1. Red Sox dont seem to value their own pitching prospects much, nor do they value Tristan Casas.

I like Contreras however they are just trading players for other players they have yet to sign a fee agent that’s why this trade was made because they didn’t want to spend money for Alonso so there still operating on the cheap they could have signed Alonso and then used dobbins in a trade for another piece there still full of shit they better sign Bregman because then this trade means nothing

This team for the millionth time understand this Red Sox nation the only players they will acquire is via trade they will not spend any money on a free agent so there nickeling diming with these band aid trades bregman is gone so if you’re happy with this trade and they lose Bregman this is nonsense a step back

5. You should do video on Craig breslow. How he’s been mention since last year, being difficult to deal with from other GM and Agents. The last two major trades this year is with the previous redsox GM Chaim Bloom. Redsox staff don’t know how to judge talent and judge the free agent market. They are not playing safe and are not wanting to win. This will be the redsox big move.

9. Love this move! You were able to make this move without including Tolle or Early. Contreras can play multiple positions and we needed some right handed power.

11. I like this move, he can play 1st, DH or catch once in a blue moon. He surely can help mentor Carlos and Conner.

12. I can’t believe the Red Sox traded Hunter Dobbins. Stupidity. IMHO the reason we can’t sign any important pitchers/bats is because nobody wants to work with weirdo Craig Breslow. He’s got to go if we are ever going to be a popular team to All Star caliber players again.

17. The cash was light. Contreras contract is underwater by $14 million per BTV. Not sure we have enough in the tank for a Marte trade. Our pitching depth has taken a hit (Criswell, Fitts, Dobbins), as well as the pipeline (Clark, Fajardo). I am not sure we won the Peralas trade. Can the Sox make an aggressive push for Bichette? Then use Duran and maybe Bello for a true SP2.

18. Cardinals fan here. Contreras played really well at first base. He is a solid hitter and still does want to catch. How much? I don't know. Win Win trade imo

19. I think Casas starts at AAA and earns his way back to the Active roster. He can platoon at first and DH. Yoshida and Hicks are such deadwood on the roster.

20. This is a solid move that allows the Sox to focus on the 3b issue. Contreras will play solid defense while adding a little pop. Their young players are going to get better. They're heading in the right direction
