Obviously not happy with the loss, but considering it’s the second half of a back-to-back and we’re 7-2 in our last 9, I think I’ll be okay.
Onto Carolina!
Blues got saves, we didn’t. That plus fatigue meant it was always an uphill battle in this one. Dust off, go again Tuesday.
Just one of those games. We didn’t look like ourselves out there. It happens.
Think the team’s play as of late should warrant them a little bit of grace.
It’s hard to make a comeback every single game…
This was a B2B and our **7th game in the last 11 days.**
I think that helps explain the super low energy 1st period with few shots. Tarasov made one hell of an effort on the 2nd goal conceded stretching out but the puck just crossed over the goal line. Impressed the boys battled back from there but Faulk’s goal to end the 2nd period just before the intermission was a serious ball buster. Walls finally caved in during the 3rd period.
Not mad at all with how well we’ve played on the whole as of late. Can’t wait for the Carolina rematch on Tuesday where there will undoubtedly be some shenanigans and then we get some well-deserved 3 nights off.
The payment to the refs and the league must have been late tonight
Team looked really tired. And that last second goal in the 2nd given up by Tarasov just snatched the last breath of air for the Panthers
I’m NOT feeling Tarasov they just do not play well in front of him.
That was a let down, but given it’s the second leg of a B2B after a tough game the previous night, not a complete surprise.
Hard to win in b2b
Pretty tough stretch of games in a short time. I thought the team did pretty well overall in those games, but there just wasn’t any gas today
Ran out of gas on the tail end of the back to back after hard game against Carolina. They put up a solid effort in the first two periods, just not enough in the tank.
It is what it is. Been on a great run, rest up, reset and refocus on the next game.
Can’t give up goals in the last minute of play let alone the last second. Goals like that completely change the outlook and flow of the game.
After that goal we just could not recover. We got worked in the third and that was it.
We really need to start beating bad teams. Losing games like this are costing us. In December we have wins against the Islanders, Dallas, Tampa, and Carolina but have losses to Nashville, Calgary, Toronto and St. Louis. Those are games you have to win. Detroit and Montreal aren’t losing games to those teams right now and neither do Boston and Tampa.
On to Carolina. Boys better be ready for that one. That team is going to want serious payback for last night. Going to be a super physical and super tight game. Gotta get the two points in it.
Bummed about the loss, but I didn’t even go into this game with high hopes. We had a hard fought win last night while the Blues were straight chillin’. We’ve got a couple days to rest now and hopefully embarrass Carolina again.
Shit happens
Should’ve gotten that extra attacker out there earlier
Jesus Berggren has been on a roll for them since they claimed him.
don’t care as long as we beat carolina again
Admittedly, I haven’t watched a lot of games this season. Is Tarasov normally this bad or was this just an off night for him?
Hofer is a good goalie and has been great this past month and a half after starting the season off shaky, I kinda expected this when I saw he was starting but didn’t expect a super lopsided score. It happens. Just have to get a win on Tuesday. Reset & Refocus.
Annoying night for scoreboard watching also, Detroit & Tampa getting wins and Boston getting a loser point. Also Habs win in reg. Thanks for deflating Pens 🙄
Think we all didn’t expect them to win tonight tbh. Last night took everything with that win.
At the end of the day those St. Louis fans have to live in St. Louis while we bask in the Florida winters yea who’s the real loser amiright
