For those thinking Daniel Jones is out for 12 months, he ain’t.

  1. I dont even know if thats anything to look forward to and I hate to sound like that. Our offense was spiraling way before he went out. I get mad thinking about how many chances we had to win games after the bye week lol.

  2. This is a mistake, but the Colts don’t really have any other option. That’s the risk you run when you trade 2 first round picks

  3. Unfortunately this means we’re stuck with this dogshit GM and a coach who loses every time we play our biggest games.

  4. Have to let this offseason play out. Half a season of great play before breaking down shouldn’t guarantee shit with Jones

  5. He can be back but he’s not gonna be 100 percent by the time the season starts next year.

Obviously I hope he can but nobody has been 100 percent in that little time span. It’s gonna take till offseason after next year for him to be back to normal.

  6. You want him to get re-injured? Or hurt something else compensating? Under a year for an Achilles is delusional, even with the new bridge surgery

  7. Sports are a hobby. They don’t provide food on our table or pay our bills.

It doesn’t matter how long jones takes to get back because i have other interests. If how quick Daniel jones comes back is your only source of happiness, bruh

  8. Does it matter? He’s played a full season one singular time in his entire career. Tearing his Achilles definitely isn’t gonna make him more healthy lol

  9. Jones was at his best pre fibula injury and the PA boot game and RPOs were a stable of the Offense , he maybe be cleared to play in 8 months but he will not be anywhere close to as mobile as he was .

The jones we see next year will be much closer to the hobbled version of Jones we saw . This sucks

  10. It doesn’t mean he’ll be ready 100 percent in that moment. An Achilles tear is really different than the ACL tear Aaron Rodgers couldn’t play well until this year and same for Kirk Cousins I know that DJ is younger but it’s not easy recovering from that.

  11. Everyone says it’s not a full year injury anymore but every time someone comes back from it, it’s so obvious that they’re not the same player they were pre injury and it actually does take probably more than a year to go back to their previous form

  12. Isnt really about that. Moreso about how every achilles return has very obvious weakness on that side and is still visibly affected by the injury even after being cleared to play.

  13. Yeah and then how long until he gets hurt? He’s just as injury prone as Richardson if not worse.

  14. For context, Ar’Darius Washington, whom I’m sure no one has ever heard of, has recorded all of 1 tackle this season.

Rushing back onto the field after a torn Achilles is possible, no denying that. It’s been done repeatedly. But there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that it takes a year+ to come back from that injury and not look terrible. Many players NEVER fully come back from that injury (Remember Marlon Mack and Dallis Flowers?). Rodgers took a season and a half to look decent. Kirk just had his first good game in almost 2 years.

If the Colts plan is to hitch their wagon to Daniel Jones being the first player to ever successfully come back from a torn Achilles in such a short timeframe….that’s an extraordinarily dumb plan, but very on brand.
