He’s just looked tired the last couple three weeks anyway. Im sure the experience was valuable but I thought it was just rest that caused him to pop off after the four nations last year, I bet he’ll look great after Christmas

But on the serious, I did see a few comment in the GDT noticed something wasn’t right with Leo past 2-3 games and suspected he’s nursing a minor injury

Obviously we’d all prefer to have him on the ice, but I’m fine with this. Letting him get a little extra rest prior to this mini-break is probably better for the long run. With this team potentially making a push for the playoffs + not really getting a February break due to being on the 1st or 2nd line for Sweden in the Olympics, I wouldn’t be shocked if Leo got a few more nights off every now and then throughout the season
