  6. I spent over half my weekend doing a study on injuries inflicted by team. I found a spreadsheet that had games missed due to injury, and I was able to derive date of injury and the team guilty of inflicting the injury.

    My data analysis said the Panthers were the second dirtiest team with 84 injuries inflicted between 2021 and 2024 (canes had like 60). Tragically, this spreadsheet had a hard cutoff at the end of the 2023/24 season and didn’t include playoffs. This leaves 1333 injuries in the past 4 years without a team against ID.

    If anyone finds a spreadsheet with the missing seasons/playoffs and either game injured or first game missed, please please let me know.

  8. We *need* to respond after what Florida did by saying fuck the score, fill our holes in the roster with AHL/ECHL guys and send a message. Rod will instead have us play a good game where Aho/Ehlers/Bussi will get injured and DOPS will do nothing. Despite the kind of players both Rod and Gleason were, I have 0 faith in them doing anything here.

  12. I don’t like dooming, but we didn’t win the last 2 games and we are in a significantly worse shape than we were during those games. DOPS isn’t doing shit, and I wish we would be the ones to start fighting back. Don’t even know if I’m gonna watch this one tbh. I only say this because I hate seeing my team getting freely injured and bossed around.

  18. Either we learn to build a six goal lead, at bare minimum, against these scumbags or we learn to accept that we’re going to have to accrue fines and suspensions and penalties to protect ourselves.

    The league shows no signs of stopping them.

    Having said that, I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re blown out. Down a number of people, Florida already gives us fits as much as I detest and loathe them, and there may be a level of demoralization there.

    If we can build and keep a multi goal lead, who knows.

  23. As much as I hate to say it, Binnington has that level of spite to take out players who get near him. (Not calling for a trade, I just know Bussi is too calm for that crap)

  25. I understand Rod doesn’t want us to be a “dirty” team. But to a certain point, things won’t change until we have a dedicated enforcer. Hall can hit, staal can hit, miller can hit, for one game, let them off their chain and say hey…. No mercy

  27. Idc if our team takes all the fines and suspensions in the world. Teams need to start exposing the league’s hypocrisy, favoritism, or its own ineptitude with this shit. Somehow it’s all gotta be exposed and nothing will happen if we keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. I hate the idea of intentionally injuring players but I don’t see another way for this to stop.

  29. You guys are delusional if you think we are going to retaliate. This team isn’t built for that and Rod won’t let them even if they wanted to. Letting your goalie get speared in the nuts and doing nothing is pathetic, but I have zero hope it’ll change.

  30. After tomorrow’s game the list will be even longer if they don’t grow a pair and bow up. And if Rod is always the reason we don’t retaliate then I’m ready to send him down the road too.

    The fact the league has done less than the bare minimum is an even bigger joke. Oh, that’s right, they still employ Colin Campbell, despite the very public proof of him being a biased piece of shit who isn’t afraid to abuse his power.

    This won’t end until someone royally fucks up one of their players. Of course, whomever does it will get suspended, and the league will feign shock, but these chickenshits haven’t been held to account. If someone on their team wants to be a little bitch after the whistle, tear them up, take the penalty. Respect them as much as they deserve.

    Start targeting heads and knees. Yes, that sounds shitty and no, I don’t care. You want to shut a bully down, you punch him in the mouth.

  33. As much as I want us to respond, I know we won’t. It’s not something we do. It’s not something we have ever done (sans the home game against the Rangers after Cullen was hit by Orr). We have the reputation as the ‘Candy Canes’ for a reason. Smith is injured, and for those wanting to call up Turcotte, he isn’t even signed to an NHL contract. We will be “lucky” to get a single, ‘meh’ fight tomorrow against Greer or someone on his line, but that will be it. We don’t respond to this shit, and it’s embarrassing, it has always been embarrassing.
