Uh it’s you can just you can feel it the whole way right right to the very end. Um you know our team was really loud on the bench the whole game um involved in the game and and there’s no quit in in this this locker room. So um yeah we we we truly believe that whole game that we could come back >> down by three. Just what did it take the last 10 minutes? >> Yeah it was just it was a just a rel relentless push. you know, all lines were were really um you know, just giving it everything we had, getting pucks in the net and uh you know, honestly having fun. Like those are those are the the games that are a lot of fun. You don’t have too many of those um a year, but when you get to come back like that and win a win a game like that, it uh it’s a lot of fun and um you know, it’s it uh I think it’s good for for the whole team. on that two points and two points, but can this one just mean more just based on who the opponent was and how you guys did it tonight? >> Yeah, I mean that’s it’s a good hockey team over there. Um they’re obviously high up in the standings and um there’s a good chance that we could see them um you know down the road. So anytime we we play um you know potential playoff teams, it’s uh it’s always nice to uh you know come out on top. >> You mentioned belief. Obviously you guys have built that over you know a lot of playoff runs here. Is it easier to believe when you guys have the track record you have and you can look back and draw on so many moments? >> Yeah, I think so. Um, you know, there’s there’s a lot of experience in this locker room. A lot of guys that have played in a lot of big games and a lot of comeback games. So, um, that obviously helps a lot and I think, you know, just the the leadership can just drag uh drag everyone into the fight. >> Safe to say Carolina probably doesn’t like you guys a whole lot uh these days. >> Yeah. Um, yeah. I don’t know. Maybe that’s a question for them, but uh we don’t mind playing them. >> Should we get a good look at the defensive play Lundal made right before the tying goal? What you think? >> Yeah, that’s that’s a that’s a great play. That’s that’s not an easy play against a really good player and um he’s obviously not a defenseman, but he he looked like he knew what he was doing back there and it’s um yeah, we we don’t win the game if he doesn’t make that play. So that’s a that’s a huge play by him. What is it about this group that you guys have been playing well down three nothing 10 minutes to go you got a game tomorrow guys would just been like all right this group never lets that happen what is it about this group that doesn’t allow any opportunity >> yeah I think that just goes to the the experience in this locker room um like I said before there’s a lot of players in here with a lot of big game experience um and that that helps I I mean, we’re there’s a lot of composure um on this team. There’s no panic. No one’s changing the way they play. We’re not um you know, desperately breaking the game open to to look for a goal. Everyone’s staying composed. We’re all positive on the bench. And um yeah, you can just you just feel feel that energy as a as a team. >> All the guys wearing the Bennett Buddies hats today. They sold out and one day just you put so much, you know, heart and soul into that. What does it mean to have a day like that where, you know, you knew there was demand and suddenly one day they’re all gone. Yeah, it was it was incredible. Um obviously I appreciate all the boys supporting supporting me. They were all asking for hats. I didn’t even have enough to give everyone one. So, um I wasn’t expecting um that many people to be that interested in it. So, we’re definitely going to have to get another shipment in. And um yeah, just just keep supporting uh the the shelter pets. >> They said merge. >> Pardon me. >> No, they didn’t. That was the first one’s on me, but the next one they’re going to have to make a donation. So >> Sam, this is four straight wins for you guys and now seven of eight. Has something changed recently that you guys really seem to start seem to be start starting to hit your stride? >> Yeah, I I mean I don’t think it’s just one thing that’s changed, but um you know, obviously honestly having getting Lucy back is is a huge it’s a huge u boost to this this team. um you know getting some lines um getting some chemistry with with um you know the new lines and uh everyone’s just feeling good right now. I think we’ve kind of settled into our game. We’re getting getting more we’re playing more like we used to um more like ourselves and um yeah, we’re enjoying hockey right now. >> You say the composure that you and your teammates had to show to to come back and get this win. >> Yeah, it’s it’s it’s a good win for us. It’s definitely a great comeback against a really good defensive team. So, it shows the character in the locker room. It shows uh uh our uh our structure and our game. >> In shootouts, what are you focused on? What are you thinking about in those in those moments to stay so locked in? >> Yeah, you just you try to stay patient. You know, they got good shooters, good forwards. So, it’s it’s not easy. You just trying to to be focused and not bite on first moves. >> You really get to be on the bench celebrating. What was it like being on the bench with the guys during those two empty neck holes? Yeah, it’s it’s it’s great. Uh I mean, again, it’s uh it’s a comeback, three goals, come back against a really good defensive team, you know, it’s it’s not easy to do. >> But you knew right away that the one that was kicked in, you knew you knew it was going to come off the board, as it turned out, that was a pretty big play. How how confident were you and you know the belief that obviously the the video guys had and saying, “Yeah, let’s challenge this.” >> Yeah, they are. I trust them 100%. you know, if if they they they see they know they they see the details, the little things. So, I trust them more than my eyes, you know, like on on those plays and and that was that was great call. >> I know you always talk about moving on from one game to the next, but can you enjoy this one a little bit longer in here just kind of with how it went down and how you guys got these two points? >> Yeah, we got couple hours to enjoy. So, tomorrow is a new game. It’s yeah I mean it’s it’s a great we have to just stay focused and come back to our roots you know and build again like build from this you know build from this moment we have lots of lots of work to do and uh we excited about the challenge. >> Yeah uh I was lonely last game it uh you know that I think that was our motivation to come back in the game was that uh we want to be together there at the end. Speaking of motivation, how much responsibility do you feel as one of the leaders on this team to to produce in these in these kinds of games? >> Yeah. Um I think we all do, you know, we we understand we didn’t have the start that we uh expected and um you know, the guys that play a lot of minutes, obviously it’s on us to step up and um you know, produce when when uh kind of called upon. It’s not going to happen every night, but um it’s nice when it does. and and uh you know the great thing about our group is we always win with with our depth and and every night somebody else comes through and uh comes up in big moments. Um you know and I think that’s what makes us such a great team. You know we we win and lose as a group and and uh you can see when when we play the right way as a team and uh play within our structure we play well. When we don’t you know we we have holes and and we give it up. But um we did a great job with coming back >> down by three with 10 minutes left. just what did it require of of this group? >> Belief uh is where it starts. Um we just we knew we needed one and and uh uh anything could happen. You know, we we’ve scored three goals uh in 10 minutes before. We knew we can we could we could do it again. Um you know, and and it doesn’t take much for this group to to produce. I feel like you know, everyone’s kind of coming around and having their game going right now. And um you know, we’re dangerous when we get going like that. How impressive is what Lundy did there at the end of the one-on-one battle with saved the day. >> Uh yeah, he he saved the game. You know, obviously Special is a great player that um can easily make a move on a DM man and get a shot on net uh with that much space. So uh yeah, he he completely saved the game there. Uh made a great play and then you know we go down and score right after. So great job by him. >> You talked about three nothing game. Their goalie has lost at you got a game tomorrow. A lot of teams wouldn’t give that one up. What is it about this group that will not >> um yeah, teams that give up and teams that don’t. It’s the difference between championship teams and and not you know, we’ve been in much bigger games and what is it? Game 33, game 34 um of the regular season. Um you know, we we’ve come back in in bigger games than this and and we know that uh we can do it. Again, it’s not going to happen every night, but um you know, if if you’re packing in with 10 15 minutes left, you got bigger problems. How big how big was it though that you didn’t let frustration set in because there were so many opportunities against Bussy that just didn’t go and >> Yeah, I don’t think that was really our we don’t really get frustrated as a team when when uh you know goalies are making saves or it’s hitting them the right way. Um, I would say we were kind of felt like maybe we were missing some calls and we were letting that get to us a bit. And once we kind of got over that um you know and and uh just started playing um started playing
