Is he s consensus #2 pick in a redraft? Maybe even #1? A huge 1D right handed shot who can shut it down and generates good offense, and plays a physical game? If you didn’t desperately need a center maybe you pick him over Jack.

I am a very large critic of Yzerman, blah blah blah…but it is undeniable that picking Mo, a pretty divisive pick at the time, was masterful. No matter how the Yzerplan shakes out, he at least gave us this wonderful player.
Eye test and traditional looks amazing this year AND all the analytics nerds are absolutely drooling over Seider this year.
Usually when you have both those things you’re talking about one of the best in the league.

Now the team is playing 3 rookies on the 2nd PP unit and contributing. Griffins setting AHL records led by a goalie he drafted. Fans are so fucking stupid.
