They drafted him 3rd round 80th overall and yet he has the potential to be one of the best 3rd round defensive defenseman in nhl history. Thank you Canucks for this young stud

  1. Not even close to being the best 3rd round dman in Canucks history, Alex Edler says hello. But one can always hope he surpasses his ceiling.

  2. If we truly are rebuilding, then this management group seems suited to it. They have managed to find great value deep into the draft. EP25 is a great example of that.

    Likewise it seems like Cootes is really surpassing expectations at every level, hopefully he is great for years to come.

  3. What’s a realistic projection for him? It’d be great if he could be a top-four shutdown guy but a solid 3rd pair D would still be a W

  4. This is the Petey I like. He is gonna be good for us. Really good. Lets not forget he is 21 yrs old already playing one of the hardest positions in hockey. He will have his moments as he learns but he will be very solid.
