How Rudy Gobert Impacts NBA Games While Being “Bad” at Basketball

yep that pretty much explains rudy gobert.
-rudy gobert is one of the best screen setters providing a wide open driving lane or 3 pt shot because he is a lob or offensive rebounding threat or mismatch which naz/jaden/randle cannot imitate most of the time because they simply not big enough to set good quality screens
-rudy gobert is still one of the most important player for this team
most of their offensive scheme and almost every defensive schemes rotates around rudy gobert’s pick and rolll then spacing and rim defense and help side defense
-without rudy gobert, this wolves team is a bbq chicken in the paint
and i am not even lying
-rudy gobert is having an underrated season,
he still has a slippery hands but is converting buckets more efficienctly
-rudy is still kinda cone on offense most of the times doing silly mistakes like (like how he air balled a dunk previous games as a 7’1 grown ass man), but there are times when gets his thing rolling ( like the way he posterized wemby with fakes in 2024 which i still remember)
Rudy is the anchor of this team. You can take that two ways, both of which apply to Rudy.
this video seems very accurate, and I didn’t even realize how valuable his screening was versus when he’s off the floor. Obviously we know he’s a very impactful defender and not great as a scorer, but this is another level I don’t notice often when watching games,
