game starts at 1pm est, not tonight
Which change are you most excited for?
We think Leno is back on Tuesday for the rangers?
We will see how long they last, if they don’t get offense early on I’m sure Carbery will shuffle them as usual.
I would rather give Miro a real look instead of trotting out Milano, Frank, Beauvillier, and Lapierre game after game after game. I do like the top 6 though, long overdue shakeup.
duhaime dowd beauvillier 3rd line is puke worthy
Need to trade for a second line center until PLD comes back or give Baby Pro or Cristall a chance. Lappy and Milano need to go
I’m glad Carbs is willing to switch things up. Something is not clicking
Protas Strome Wilson line is going to light it up. Not excited for the Lapierre line, they might be -3
I’d rather just see ovechkin healthy scratched to give him a rest and see if you can get Strome going otherwise.
I think the first line is going to suffer the same issues as it has since Ovi started looking his age again… poor defense and lack of sustained pressure, and I don’t think a rookie Sourdif is going to solve that issue when Strome couldn’t.
The second line may be something good, but Idk if Strome fits with that playstyle… TBD I guess, but I’m optimistic. Either way, our second line will still be our only offensively generating line.
I really like the dowd-duhaime-Frank fourth line, so I would’ve kept that.
Instead of moving Lapierre around, I think his time should be up and he should probably be done. If you’re gonna play a line for 5 mins a game might as well bring up a prospect and give them some sheltered minutes to see what we have with them. Better than having Lapierre sit on the bench until we’re losing by enough where it doesn’t matter anymore.
To me I think this is gonna have the exact same problems as every game:
– an unplayable first and third line that leave our goalie and D out to dry
– I think this will be expedited by an inability to line match and shelter certain lines on the road tonight.
– lots of line changes during the game which disrupts flow.
– tbh I expect a worse performance than last night because we’re still too reliant on defensive scoring to consistently win games.
