CONDENSED GAME: Boston Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks – 12/20/2025

Live from TD Garden in Boston, MASSACHUSETTS. WELCOME to Boston Bruins hockey on Nessen. Tonight, the Garden Party rolls on as the Bruins welcome the revamp Vancouver Canucks to TD Garden for their first clash of the season. Look at this place, Brick. We are ending the Garden Party in style. We’re in the lofts here at TD Garden. Hello again, everybody. Along with Andy Brickley, I’m Jud Serat. Thanks for joining us. hadn’t lost it. VANCOUVER COUNTERS THE BRUSH CUTS IN BACK HAND AND SLING FOR HIS FIRST big stop of the night. Yeah, Brews got caught with a combination on the back end of Makavoy and Pig. You don’t see that a whole lot. And then they were looking for the back door play in the offensive zone that didn’t materialize. And then De Brusk shows one of his best assets and that’s that straight ahead speed. able to get to that loose puck. Attack down the left side. You had to play it almost like a twoon one and then the brush tried to take it from forehand to backand try to outweight sway and nothing from the National Hockey League with 24 goals across the middle staff. Lynholm set in a stick save. Pretty good shot by Lynholm cuz that puck was in by his right skate. Still got something on it and on target. Astronaut catches looking for the bumper. top screen. He’s halfway point of 50 goals. We haven’t even reached the midpoint of the season. MORGAN DID A POWER PLAY LAST RUINS ONE NOTHING. WELL, it’s a good entry. They used the delay, but then they move the puck up to Geeky Wide. They got him in the end zone initially and twice they try to go to the bumper and that forces the way Vancouver wants to defend. They got to be cognizant of it. They defend it well, but what does it do? It opens up the flanks. It opens up the elbow. They set up Geeky for the one-time. We’re back to the entry. It’s a good decision by Lynholm cuz there’s a lot of open ice over on that left side. And even though the initial play on the rush doesn’t connect, the Bruins have possession. People getting open. Puck management. Good chance right there for Lynholm. that got deflected, but once they got back to the top of the umbrella because they tried to use the bumper on a couple of occasions, it opened up the flank of the one time flip back SP first re it out in front jam little side by back door pass and connect back down along the near side IN FRONT SCORE MAX Sass able to sneak one in short side and the Conucks with 14 seconds left in the first have tied the game at one. Hard to believe this is a 1-1 hockey game right now. 13 seconds to go. Bruins got all kinds of bodies back. Lynhol trying to make a play right here. Gets knocked out. Bruins can’t eat it. Nobody can manage to get it. Sass gets open in the slot area. Low slot on one side. Catch and release before Swainman can really get set and handle it. High actually a dangerous preserve just as the train is constantly accurate as this puck is deflected OUT IN FRONT. CARLSON SHOOTS. He scores. Lean as Carlson stuck down the slot and flipped by Swayman. And the connections in front two to one. Yeah, Swayman doesn’t get back in the net. I mean, this is not a hard wrapound. It’s got something on it. You know, relatively fresh ice, but the minute that puck gets by Swayman and his attempt to get back, I mean, it’s a quick little simple play. Pete can’t get in the passing lane. Nobody picks up Carlson on the net drive. I He’s got a wide open net tapping. Details, John. 82 post on the stop. OH, LAURA HAD A CLEAN LOOK. given away by the C AND HOFF TRYING BLOCKED AFTER HE DUSTED it off and a fight to get this free just by might have been deflected coming out here. CENTERED. HE DRIBBLES TO LINCOLN TRIES TO FREEZE IT. LITTLE ACTION IN FRONT just to the side. There’s Kane in the middle of it. He geeky right there. I mean, you think about the two goals that Vancouver has. I put that just the post of what the Bruins are doing to create chances for themselves in this sequence right here. This is the last one right here. Zach on the back end of Mavoy. That one just misfired Marshall block gets a right hand right into Roick’s head in that little scrum there when everybody’s coming up to his defenseman. The best chance was right. Good stop up by Posacs Lindholm. Quick pass walking right down Broadway. Langon with his biggest save of the night. Bruins win it. Lenol fires and it’s shrugged off by Lincoln. He shoots deflected Lincoln IN THE SAME REBOUND. LINCOLN AGAIN. OH, HE’S FEELING IT. Hassling and the Bruins get going to tip a screen. A rebound. Second opportunity as a result has swing the save and he covers up. Now we’ll go back to the Bruins offensive zone draw. Good help off the draw. The guys talked about it between periods. The wingers helping out the centerman to get a good winning percentage here tonight. Castle gets on the loose puck. There’s a shot from the point and Castle goes to the scoring area right between the hash marks. He gets an opportunity by SW. There was a flash screen there. Leon freezes this and Vel gets involved. A little pop to Marcus Patterson and Al getting a little more involved right below us. Linesman trying to settle some of the combatants. Yeah, that little guy Kane came in towards the end and got a little left hand jab in the direction of Val. It’s a good effort by Val. You know, it’s a it’s a indirect pass trying to lead him, but it was out in front of everybody. But he kept the pressure on. He danced by the defenseman and forced Lankan have to make a play on the puck. Get a look at it here. Austin 48, Vancouver 91. Both aerial pass. He’s going to race. Oh, the Bring that badly. Well, the Brews gain entry. Looking for that little drop pass maybe 15 ft inside the blue line. A little toe pick by Davis Lynholm. And now the break de Brusk’s off. Didn’t like both guys going to the same area of the ice. And now it’s right in between them. And then the stumble. De Brusk tries to go like we saw in the first period. This one a little bit more central. Not coming all the way down the boards. He got more to the middle of the ice. Didn’t have to get around anybody. But Swain stayed right with him. Huge stop to keep this a onegoal game. And now here’s Middlestat working against Meers. UP. Bruins two. Oh, what a nice decision by Casey Milstead. The Bruins defend well. Now Milstat has the puck head up the whole way. brings his check to him. He brings Tyler Myers to him, puts on the brakes at the right time cuz he knows he has Zedora coming late. The net drive by Zaka who ends up being the goal scorer allows that play to develop. Mills that with a timing Zoro able to step to his right stays on his forehand side freezes Lank with the threat of the shot and then Sak’s going to be strong on his stick to finish the play and he doesn’t go any other way. Three on two cancel BY the passing from this group sizzles one. Bruins three comes two. Solar ends up in the right spot. The Bruins execute a threeon two, but the shot’s going to be blocked. But Sodestro puts the brakes on. No flybys. He tracks the puck. Even though he was turning in the opposite direction, he recognized he can keep it in. And he makes a nice pass to Castle to keep the play alive in the offensive zone. Castling behind the back. Swim pass to Janelle. Ready for the one time making a few changes. Just over 5 minutes remaining in the second period connects two rushes in hits the brakes centered and making an almost shot by Sherwood. HEAT. HEAT. And the Canucks are not going away. Bruins three. Canucks three. Yeah, another late the period goal. And uh some good fortune again on the Canucks side. Mentioned a couple of gift goals. Bruins have something to do with the first two. This is just something kind of like a broken play, but the Canucks stay with it. The one-time is going to get partially blocked. Reflects high up in the air. Swayman can’t track it. It’s above his head. I think it was VL. got a piece of it when he went down the block and just kind of pops up in the air. I’m just wondering how I’m wondering how if Patterson got a piece of that or whoever that forward was cruising over the player was cruising through the slot. Looked like he took a punch at it before the officials make a call. >> Oh yeah, he gets a glove on that. This is only the second time the Bruins have been involved in a challenge this year. And the hand pass here in the last couple of weeks has been a hot buck topic around the National Hockey League. >> Did they announce a challenge here, Jud, or is the officials just kind of coming together and say, “Hey, wait a second. Let’s talk about how that puck went in the net before we make a call whether it’s a good goal or not.” Ryan Pakara, Jordan Samuels Thomas. Here’s the announcement. The call now is no goal due to the block. >> I don’t even know if that’s a challenge if they counted it as a goal. He gave it right to to Elias or Elias Lost tonight. He’ll chip it back to work down low. Astronaut William can’t contain him. Center astronaut back up here. HE SCORE CARLSON. HE GOES TOP SHELF UNDER THE BAR. His second of the night. Ties the game at three. This game is unbelievable for Vancouver. when they get a bounce, when they get a break. I know they had the goal taken away, but it was the right call, but this puck just kind of bounces in no man’s land and it’s a shot. I don’t know if it ramps off the stick of Makavoy or not. Also just if his release just took it up that high. I couldn’t tell from any of those replays. Probably have to ask Swayman. That is crossaring in side. High passing BACK ON A BIG STOP ON Sherwood to the middle. HERE IT COMES. THEY SCORE. LIAM OREN DEFLECTED THIS ONE DOWN AND IN. And the Canucks jump in front four to three. >> Yeah, quick discussion by the officials as to where the tip occurred in terms of high stick or not. We get a look at it right off the face off. The rust comes out high. They create twoonone. The Bruins have a breakdown in coverage in that man-on man Rosy. Bruins create a turnover. They got OUT OF THE BOX. HEAT. HEAT. HEAT. Keep on the ocean floor. Just a little snapshot with a little bit of traffic in front of the net. Langan can’t pick it up and he catches the iron to his left and it comes off the post. He catches the back part of the equipment of Langan. It goes into the back of the net. Bruins get a nice break. It was a nice entry with speed. They attack the net. Everybody’s in the offensive zone. They’re thinking tying goal and they get it for Pete. That’s his third of the season. wheels his way in. Post shoots striking in the save trying to go five hole. It’s just great execution right there. Pass does the job comes out wins the draw. Zak is ready for so the Bruins back pedal to open up underneath space. Zaka comes takes the puck and now he’s in a running turn. He’s going to have a little speed coming through center. Crisscross will pass it out. That’s a pretty good scoring chance off the opening shift. off the drive. Kicked out in front ste. Oh, what a great effort by GI. It wasn’t anybody’s pump off the draw. Vancouver ended up with it. tries to regroup, but Geeky just stays right with it. Vancouver Roick doesn’t come in and eliminate Geeky at all. He doesn’t fly by that allows Geeky to find Makavoy. He couldn’t get his shot away right away, but then he did a little toe drag now. Shing it in tight. Trying to make a move. Try to go back in rebound with 16. Easy. He puts it down. save for over time. his way. Liam Oberin will step on and go in regulation. He’ll cut to the slot. He scores. He’s able to tuck IT BY SWIMMING. AND NOW THE BRUINS need to score to extend it. >> Yeah, this is a pretty move. >> Pretty lateral that move right there across the blue line. >> Absolutely sells that shot was going to try to go for the post check. Couldn’t get there in time. goes wide right, settles, shoots in THE STOP AND THE CANUCKS COME UP WITH A VICTORY TONIGHT. THEY had to rally in the third period >> and they have gone a perfect 4-0 on this fivegame road trip. Your final here tonight in the shootout.

  2. Swayman is no starter. Gives up too many easy shots. I never wanted him after his contract hold out. And he’s proven me right. Bruins passing getting stronger, players starting to gel more and more with every game

  3. We support the team and not the wins. when it comes to playing well all round, Bruins it was not disappointing to watch. When we try are best what ever the result it is good.
Cheers from your Heavenly brother Charlie on the 21st of December Holy Apocalypse day 2203 in the Revelation of the Second coming of Jesus Christ Charles Andrew Oyedele Ososami.
    All glory to GOD.
    Peace
