Maple Leafs vs. Predators | NHL Highlights | December 20, 2025

O’Reilly leaves the circle. It’ll be O’Reilly, 
Evangelista, and Forsber. We mentioned how well Forsber’s been playing. Both teams coming off of 
losses they don’t like. And let’s see who’s more determined tonight. It’s for that puck hit the 
referee and stayed in the corner. Now it’s swept around. Roman Yosi coming down from the blue line.

that has been all too familiar for the Predators here of late. And they get caught in between. And 
this starts from the defensive zone. Look at the speed. It’s a threeon two right now. And Pervix 
is in the middle here. There’s two guys behind your defenseman. You make that play over. Look 
at the the pull up there. And all a sudden a pass back door to Nick Wah. And this is a perfect tip. 
That is unstoppable. You think that you can play a different game and you can go toe to toe. You 
don’t want to get in a track meet. Stick to your identity and the longer the game goes, the better 
you’ll have a chance. You can defend better, but you have to defend. There’s a tip puck 
in front. A shoulder save by Wool and almost elevated. Angela grew up just outside of Toronto.

course, Smith an ace penalty kill. Meanwhile, Brady Shay just does it himself. He put a 
shot on goal. Robertson moves it up top. Matthews backs off, goes to the side of it, moved 
to the front and a great save by Sorrows. Point blank on Robertson. Second time for Bonte. You see 
Sorrowos on the power play. Willsby read that and good deflection on a skate I believe. So some heat 
provided by the Leafs. But Nashville able to stay within a goal. But here comes Matthews again. A 
prolific shooter. Get chances on that net front. On it again. Nice pass. Punting again. That one 
stopped by the stick of Joseph Wall. This is following the script of the Leafs face. They’ve 
been getting good goalending, but they give up a lot of chances. Yeah, Wall’s been good. He’s 
had to make a couple big saves there, especially the last couple on Bunting. Had to use a lot of 
goalenders, but they’ve been getting the job done. Good centering pass. And another good save for S 
on now. Evangelista stripped in the slot trying to get it back. The line follow up. Green Schaefer 
his first touch. Cole Smith on the puck. Yos. He swings it over to Nick Pervix. That shot into the 
glove of wall. He saw that all the way. Those were some stats. Rebecca King and Abby Helper who 
are on that stuff. They were talking about how rare that is. Another great save by SS right on 
Q after we talked about face off after the icing. Knander hands off to Morgan Riley on the face. 
snaps the shot and the quick snap and the standard is at the highest stand because he’s been Morris 
trophy level. Now another puck turned over and a twoon one short-handed. Here’s a block tuck

Marsho out trying to make his presence though. It comes out to Shay. One time of Wilsby another 
save could bring it from that line on it again. No look pass. It’s the return feed. Jake

that they have to play to succeed. Nashville with possession. Holla drives it in and shot it 
right into the Maple Leaf Lo. Fedor Fetchoff spins away from some traffic out there with Jose. 
A turnaround shot scooped up by Wool. Wood with Stanco still on. This is a hybrid of the two 
units here. Stampos to Yosi. That’s it. Fly score. Erica right in front of the net. Yosi set it 
up and the Predators get a big power play goal to tie it at one. That’s what we asked for 
here. We want the traffic in front of Joseph Wall. He has no idea where this puck is. Look 
at Hall. Look at him mirroring where that puck is. He goes to the side where Stamp Coach is. He 
goes over there. He’s trying to get the eyes of Wool and then he tries to reacquire and Holla 
adjusts in the middle. Wool just goes down, throws his arm out. He has no idea where that 
puck was. Send it all the way across. Knander up top. Machelli. That’s blocked. Sketcher swings 
it. Velli to the net. Score. They got a bounce. So after over five minutes without a whistle, 
one chance and it was one guy in the middle of the ice. John Tvaris is in the middle of the 
ice. Look at all the Preds in the middle and it go ends up going off Tavvarus there. Right in 
the middle. That’s why you got to get to that ice. Look off his skate. He redirects that. 
That’s an unbelievable tip. Takes it behind the net. Powers it in front. Nobody there. 
It’s picked up by Benois. Pressure still on. Backing up. Two good saves by Sorrows. 
First on Matthews who created the rebound. And Matthews is one of the biggest guys that’s 
suffering from not having a player like Mart. Oh, here we go. Busting free is bunting. Twoon one. 
He hit the post. Paula comes in. Paula has the Nashville goal tonight. Brady Shay bounces off 
of gets it down there. Angelista played it out and it’s covered by Wall. They will stay with 
Stamos on this line with O’Reilly and Forsber for the time being. This one played to the middle.

Gets it to Matthews in all on Sorrowos. What patience watch Matthews here fakes a little shot.

Now the veterans on account in front tipped by Sam goes and snapped by Wool. Oh shocked the 
hockey were all done. There’s Matthews working in the fouron four. Pass picked off Riley to 
Forsber up the scene challenging Matthews way out of the net as Wol Riley gets it back. 
Here comes the trailers will he scores. And right here Phil has a chance. He 
gets knocked off the puck. Goes in behind Wool right there. O’Reilly just 
gives it to Willsby. He finds Willsby coming in here right on his tape. That’s a 
beautiful pass there by O’Reilly. And then Willsby comes in right down Broadway and 
rips it past Wol. He didn’t even go down. Job there. He’s able to look around. Pervvic there 
as Machelli was trying to fire that shot. Pervvic just took a step to the inside of Outsiders to 
see him. All to Smith. Smith drops it off. Tic tac toe. Yosi missed the target. Thrown back to 
the net and blocked by Riley Joshua. And then before this, look at this play here. Yosi back. 
He missed the far side there. And both teams disappointing losses where they were more or less 
embarrassed in their last game. So the urgency was there. Bing lets it rip again, but another save 
by Ward. Another salute to the for the younger boys. Yeah. I said, “Oh, it was great listening 
to you, Willie.” And they kind of sideeyed me, I guess. Here comes Lucisa swinging 
in. Makes a great move. He scores. Oh my. What a move by Evangelista, the Toronto 
native. And the Predators take a 3-2 lead. Well, what a goal. Brady Shay up to Evangelista. 
Then he does the rest through four leafs and then making five over the shoulder of Joseph 
Wall. Look at the inside out and the flick of the wrist on the back hand and pretty boy 
Vincenzo with a massive goal here in the third period. Reds take the lead up the ice. 
McCarron he’s got a twoon one with Schaer. He shoots. Schaer with the rebound. Turns back to 
the net. S just wide diving for it. Picked up again with a broken stick. Puts it right in front. 
Feathered to the net by Sam goes. Saved by Ward. Uses the glass. Evangelisa’s got Forsber with it. 
Evangelisa from behind. Back thrown up by Forsber. L in the corner. Double team. Thrown 
back to the net. Sorrows had it, lost it. One-time save by Sorrowos. 
Back come the lead with the top coat. Stripped along for he’s got Sam goes. 
Sam goes. It’s all alone. He scores. Yes, sir. That’s for you, Sheila. 42 Forsber 
right there. just hands it. No one inside. Riley shadowed by 
Stanford. Cow down the wall around the horn. Quick release. Score and 
the leaves. So right back. It’s not over yet. Bobby McMahon. Well, he just told everyone to take 
a deep breath. We’ll take another one here because Toronto’s not going away. They’re fighting to 
the end here and they get that puck down low, up high and then good screen in front 
by Scott Lton. The big man there, the fourth liner in the meet. Everybody 
here at Bridgestone Arena is up. Big face off. Shay fires it. O’Reilly bouncing 
P. Cole Smith up the wing. Yes, sir. and he puts this game away 5-3. Again, the 
effort, a good rim there by Brady Shane. Ryan O’Reilly helps that on the bounces. Smith takes
