TY King. What you did in 2 weeks was nothing short of impressive

  1. It has been so fun watching grandpa score touchdowns on some top tier defenses. Thanks for making the games watchable after Jones goes down and Riley has the leg injury. It got pretty dark but the signing of Rivers brought us back.

  2. Yeah he at least made 2 weeks of this season great. When we were 8-2 things were fun and these past 2 weeks were fun. At least we can take that with us, right? Right…

  3. Man, coming in peace as a Chargers fan. Honestly shed a few tears feeling all nostalgic watching Grampa Phil out there throwing darts, celebrating, and no doubt delivering some of the finest trash talk a new generation of players has never before experienced. Thank you, Phil, and the Colts, for extending the joy of watching Rivers on the field.

  4. The mid 2000’s era was the NFL I fell in love with, and just listening to him command the offense like that, especially pre snap was such a treat. We might of lost, but it was not because of Uncle Phil. He played his heart out and the defense let him down two weeks in a row.

Did everything he could. He’s the only reason to watch these next two games.

  6. I know it’s borderline silly

If Shane is canned I think this guy would be a hell of a coach. And before anyone says it’s nuts – coaching is in his DNA, players do rally around him, hes forgotten more about the game and the ins/outs than most players know, and knows at least one side of the ball really really well. Often times these types don’t have the patience or are well off enough not to care. Think that’s different with Phil. But seriously, what’s the difference between him and say a Liam Coen?

  7. As a San Diego Chargers fan this brought me back to the NFL this year, watching him sling it brought back beautiful memories from when he was in San Diego. I wish the defense showed up for him this past two games, and seeing him giving it his all the rest of the team letting him down brought me back some PTSD moments while he was still playing with the chargers. Still much love and wish well this year and next.

  8. Thank you Colts for letting my boy Rivers sport that #17 jersey one more time. Classy organization. Thank you for real. 😢

  9. Rivers did everything he could these past two weeks. The defense, OL, and WRs were the reasons why we lost. Yes rivers had a few INTs but about 1 out of 3 was his fault.

  10. chargers fan here – I feel like our teams will always be intertwined because of Rivers. Sucks the defense couldn’t hold up because he has been playing his ass off the past few games. Thanks for taking care of him and really hope yall can make the playoffs. We’ll try and beat Houston for you

  11. Chargers fan here (and after these past two weeks and the 2020 season, also kind of a colts fan). I still believe you guys will make the playoffs with Phil. I don’t know why I just feel it in my gut. Either way I will always love the Colts for letting Rivers come back and play, it has made this season so special.

  12. I hope he gets to at least be on the team next year for his leadership. It’s needed.
