  1. I fully believe he stayed in Detroit the last year because he was waiting for the Bears job to open.

  2. And when he says he hasn’t “really dove in”, what he meant was, he had spent over 100 hours watching every single throw Caleb had made both in NFL and college on a repeat loop and just dreaming of the possibilities.

  3. I think he wanted a rookie quarterback to mold. Caleb was one of theorists opportunities.

He would have went to any of the spots that drafted a qb the same year, except Washington IMO

  4. Does it feel weird to anyone else to see him wearing non-bears attire at a press conference

  5. Literally can’t handle that this dude is in year 1.

Like man. I am so happy to be a Bears fan finally. Doesn’t feel like a curse anymore.

  6. Ben Johnson is my lord and savior, but he speaks highly of key players for every team each press conference he’s in. This didn’t feel much different.

  7. There is a reason why Ben signed with the Bears 2 days after the Lions were eliminated and that reason is Caleb Williams.

I find it funny that some fans thought, even for a moment, that there’s some chance that Johnson would start Bagent over a healthy Williams. The only way that would happen is if there was consistent failure for an extended time with little if any development. That’s clearly not happening.

  8. Not to be pedantic, but Caleb was not that accurate down field last year. He isn’t even that accurate this year. He is lucky Walker isn’t 2 inches shorter.
