’s a rookie last year >> and he play he played when when Cap injured his ankle in March. Kix he played he started in some games at the point he played. >> No, he did. But remember who was running the team? Um uh Tibs put Don Wright to run the team. So, um, the long was running the show for the most part. >> Okay. >> But yeah, regardless of that, like this kid is this kid is good, man. Um, I just want to point out that play, they brought it up after the show on MSG, but at the 7:30 mark in the fourth quarter, Kick is bringing up the ball and he’s talking to Bridges and he’s breaking down a play that they should run and they immediately score on that play. he get the assist. Like that’s like that’s what we needed as a backup point guard. He don’t got to drop 30 every game. He just got to be able to when he’s in make a difference. And you see the difference like with people like Hucky and Mitch, he’ll get alleys to them because he’s looking to pass off the off the screens. Brunson, if you watch the game, when Brunson gets a screen, he’s trying to play around with his defender. So that’s why he misses some of those alleys for Mitch, but Ki sees those. And um yeah, I I meant to mention to you cuz y’all been talking about Jose Alvarado. >> Um funny enough, my sister-in-law, that’s her nephew. >> Okay. >> And so I I I don’t I I like him. >> Yeah. >> I don’t think he’ll be a good fit for us. I don’t think he’s what we need, but I do like him. He’s scrappy. >> Okay, >> but yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> All right, man. Appreciate the call, man. Terren Cox on the Discord. Way too, you up next. Way too Mel rapid fire. Let’s go. >> What up, CP? >> How you doing, man? >> I’m chilling. I just want I ain’t going to lie, I got to confront you a little bit, CP. And I was fan TV all last year. >> Sure. >> I called in a hundred times last year about >> first of all, Mitchell Robinson because he’s the best offensive rebounder in the game. >> It’s not even close. Mhm. >> And I said a million times that we we wasn’t going to know what this team was until we got him back. >> Mhm. >> But and I was Sips fan all last year. >> I was. >> But Tyler, am I mistaken? Didn’t Tyler Kick sign a better contract as a rookie because he played like three years in Marquette? Didn’t he play three or four years? >> Uh yeah, he did. [clears throat] >> He play he played all Yeah, he Yeah, >> he he played all four years in college. Mhm. >> And the reason we signed him to a bigger rookie contract is because the assumption was that he would be able to run a not I’m not saying he’s going to be the best player, but there’s no reason he can’t beat TJ McConnell. You look at them side by side, they’re the same they’re the same stature and build. >> Yeah. >> So there’s no reason he can’t beat TJ McConnell, >> but he played four years in college. >> And so when we signed him to that bigger rookie contract, it was because he could play and he could play immediately. And I’m sorry. I think today was the biggest indictment on Tib. I I love Tibs, too. And I still think the play the team plays with a lot of the same principles that Tibs has. And I appreciate his dedication to the game. I think that’s what makes him a good coach. >> But we went we went into the into the bag today, CP. Deep into the bag today. >> All right. They gave what’s his name? The defensive player of the game because he deserved it today. And I don’t remember seeing him play once. That guy, I don’t know his name right now to be honest with you. >> J. G. Jes >> he played well today >> and the wire I mean he he he make me want to punch walls today I’m watching him play it was killing me. >> Yeah. But he played and you know I’m just gonna say you know I like Tibs a lot >> and if he wants to be the coach in the NBA today you cannot play guys 40 42 minutes >> and you know it’s I think that today’s game was the biggest indictment on his philosophy of bringing in and out of being players in and out. >> Okay. >> And only last thing I’m going to say was real quick. There’s no reason we shouldn’t have hung the banner. If the Lakers hung a banner after winning a championship, the NBA Cup championship. >> Yeah. >> There’s no way the Knicks are too good to hang a banner, but the Lakers are. And I love this Knicks team. I’ve been watching forever. We should have hung a banner. One, I don’t know who it was that said it. Somebody uh on KFTV said it. We should have hung a banner that we update. If we win again, you update it with the year. You don’t hang a banner every year. It’s not a championship, but we could have won. We could have hung one banner that had the year on it small and if we win again every year we won we could have put another year. There’s no reason not to. It doesn’t make sense. I think and you look at you look at Tyler Kolic. I think this if he has any growth now it’s going to be because of the NBA cup because it was meaningful basketball against a good team. He got to have he got to play what felt like a championship. You know what I mean? you see the confidence that he gained from a middle of the season what people are trying to belittle >> but I’m you know I know you got to go to bed so >> I just wanted to tell you that you know >> Tims was wrong for not playing Tyler Koh more last year >> and we should have hung a banner so >> okay >> you have a good night call again I don’t want to call too early so I’ll try to call more have a good night CP >> appreciate it man definitely appreciate it uh appreciate the call rate that call in the chat you agree with him or disagree One being trash, five being facts. I I think you know Tib’s tenure here, everybody has tried to call him out. He doesn’t know what he has and this that and the third. I’ve always disagree with that. Look at what Deuce is doing now. Deuce came into this team shooting 25% from downtown. Why do y’all think players go out there and work on their games? I don’t understand why we always think NBA coaches. Look, I’m not saying everybody’s perfect, but the idea that like these guys don’t evaluate talent well at the NBA level, IQ got paid. Deuce’s game. R.J. got paid. IHeart got paid. Grimes started early in his career. Tim started Grimes. So like y’all act like y’all don’t know this history, man. Y’all are talking to somebody that has covered every single game of this team since I was eight years old. Yo, remember quitting crime started, didn’t you? Come on, man. TYLER GOT MINUTES when Cap went down. Washington Wizards 18 minutes. That was his first game of of significant minutes. Four points, eight assists. Next night, two points, nine assists against the Dallas Mavericks. Next night, no points, seven assists against the Los Angeles Clippers. Next night, five and five against at Milwaukee. Five and five. Next night, no points, three assists against Portland. Next night, seven points, seven assists, a steal, a block against Philly. 20 minutes starting in that Washington game, 18, 19, 18, 17, 13, 20, 14 minutes when Cap went down. Come on, man. History does not does not support your takes on the whole Tibs indictment. This is not the same player as last year. We w we all watch these games together. He got bigger. He was not defending like this last year. Like come on, man. Let’s keep it a bean. He was not defending like this last year. Come on gang. Grime started because of injury. Started six games in the playoffs in the 22 23 season for the New York Knicks. That was the year they lost to Miami after they gentleman swept the Cleveland Cavaliers. Come on, man. And like LIKE LIKE LET’S JUST ENJOY WHAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW. Tibs is in Bali enjoying his $30 million. What does it matter? But like I said, the whole he didn’t know what he had type of thing, it doesn’t support. When Deuce was out there getting busy, guess who was getting playing time under Tibs? Deuce, you got to earn it. All right, man. Cody Glock, man. Close this out, man. Close this out, man. >> No sin, man. You can hear me loud and clear. >> Let’s go. Yep. Let’s go. >> I’m in the I’m in the Iron Horse. Just got off the iron horse. >> Pardon it. Pardon me. Art it. Right on. I let the TIPS THING GO. TIPS FAN TV IS LONG GONE. Y’ALL BROUGHT ME BACK. Y’ALL WANT TO RESURRECT THEM? Go ahead, Cody Glock. You have the mic, sir. >> No, it’s all good, bro. Like, Tibs was my second favorite coach next to Mike Woodson. Like, I would never slander Tips. He got us to where we are now. If he had to play them, he played them. They just Tyler Cole goes off this game and they just, oh, would have, could have, should have cuz you know, we lost. But it is what it is. Yo, um, shout out Manscape, man. I have zero turnovers because that man skate my take care of my ball. Whatever. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um so the bat symbol went out. I couldn’t call in when we won the cup. Shout out big Jeff dog. He threw the bat symbol out. >> But that night was the first time I had to care about work and I was hot. >> So this time I’m supposed to be at work right now. F work. M >> this L listen so this is when I got the time to get my itch off. Frankly I don’t care about anything that happened today more than I care about this. Let me tell you something about Mitchi. Silly Ping. You see Mitchi chat? Yo, y’all see Mitchi? I don’t care if he ain’t he ain’t play today. He turned WBY into sule in the fourth quarter. 10 offensive rebounds. Trade what? Clutch steal with the offensive board when the game is in balance. Trade what? >> Let’s go. >> Dunked on Webby off a offensive rebound. Trade what? We got a top five center coming off the bench. I don’t care if he can’t shoot free throws. I don’t care if he’s on load match. We on low measurement. We getting Super Mitchie on low measurement. Trade your trade your girl. Trade your best friend. Trade what? We notic your a life up. >> Yeah, >> you heard what I said. >> Anger m anger management. >> Yo. Okay, so back to the game, right? >> Yeah. >> I was watching and I was complaining as usual. Why the nicks can’t beat the Pacers? Why does Nemhod always kill us, man? Why? Why we can’t hold Sei for nothing? Why we can’t hold Benny Zo? And I was frustrated. I was I was angry. And when I get angry, I get tired. So, but before I fell asleep during the game, right? >> I seen Tyler Kohic playing the best offense I ever seen him play, setting the table for everyone. And I seen OG and Clarkson getting to a bucket. Shout out Dawara, too. And shout out Jameson. DP I mean DPG. Shout out Jameson. Right. >> Yeah. >> So, I like what I saw and I fell asleep. I fell asleep and I think we were down eight in the third when I fell asleep. But silly ping when [snorts] I woke up it was 111 to 111. 111 to 111. Nemhard scored and when I looked at the clock I knew Jaylen Brunson was going to hit the game winner. >> Yeah, >> that’s big. That’s big pun. That’s the burner. [laughter] >> That’s Captain >> the burner. You feel me? >> That’s CP right there. You You see, let me tell you something about Pun, right? You see Pun, if you think you’re going to give him the paces on any given night, you think he’s going to take a rest, >> you think he cares about anybody you give him on the roster to run with that night? >> Cap is ready to cook. >> He He He could have been playing with Dink Payton in them down in in Westchester tonight. >> [laughter] >> He was going to find a way to win. >> This no matter what this game, he was going to find a way to win. >> But losing tonight would have burnt him more than losing Tuesday in my opinion. >> He wasn’t letting that go down for the culture tonight. Last thing, right? Cuz I know you tired. Last thing, right? >> And I heard you stop another caller when he went on his Yu red. You not about to stop me. Yoo, you suck. Tune in to Nicks Fan TV tonight and after you get traded because you need to hear this. We have four mill in the pot. We could have went for a multitude of people. We chose you. You fat. You get by everybody. You go. Your jump shot is broke. You’re like the guy you y’all were like the guy at the scythe who didn’t come with anything but his lungs. No pes, no grabber, no flower, just French lungs. Like there’s no way you a part of once a nick, always a nick. >> You You had to hit a certain threshold for that. And you didn’t even sniff the threshold yet. The only way you valid back in the towns, >> the only way you validated back in the towns, like CP said, you got to come with Frank. If Frank say you good, we not we not going to turn Frank down. You feel me? Like Frank good in the towns. Your name is Yavu selling. >> Ever since you came, you’ve been selling es cargo off Broadway in Pen Plaza by the you know the courthouse. You you be seeing people sitting down in the courthouse by by MSG that you one of them getting [laughter] popping the Nathan Franks you the Gizzy before pack. Yo pack them up. Shout out Ricky Pipes man. Shout out Cthrows. Shout out Dal Linko. Shout out Buff Bagwell. Yo shout out Doug Lush. >> Shout out Melo Mike. I see you, Mizy. Yo, Melo Mike, I see you, Mizy. Salute. Yo, shout out Chuck D the god master ceremonies. Yo, Clump Chump Champs. Yo yo yo, [snorts] one more shout out. Shout out my boy um >> n shout out replay gang. Yo, replay gang take it too far to the gang. >> You got TM got to be somewhere. Yo, cuz replay gang they go crazy. I’m out, man. I’m too much talking, man. Yo, and I told you we was going to go on a 10 game winning streak. Count in the cup. What’s the streak now? >> Seven. >> Seven. Then Cody Glock on the Discord. Rate that call in the chat. One being trash, five being facts. >> He said, uh, Yaselli was selling snails. Selling snails, man. Absolutely. Absolutely, man. Hey, great show. Salute to all the mods. Salute to all the callers, man. Absolutely great show. Hey. Yeah. Yeah. Listen, man. You can call me out. Go. Anybody you want to call me out? You always open opportunity, man. How does Emanuel Quickley finish second in the six man of the year race if he’s not getting burnt? How much minutes did Emanuel Quickley average as a rookie? I mean, listen, man. If I’m going to the game tomorrow, I’m not looking for any banners. I don’t look up at the banners, man. I just look for the game. J cool vids man super chat says Leon hired Walt Perin the best draft scout in the business. Refreshing when the coach actually plays the guys they draft and secure the rights for Kick. So what’s Mike Brown’s excuse for not playing Pekcom Dier? Does Mike Brown not know what Pakome Dier is? This is our first round pick, right? Trust the coach, man. Trust the coach, man. That’s all I’m saying. Like I said, it’s it’s not adding up, [music] guys. It’s not adding up. If that’s the case, Pomeier would have been in this rotation cooking. Why isn’t Dier played two coaches in a row now? Coaches coach, players play, man. You got to earn it, man. All right. So, to the franchise channel members, remember that the show is available in audio podcast format. We out of here, man. See y’all tomorrow. Same time, same place. Peace.

If we got minutes to trade for Alvarado we got minutes for the creator. One thing that has surprised me as we all knew his skillset is his fire and intensity. I love seeing yelling at the rest of the team and getting people in place. I want to see him continue to work with Huck and get Huck even more up to speed.
Keep Kolek. His facilitating is invaluable and shot is maturing. Has potential to be a real weapon off the bench
The whole thing with Thibs is he doesn’t instill confidence in his young players. If young players don’t have confidence they play with fear that they might get pulled out of the game and don’t play to their potential. That’s how I always felt with Thibs. Coach Brown instills confidence in the players so they play better. That’s the difference in my opinion.
That lineup we saw yesterday was fun too watch. Thibs would have never done that. Also he would have never benched bridges for Tyler to close out that cup game. Brown pulls all the right string so far I remember with Thibs players would get hot and all of a sudden he pulled them out out of the game.
Brown is doing a masterful coaching job so far.
#replaygang the issue wasn’t he didn’t get burn. The issue was that the offense with thibs was Brunson Brunson Brunson dribbling the ball all 24 seconds and no one touches it. Everyone was sitting on spots it was super predictable. Even with mikal they had these players stand and one spot. But anyways forget thibs , this is our new team now. 2:04:18
Big Knicks win. BIG Pistons loss. LETS GET THAT #1 SEED BOYS!
Stick with Kolek and get some front court help. Size and scoring.
T kolelk playing great he deserves minutes other young players step up JB hit big 3 points that was good win let’s go Knicks ❤
Tyler Kolek is our TJ McConnell. The Pacers had no answers for Kolek as the Knicks have not had answers for TJ in the recent past.
Keep Kolek!! No need for Alvarado.
1:18:07 facts
17-65 Fizgoggles said “we’re gonna gonna get you right kid!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I will continue to say. This win in Indy told us more about our championship ceiling than the NBA Cup championship. We always knew what our starters are capable of. This solidified the fact that our role/bench IS playoff ready. Best part is Mike Brown is still not done improving the lineups 😤 Let's Go Knicks!!!!!!
Hate to say it but this game was Yabusele's most glaring reason why he is not fitting with this team.
Fans need to realize how good Kolek has been on the defensive end, smart rotations, staying in front of his guy, etc
We know Alvarados ceiling, we dont with Kolek.
Him who shall not be named would not have allowed us to see the potential of our bench.
Tyler Tha Kolaid kid!!!!
CP Tk is the same guy from last year he just has someone that believes in him so he's inspired to fight. Thibs wanted him out and so did alot of you guys after a summer league performance that meant nothing to a guy with 4 years college ball exp.
that guy that compared Kolek to a combo of Stockton and Brunson HAS JUMPED ALL THE WAY OUT THE WINDOW LOL
Looking like white chocolate
Bro I’ve been telling yall about kolek since we drafted him that’s why I said we need to get rid of McBride but all you want McBride. Yo yall need to wake up cause yall commentating late news basketball
Yall dudes be biting bro n taking folks credit! Your fans it’s crazy
Cardiac Clarkson? CP needs to get checked out by his doctor because Clarkson has been playing well for the last month. 😂😂😂
I enjoyed watching the young guys play this game. Kiley unlocks the floor for Brunson because he reads the game and facilitates well. Brunson manipulates the game with straight bucket getting.
Tyler's dribble style and push paystyle reminds me of Steve Nash but the accuracy on the passes is definitely John Stockton
Here is Nickname… The Bone Kolektor!!! 💀 ☠️
CP is right and wrong at the same time on Thibs/Kolek. Yes, Thibs played Kolek but only when he was forced to and even then you could tell he was not happy about jt and pulled him whenever he had the opportunity. We all watch the games too and Thibs body language and attitude towards Kolek was awful, he did nothing to help him rise his game and as soon as Brunson came back he was glued to the bench.
Did Kolek get better since last year? Yes, it appears so. Although the majority of fans including yourself wrote him off during Summer league.
I think the criticism of Thibs is valid and we as fans bring him up only to say that Leon Rose made the right move and Mike Brown deserves credit for helping Kolek rise.
25:02 my fault CP. A reference a little after your time😂
Replaygang- yeah Glockcoma we get real Afterdark over here 😂
#ReplayGang Been here since Ntilikina, Burks or IsoZo. Been a LONG RIDE. Im here there for #2025Champs #startspreadingthenews
I've been saying Brunson needs to play the 2 and they need a pg who can get the rest of the team involved. the playoffs is where they will REALLY need that Brunson one on one game. Tyler will help him stay fresh for June
People need higher definition on their TVs I guess 🤣 🤣 Kolek is obviously stronger and faster this year. Happens to basically all players when they getbto play ball full time. And, he's on an obvious mission to be more aggressive driving and scoring and on defense since summer league. How about this: Thibs, Brown and Kolek himself deserve credit??? Nah we wanna poo poo people 😂😂😂
No guard on the roster can do what Kolek does offensively as far as running the offense and setting guys up. Passing like that makes everyone better and fits how Brown wants to play. Jose Alvarado cant do this either.
