We traded the wrong guy (it should’ve been Hughes)
I love it when people post random stats
I think quinn might actually have been the problem lol
Face facts: a healthy Demko in the fall and we are having a different conversation this Christmas. He is clearly the difference l.
I’ll take these wins as long as they boost Sherwood and Kane’s trade value. Make teams pay a bit more to get ahead of the rest of the pack.
🤣ðŸ˜
quinn was definitely the problem .. he was a cancer .. it’s been three wins since we got rid of him
it was obvious he wanted to leave and as captain that doesn’t send good signals to the rest of the team ..
Since trading Quinn Hughes*
All without Hughes or Petey.
Fuck it, I’m dusting off the parade planning duotang.
I mean at this point I dont think anyone misses Quinn Hughes. He was a puck hog, and playing a horrible game this year not to mention a quitter.
I will continue calling him Captain Quitter. He is the second worst Captain in team history.
So glad he is gone. I’ve never went from loving a player to hating one this much. I was hoping he would get traded for weeks and thank God he did. You could see it for several games before the trade – PP2 with Hronek was always much better. And look at today’s set up on the PP for Sherwoods goal.
We are now a deeper team that actually plays like a TEAM.
This stat tells you all you need to know about about the state this team is in
Great they are going to make a push and miss the playoffs by a game or two. Then end up with a middle level pick in the draft. Rinse and repeat.
Fuck

Wait. This means we should trade a player ever three games.
Only a hockey guy would know this.
get rid of any one else that doesnt wanna be here, build a team of real canucks, just like demko was saying the other day. Credit to QH43 for building himself up to being able to put his career ahead of the team hes on at any point, but fuck its a breath of fresh air to not have the egos around
It just seems the dark cloud has lifted somewhat. Hughes, although a rare talent, just seemed kind of dour. Maybe the funk of the whole situation weighed down the team, and they can just get on with things now that he’s gone.
i would be wary of things like this. Sometimes after a major change, some teams get shocked into playing above their weight for a while.
-After Mike Keenan was hired in 97, the Canucks lost 1/11
-After the Linden trade in 98, the Canucks lost 1/8
Despite those two runs, the Canucks finished dead last in the west. And there is just something about the 97-98 season that feels a lot like this year
