NHL Highlights | Kraken vs. Sharks – December 20, 2025

ice against Matty Veneers of the Seattle Kraken and we are underway. Game 36 of the season for the Sharks as the halfway point of the NHL campaign will quickly be upon us. And the Sharks, who last year finished dead last out of 32 teams, continue to be one of the surprise stories in the NHL this year. Let’s see if they can rebound after a tough loss the other night. IGOR CHERNISHOV WAIT SHOOTS and it’s saved by Joey Dor. Jamie Alexiak will play it ahead to Gdro and now it’s turned over to Wenberg again. He’s got it in the attacking zone. WENBERG LOOKS TERI SHOT STOPPED BY the court. It’s still loose and available. Here’s Wenberg back to the point. Shovel to the high slot. Tapoli waits. Makes a play to his left for Ekliff. Back to Tyler. TAPOLI. DRAGS IT IN. BACK INAND SHOT. HE ROLLED TOWARD THE POST. TOI ends up in the net and does his job. Gets over there and supports the D. Now the stretch pass up to center. And then Lynn falls and there’s A PUT AWAY FOR save by the Gors. Evans stops at the goal line. Flicks it back. Tolman for right. Shane right into the middle for Gadro. He got a stick on it but it went into the corner. Evans back toward right behind the net and now right slots it back for Riker Evans once more. Josh Bhur that’ll bounce off a couple of feet. Asteroth trying to locate it off the stick of Iorio and all the way down to the Seattle net miner to court. He quickly sends it up. Sharks on a change. Let’s see if they can adjust. Gro shot to THE NET. REBOUND CHANCE. ASS GOT IT. He missed the net. Cherna for Celini. Necklin gives it to Graph. Graph takes a look. Chernish in shoots and Dor MAKES THE SAVE. BACK TO THE NET. IT COMES FROM Celbrini and Edose with four. HERE’S CHERNAW GETS THE REBOUND and Dor fights it off as Gra will toss it back now to Celibbrini. >> Starting to get some passes. Really skating off the puck well and attacking. >> Freddy Gro a backhander trying to sneak it through but Asterov shuts the door now into the corner. Or takes a look. Everly fairing down and this IS RIGHT OUT FRONT. THERE’S THE SAVE OF THE GAME so far for Ascarov. >> Keep him. We’ve se where we’ve seen that before. Sharks with 17 shots in that first period or 12 shots. 17 saves for Ascarov. Gives it to NA off his stick. He’ll wave it to the net and it just missed. Here’s Iorio and Everly will take it from him and clear the zone. Great action here in the second period of what so far is a scoreless game. Here’s Ellie Tolman and he scores. >> It looked like Tolman had lost his edge, but he recovered in time. Snaps it home. One- nothing Seattle. The Sharks have the puck. They’re battling for the puck, I should say. And then Tolman just turns, fires. That’s one that Yarlan Ascarov is not going to like very much. Sharks have it. Good checking by the Seattle Kraken. The puck just squeaks loose and then it goes seven hole between the arm and over the pad. Not going to like that at all. But 2114 the shots. >> Back down to the blue line. Lind gave it away. Here is Colin Graph. Graph turns, looks for Ferrar. He’s open. Mario into the attacking zone. Gives it on the way. GRAB IN. GRAB SHOT SAVED BY DEPORT >> AGAINST the last rated penalty kill that hasn’t looked like that tonight at least yet. Clingberg shot save rebound and Deort gets to it before Went. >> But then it’s loose but he gets the glove. Joey Dort does back down on right there. It looks like >> skates past Stevenson drops it back to Clingberg. >> Yep. >> Now Ecklund setting up shop on the left wing. Here’s Ecklund. Has a look. Shoots, blocked, rebound. Clingberg slapper as Celibbrini stands in against wins the draw. Now Warlock Skinner and Celbrini from the left side now he’ll look SHOOT INTO TRAFFIC. PINBALLS AROUND THEY SCORE. Adam got it. Pokes it home and we’re tied. Look at Chernop. Churnershoff’s in front. Right. The referees are talking. I was just wondering what they were talking about. But there’s the shot. It’s a simple shot, but because Churnershoff is there, Dort has trouble finding the second the rebound, the deflection where it goes to the side. There you go. There you got get the guy’s eyes and Godette slides over. So you’ve got two different levels at the net. >> Scoring on their third power play of the game. >> Uh-oh. Don’t be >> Dickinson gave it away. Here’s a chance NOW FOR SHANE RIGHT. AND AS THE SAVE TRYING TO FIND IT as Dickinson did his best to swat that rebound away. >> Our second key, direct quick movement with the puck. >> Here’s Yiani Newman. He’ll dance on the blue line. Bring it on the wide side out front and Winterton denied by Ascarov. >> Now Joshura the indirect off the boards wanted Stevenson. Ferraro got a stick in the way. HERE’S GWENBERG BACK ACROSS AND denied between the Sharks and Seattle. Mlin Celerini’s line to start period three. Flanked on his right by Igor Chernishov and on the left Colin Crab as it’s fired in by John Clingberg. Back to the cracking goalie Joey Dord. Seattle’s lost four in a row, 10 of their last 11 as they have staggered through this month of December. Here’s Chernishaw with the steal. Matty Beneers gets it back to Capokako and Jordan Everly runs over Clingberg as he clears the puck ahead. Shorloff just about lost it to Everly. That would have been a disaster, but he recovered. Now Dunn TURNS IT OVER. CHESHAW B OFF THE PELACE and they score. ON THE VERY FIRST SHIFT IN THE THIRD PERIOD, THE SHARKS take the lead. He just told us got to get people to the net now. Sharks get in. What did he say also? You got to get your fork check going. And the Sharks Yeah. Okay. Again, a little fortunate there as Joey Dort tries to as much as he can squeeze the pads. It goes off the post and then Dort and Adam Larson end up putting it in their own net, but Colin Graph is there. It pushes. It goes in for Colin Graph. Newman with a shot and that deflects wide. Godette with it. That’s kept in with his glove by Riker Evans and he scores. Yaroslav Ascarov screened by defenseman Shakir McMullan couldn’t see that puck coming in and Riker Evans with a prayer from the blue line ties it back up. You can’t make a play right there on the boards and not get that puck out in that area and then it just comes back and Yaoslav doesn’t see it. It’s just a a wrist. I don’t think it gets touched or deflected, but Yaro didn’t see it until it goes off his arm and into the >> gut-wrenching loss to the Dallas Stars for the Sharks. 53 Sharks were down 43 and Dallas put it into an empty net to seal it. Here’s Lingren with a shot and he scores. >> Another deflection >> and that one did change directions on Yaroslav Ascarov and for the second time tonight, Seattle has a lead. Another deflection. Seattle takes the lead. >> Shakir Muk Madullan going out now. He’s going to get the stick out and it goes off of Shakir. It looks like his foot and into the net. But on that particular play, the Sharks Yeah, it goes right off his foot. On that particular play, the Sharks have two guys over on Chandler Stevenson. He makes the play across. >> Can’t make the play as Newman sends it ahead. Here’s Shane Wright. He’ll throw on the brakes. Nice move against Skinner now. Wright with a shot. Saved by Ascarov. He’ll leave it for Vinnie. Iorio stretching it out. Tyler Tapoli with the puck ahead for Eklan. ECKLAN WRAPS IT AROUND. IT’S ON the goal post. Dickinson little behind. Stop. Chuck stolen by Ko. Here’s Ko WITH BENEERS. KO SHOOTS AN ASCAR on a glove save and he’ll hang on. Larson comes flying in. >> Stevenson there in the corner as well. This is Ecklan right up the gut. It goes to Alan Tolman who’s got an open net. Tolman moves past one man to Chandler Stevenson and he’ll walk it in and tuck it home. And it’s 42 Seattle. A third unanswered goal for the Kraken. And William throws the puck out. He just misses. just misses the pass in front. I think it was Skinner there. And then a nice play by Chandler Stevenson getting the pass and then tucks it into the empty net. >> Stevenson and that’s going to do is he’ll rip it off the boards and down toward the empty net. And they’re going to run the clock down as this one comes to an end.

Eeli Tolvanen and Chandler Stephenson each finished with a goal and an assist and Joey Daccord made 35 saves to lead the Seattle Kraken to a 4-2 win over the San Jose Sharks.
