Ryan Neuzil reflects on the Atlanta Falcons win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Press Conference

Hey Ryan, how you doing today? >> I’m doing good. >> All right. Hey, um uh I guess we just start with the fumble recovery and uh uh some of the guys said, “Hey, you know, we follow the finishing rules and you were following them, I guess, on that play.” >> Yeah, I mean it’s always something in the O line room like you always want to be around the ball. Stuff always happens in games like you just want to make sure you’re around the ball. maybe take an extra hit off the ball carrier or just be there in case something happens and was just doing our job. >> And uh so so what triggers in your your brain there when you see that ball come out what song from Mooney? >> Uh well the first thing is just I mean it’s kind of engraved into all of us just to finish to the play. So just kind of going through that almost every play and that just happened to be that play something happened and I was just fortunate enough to be around the ball and be able to come up with it. >> Is that a kind of play that you know um kind of uplifts the spirits around here? Uh you went went on in and uh you know got within a scoring range there a couple plays later. >> Yeah, I mean it’s always good. I think it was like right in the red zone that happened. So just being able to continue to drive and get points off that which led to us getting the win is always good. >> Have you seen that photo where it’s like seven bucks all around the wall and Mooney and you’re nowhere to be found and you were the one who ended up getting it? >> Yeah, I I got sent the photo a few times. Yeah. >> How many times say you got sent it? >> Uh just a handful. Nothing too crazy. >> And was the question like how [snorts] the hell did you get to that >> kind of? Yeah. Like how’d you end up with it? Yeah. And what did you and what what is your reply when you got those? >> Just got lucky. Just clean dive in the pile and the ball was just right there. >> What are kind of the the individual efforts from Thursday night kind of say about this team right now that I mean you guys know the situation you’re in the postseason everything but you know a lot of I mean your individual effort uh cousins pits what does that kind of say about this team right now that you know everybody knows kind of how the season’s going to play out but you guys are still doing what you’re doing to get wins like that on Thursday night. >> Yeah I mean everyone in the building knows that. I mean, we’re here to do a job and we’re we’re here to win. So, I mean, everything we can do to just continue to keep building and continue to keep building on the wins and then just finish out the season strong. >> Hey, how’s the season been for you? You know, first time starting uh uh you know, how’s uh Ryan News feeling about how he’s playing this season? Uh, I’d say I mean it’s not really much of an individual sport, so it’s all team based, so there’s definitely a lot of things we can all improve on, including myself, and just hopefully something to build on towards the future. >> I wanted to ask the uh, it’s getting some national attention, the TJ Watt story, and maybe a lot of people don’t know what dry needling is as a recovery method, but as a player, do you see that? Does it kind of scare you a little bit? Does it make you second guess that? >> I’m not too familiar with the story. I saw like the general just headline and everything, but uh I mean not really. I mean, our training staff some of the best people I’ve been around, so have confidence in them and anything they need to do or do to us to for us to be ready on Sundays. >> Is building on a win like that a real thing? Like as you guys look for the next few games, another game come up on Sunday, like how do you kind of build upon that and continue, you know, kind of the momentum you guys have going? >> Yeah, I mean obviously when you win it’s obviously a lot better the next week. So definitely uplifting spirits and just getting everyone ready to just continue the week and just finish out these last three weeks strong.
