He was apparently a piece the Rays really liked. Elite bat to ball skills. Good to add some bats to the farm. Literally every bat we have in the system underachieved last year.
Picked up a couple bats in that trade that have really high level contact skills. Love it.
As a producer myself I am sold on him
Articles about outside pursuits like this really don’t have me sold on a prospect panning out, especially when he has no minor league stats yet. Yes, Wemby has interests other than basketball… but he also has clear dedication to basketball and wanting to be as great as possible at it. I honestly don’t hate it
got some bangers ngl and he’ll hit some for us on the field soon enough. star player in the trade for me and easily makes the trade worth it
