C-Mac Sounds the Alarm on the Yankees Offseason

C-Mac breaks down the Yankees offseason buzz and explains why the frustration from fans is louder than the reality on the field. Reacting to reports from Ken Rosenthal and comments from Jeff Passan, C-Mac digs into the idea that the Yankees are “lurking” while doing very little publicly.

He explains why the Paul Blackburn move is fine but meaningless, why the Yankees vs. Mets noise is exhausting, and why no rival move has truly changed the landscape yet. The biggest issue, according to C-Mac, is how the entire market feels frozen while one decision hangs over everything.

That decision is Cody Bellinger.

Are the Yankees smart to wait, or are they playing a dangerous game that could cost them trade options? C-Mac lays out why patience still makes sense right now, why panic is premature, and what finally ends this offseason stalemate.

  1. Issue with Yankees is they brought in plenty of talent but Mr May Judge choked it away every yr. Yankees have collapsed in June-July for past 4 consecutive seasons bc your best hitter stops hitting until the following April.

  2. 2 MUST moves. FIRE CASHMAN. DFA Giancarlo to create roster/lineup flexibility. We need the DH spot for Judge or Dominguez. Play the martian & Spencer Jones to see what we have. Still a mess, but a more flexible one. NYY & Tampa will battle for 4th.

  3. I agree. The AL east teams have made moves but is a Sonny Gray, Dylan Cease, Pete Alonso or Shane Baz making you shiver? Yankees have to let the Bellinger situation play out and make some bench/depth moves.

  4. What's the rush? Isn't it better to make the better move than rush into a bad move.
The reason why things move so slow is cuz there's no salary cap.
And you have people like Boras slowing things down.
Why would the Brewers trade Peralta?
They need him and he's cheap.

  5. I think you should be more concerned with the Red Sox and Orioles just with also the prospects coming up in those organizations having like Trea Savage the full year and especially with the Red Sox they have a loaded farm and Roman Anthony for a full year should be a beauty improvement

  6. If it were my decision. I sign Bo.
A guy who hits for avg, gets on base, and still has pop. A better hitter in general and a hitter this team needs.
It gives yoh the righty bat you need. And he can play SS. Between the MASSIVE upgrade offensively over Volpe, he’ll be fine defensively. Especially with regression defensively for Volpe the past 2 seasons. And sorry, your non throwing shoulder injury doesn’t lead to be at top of league rankings you throwing errors. His wet noodle of an arm does.

Then you can move Bo to 2nd when Lombard or Kilby are ready to be given a shot. And then you aren’t tied to having to sign jazz to long term deal. They can play caballero or Oswaldo at 2nd or go get a defensive minded contact bat at 2nd for next year or 2.

  7. I always enjoy that Chris uses his favorite straw man and treats all Mets fans like what some Mets nut once said .. it makes it rather obvious he is less than even handed with the Mets like he pretends to be

  8. CMAC get the eff out dude. you are being just as delusional as the yankoffs are. The Yankees will finish 4th place in the AL East next to the Rays. Every team has gotten better and the Yankees are arrogantly drowning. Your credibility is taking a hit with your take. You watch. TOR will sign both Tucker and Bichette. Orioles will sign Ranger Suarez and trade for lefty JoJo Romero. BOS will sign back Bregmann and could well get either Donovan or Ketel Marte. Yankees are effed in 2026.

  9. Idk who is having a, at least based on optics, worse offseason. The Mets doing the opposite of what everyone expected them to do(build around the core and focus on pitching) or the Yankees, who have done essentially nothing

  10. You mean Yankees fans like me can whine about the Mets signing former Yankees players, but when Mets fans do it, it's childish? Makes sense to me, LOL.

  11. SPOILER ALERT:
The Yankees are run by a talentless GM who if he had Tampa's payroll would lose 110 games every year.
Don't blame Simple Hal for not allowing this Buffoon to flush more money down the toilet.
Blame Simple Hal for not firing Cashman's incompetent ass a decade ago !!! 🙄

  12. TRADE WHAT? What do the Yankees have to trade? They have NO MLB READY ASSETS on the farm that would fetch an MLB caliber difference maker, whether hitter or pitcher. They don't have the goods. NONE, ZERO, NADA!!

Never mind that they gave up the bulk of their desirable farm prospects (14) in a desperate attempt to salvage the season at the trade deadline. You guys keep talking TRADE when the Yankees don't have anything that would bring back value unless they start to carve into the muscle of the active roster (like Jazz for instance).

Nobody is trading anything valuable for Spencer Jones or Jason Dominguez or Luis Gil. Those guys haven't accomplished JACK SQUAT at the MLB level. In fact the opposite is true. There is serious doubt that they EVER will. The Yankees aren't getting star power back in trade for guys like that. Are you freaking kidding me?
