got the quick beat going today. Boyare chased by Van Reinsteike made the 
pass for Dow and went for Frank Carlson laid one through here for Brailier. A 
save. Talbot didn’t know where it was. Didn’t get out, but he made the first stop. Here’s 
Farravari, the defenseman wraparound try. Stopped there by Tel going to get on those

of 24 hours ago. 7-1 shots Washington again. Yesterday in Washington at the end of the first 
period, it was 17-6 for Detroit. You knew it was coming. They’re a darn good hockey club. I think 
Todd McCullen sensed it was coming too. He knew they’d be better. That gets stolen off Telbot 
into the slot. Oh, he was down but not out. He made the save. He’s swimming and the puck 
comes to the near side. Move for Edmonson. Finny Larkin cuts back with it. That gets knocked 
away. Edmonson will be betu goes for a change. Edmonson. Nice feed. Raymond. Save made. They 
really miss him down the middle. They’re missing two of their top nine, including Ryan Leonard. 
Is Washington. Leonard hit by a Trou hit right in for Frank. He scores. Ethan Frank makes 
it one to nothing. Blown tire on the play. It’s Johansson who tripped right there and a 
nice move to go to the backhand and tuck it. It looked like five hole and there’s 
the the fall down by Johansson. Yeah, that’s five hole and a one nothing. Hamick

The NHL schedule gets a little tough, but Obie said he’s going to try. Hope so. Elmer 
Soderblam is hurt. We hear from Sergey Karov on the first intermission there. Red Wings need 
to get a hold of this puck. Yeah, not easy. Otis put it toward the goal and that’ll be 
held and then lost an edge and went down as Roy gets the puck back and brings it to

that chance in that. I couldn’t see whether he got a piece of that or not, but I don’t know. The

I think I don’t think this would have counted anyway. But nonetheless, a mad scramble at the 
end. A non-goal for Washington at the other end. And Detroit probably feeling, you know what?

by Lindren in the nation’s capital. James Van Reck gets one ahead here for Coner.

Oh, and a good save there. Definely knocked out of the air by Wilson. 
Good play for Stro. Drops one back through the skates. Protest shoot it back in ahead to 
center for James for Rasmusen and James Van Remsteike made that play. Here’s Ovkin with it

ago and the record breaker 895 that got tipped back down in front and finding it Tel sent in by 
Apple Roy got boxed out. Danielson on Chick moved it to Ovetkin. Shot right in and a backhander

this may have deflected off a stick way high in the slot and beats Lindren. He’s been solid today 
to tie this game at one. Raymond’s seventh goal, his 26th point the past 22 games. Yeah, 
that’s what you think when you don’t get your two minutes served. Oh boy. place.

shot. Here’s Finny getting back as Roy a diving. Finny tried to get to it, couldn’t but stayed 
with it and stole it anyway. Look at that play by Finny Clark. He was an offseason acquisition, 
one of only three on the opening night roster who didn’t play last season with Washington. Nice 
job, Leonard right there. Caps around him. Here’s Debrink. Scores. It found its way. Leonard went 
to the net the play at center ice with two caps on him a few moments before he was able to retain 
possession and get the puck in to allow this play to even begin to happen. There’s a beginning and 
there’s an end. The end was the puck at the back of the net. Swipe it out to center ice. Clark 
back defensively able to make the play. Loose in front of the net. A blocker save by Tel 
Avar had sent it in. Travis Hamick tipped by Appleton on for Danielson. Soderblonde to the

Chickman. That went wide to the net and grabbed Gibbs. No, I was fast though, but 
I played football with buddies, but not save right in front. Cleared away. What a back in for Raymond. Out of the glove 
and then just went wide. Wraparound try getting it back from Chickley who 
heads for a change as Stro brings it in able to find Carlson. Loose for 
Frank. He scores through the legs again. Wow. Two in the same place 
on Telbot. And we’re tied at two. Carlson that made the play. There were 
two Red Wings there. Frank was just the the trailer that picked up the loose change 
and there’s no he came right off the bench. Nobody checked on the way back was McI 
pass is in. Danielson save made by Lindren turning with it. Mcichel Ovetchkin 
post in front picked up here. Oh, Larkin was hooked a little bit. Larkin’s away 
to the races. A penalty coming here. Larkin in on goal. He can end it. Oh, and he can’t 
do that. But there will be a power play. Lin went to his left. Washington number
