12/23 Morning Skate – Changes to forward lines. Defense stays the same. Markstrom in starter’s net. Mercer back with Hischier and Meier. Bratt and Palat back with Hughes. Gritsyuk back with Glass and Brown.

2. Nice to see palat will be getting hard carried on l2. How many pucks will the black hole take tonight 🤦‍♀️

3. Need to try to get all 4 lines rolling so I get having Grits on the third but Palat on that Jack line has shown time and again it doesn’t work.

4. Jack and Bratt not being together last game just didn’t feel right

6. I get that the third line has shown some nice chemistry. Maybe try Cotter instead of Palat?

7. Palat only works on the bottom six. Grits works basically everywhere you put him. So sure, let’s put Palat back in the top six where he’s useless and Grits on the third line where he’ll have less ice time. Makes perfect sense

   I’m sure it’s related to easing Grits back in after whatever injury he had, but I’m still gonna be upset about it. I’d rather see Cotter on the second line than Palat. You’ll get the same results either way but at least Cotter can keep up with Jack and Bratt

   Jack and Mercer split up has me curious if Jack’s hand is alright to take faceoffs

    Grits glass Brown is a fantastic line. Hughes and Bratt can carry Palat, and he’s played much better this last little stretch. Hischier line has been proven. 4th line will continue to be dog shit until Glendaning gets waived, regardless of wingers.
