The recent blockbuster trade and team success has brought out the fairweather, bandwagon fans, who dont understand our quarter-century rich history. I suppose I'll preface my proposal with some context.

April 30, 2014 – Nino Niederreiter produces the most beautiful sound known to man as the Wild stun the Avs to advance out of the first round.

Dec 24, 2019 – Christmas comes early. After months of scouting and deliberation, the Wild shock the NHL by acquiring Victor Rask from the canes for Nino Niederreiter, in a straight swap deal. Lauded GM Paul Fenton receives high praise for getting a player with a higher career PPG who can also play center.

2019 – Rask vows to bring the wild their first championship. The Wild roster fail to adapt to Rasks game.

2020 – Covid

2021 – v1Ctor Rask emerges despite his detractors. A large group of trolls that are overly obsessed with point production and quickness apply pressure to the wild front office to sell high on Rask.

2022 – The newest NHL team, the Seattle Kracken, attempt to recreate the success of the last vegas golden knights. They trade their furture considerations to the Wild to obtain Rask.

2023 – Lionel Messi's move to the MLS is quickly overshadowed by Rasks decision to join the Swiss hockey league.

2024 – Rask expresses regret about never achieving a Stanley Cup. He elects to step away from hockey until wild assemble a roster that would allow him to fulfill his promise.

Today – The wild are buzzing. They dont just have a superstar, they have several. Their defense is elite. Their goaltending is elite. Their depth is producing every night.

The time is now. Fulfill the prophecy.

Bring v1Ctor Rask home.

or Ryan O'Reilly if we can get him at a reasonable price.

  1. This guy broke two of his fingers while making dinner, what made Fenton think that he was the guy over Nino?

  2. What do you mean “or Ryan O’Reilly if we can get him at a reasonable price”. We’ve already had that bum and he put up 0 points for us. He should pay us for the privilege!

  3. This is exactly how I recall the timeline. People forget that it was the same future considerations we got in the Rask Trade that we used to bring in Vladimir Tarasenko, who is the hottest goal scorer in the league since the first week of December ended
