  1. Face facts…The season is done! I'm glad Conner got his 300th goal but the only way to turn this into a winning season is to finish last place and win the draft lottery!!! Coming in 8th and getting the last playoff spot does what? It gives you the opportunity to get swept four straight by Colorado!! Dump or trade at least a third of the current players at the end of the season and start fresh next year!!

  2. #1- Chevy has to be gone. Not a team problem, not a player problem it's a GM and Ownership Problem. HE OF ALL PEOPLE. should have known the impact a Ehlers, Tanev, Appleton and no youth movement from Moose prospects that have already played their first games in the NHL and even Stanley Cup playoffs. Who put the current roster together. Been there Done That on more than 1 occasion in over the last 15yrs.

#2- Depending on his wife’s condition, RICK BOWNESS should be the new GM. , only a 1 1/2 yr contract. Balance this year and one year to work with Arniel to get the team back on track. He knows the majority of the players. He knows the culture he was trying to establish, has a good relationship with Arniel. He has been watching the games and probably knows the best moves to make and is not afraid to make them. RICK HAS ALREADY SHOWN THAT HE HAS CORRECTED CHEVYS' ERRORS

    a) think of the difference he made to Morrisey. basically elevating his recognition as a good defensemen to one of
    the top in the league.
    b) will call out players who are dogging it.
    c) courage to change captains, again getting the best out of Lowry. Will get him back on track.

Could add life and credibility to the upper management of the Jets organization. They can't walk away from the responsibility of allowing Chevy to disintegrate a potential championship game

the other alternative that I would look at seriously if Bowness is out of the running. PAUL MAURICE

    NEVER SAY NEVER

  3. 14:55 Actually, last year, the Jets had zero comeback wins when trailing after multiple goals in the third period. In fact, save for Game 7 against the Blues, the Jets last multi-goal comeback in the third period came at Carolina on March 2, 2024. They were down 3-0 and scored 5 unanswered goals in the third period.

Not to mention, historically, this team is not great at coming back when trailing after periods. In 2022-23, they were 4-23-0 when trailing after 2. In 23-24, they were 4-17-2. They were the best team last season, but their record when trailing after 2 was one of the worst in the league at 2-16-1. And this year, it's 1-13-1. That's a combined record of 11-69-4 over the last 3.5 seasons.

They don't have the talent that can create and ad-lib to help get the team back in the game. They are a system team. They look good when the system is working. But when it's not, and another team makes them uncomfortable and puts them behind, they don't have the talent to bring the team back when the system fails.

  4. Hate to say it but lowery may not ever be the same player after the surgery and maybe perfettti as well! The Pearson Toews Nyquist replacements for ehlers tanev appleton and Gustafson is a complete failure! Why would you not try and keep last years team together? Chevy after a couple of years of good choices should be gone!

  5. Lowry did a fly by in the first as result of a goal. He ain’t the same player. That hip surgery is a noted career killer. His contract is gonna sour.

  6. Lowry was out there to win the face off and change off, a strategy that they have used successfully in the past. When he lost the face off he was lost out there because he wasn't supposed to be there.

  7. Nobody has mentioned Vilardi's poor effort or the fact that Pionk failed to deny the pass across on the 2-1 which is a cardinal rule of hockey.

  8. I am pretty sure that Lowry was trying to disrupt that Rush and continue on to the bench for a change. Sadly it didn't work and things went very poorly.

  9. I'm convinced that no one from Ownership to Fans have a clue what Perfetti's skillset actually is and no one is going to mention he has 4th line over-the-hills players surrounding him, is the only guy under 25, and the only guy on the team being punished for his play?
Team is a joke, they'd put Stanley over Makar…
