  1. Was no way expecting a goal like that by Hayes but it was very sweet. Have always thought those OT/Shootout points are very valuable and to not practice it doesn't make sense. Coach Bylsma possibly looked at it this way and practiced this a lot. There was a time when Geno and Sid were automatic. Also Fleury was maybe one of best shootout goalies in league. It will take a little time but it good to see Pens practice it once again. Very smart

  2. when I saw him I said oh no are we serious, but I’ll also be the one to say don’t use the same shooters, hockey fans can never be happy it seems, but just sit back and watch and what do you know, Kevin Hayes man.

  3. My first thought about Haysey coming out was "what the?" "Well, he must be looking the best in practice?"
I wish Sid would come straight down the middle with speed, not that I'm anyone to advise one of the GOATs

  4. Good morning DK, respectfully, I disagree with you on your take when you said "….Sidney Crosby and Malkin so locked in like a game…" Those two, and too many others, shooters do not slow down to a turtle crawl, deek back and forth twelve times, and try to out-smart the goalie! The only time I have EVER seen a player come remotely close to a breakaway like that way against the Ducks last year in OT when a Ducks player feel down by the boards in his own zone, coughed up the puck, Sid eventually got it just in front of the net, and did a back and forth multiple times, then lifted the puck up to the the goalies blocker side to win the game. I know you'll remember that play. Not because it was an OT win, moreso because it was a gorgeous Sid play, a different gorgeous Sid play. (Although if you remember it being in OT first, trust me, nothing held against you lol) Blessings always Dan, Victor from 🇨🇦 🍁

  5. It's always about teamwork. It's not about next man up. It's about everybody carrying the burden, working together. When you see the other team standing around, it means they are ready for us. When we stand around, it seems we are waiting for them to score. I don't necessarily blame the goalies or defense, I blame the offense for not having the puck and scoring, especially when we get blown out. There is a lot of blame to go around during a losing streak. When we win, it's called criticism.
