  1. My favorite defenseman will forever be Lidstrom, but this boy is making a strong case for himself!

  2. Great play by Copp too baiting out that stick to make the pass, all it took was a couple of players to play a little bit better and all of a sudden everyone started clicking.

  3. The insane part of it is that he still has a lot more room offensively, both individually speaking AND even more so with the other players on the team actually finishing chances.

Wings are improving 5v5, but they are still way down on scoring at ES, scoring at a rate of PPG for over 20 games when factoring this is insane, especially given the workhorse he is. His hits per game is down, his blocks per game also a little bit down, but both of those I assume is because the team is better overall and less behind the 8-ball.

If he continues to excel at getting his improved wrist shots through (he rang one off the bar as well in today’s game), we are looking at about 15-18 goals per season. And if the bottom 6 starts producing more offensive along with the top 6 a little bit more at ES, his assist count should rise even more.

I hope for Christmas that the Wings hire a breakaway coach, Seider can’t be tasked with teaching the rest how to score on breakaway’s as well; even more points for Seider lost on breakout passes.

If he continues like this the rest of the way and don’t get serious Norris consideration the only reason must be the media still hating us after Lidström got 7 of them. 60-65 points and the same level of elite underlying numbers and eye-test candy come April should garner him at least top 5-6 in voting imo.

  4. The more Mick stumbles over his words the better the play.

Hell of a blast! Or as Tom Brady would say, a piss cannon!
