  2. This looks exactly like the games. The Tigers have been playing the last three weeks watching them on offense is like going to the dentist and getting a root canal. It’s excruciating They won today because you got almost 8 innings of Sukbal instead of six or seven and the bullpen wasn’t exposed that bad. I still think Cleveland wins the series.

  4. Skubal went god mode and we barely won. Even if we win the series we're not going much further.
    Meanwhile Ilitch will say "see we won a series against the division champs we don't need to make any big moves"

  6. Stop obsessing over the division, that's not relevant at the moment. Go tell that to the 2006 St Louis team that was depilated by injury, including there ace, yet still beat Detroit in the World Series.

  7. Idk… alll I’d say personally is the end of season collapse really killed it for me personally. I’m in no way confident in them. Also in no way am I juiced up like last year… I don’t think the city is either. That fire in the fans isn’t there.

  8. Thank God that Skubal is just THAT good, now what they will do, Mize isn’t THAT dude and you shot your best shot against Ramirez and Kwan, the bats have to wake up, if not, Cleveland most likely will take G2 and G3.

    Somebody other Skubal has to step up, will they, I’m not that confident in that. I’d love to be wrong though.

  12. Listen you f–k. I know Skubal is the best pitcher in the world. But, your team did nothing. Two unearned runs. We should have won 1 to 0.If we win this series, you will need somebody to help you unscrew your head and stick it in your ass. Go Cleveland.

  13. Reese Olson being made of glass has been the achilles heel every year for the Tigers. A Skubal-Olson-Mize rotation can get you 4 wins in a 7 game series. Tigers have to get an 3.50 era innings eater someway this offseason.

  17. Hey, who woulda thought small ball works?! You can’t always rely on sack fly’s, bunt the ball, score the run, period. If any of our 6 hitters actually have a decent game we’re a dangerous team. We have to have to have to pick up the hitting, we cannot leave so many runners on bases, we need em, period

  18. Cleveland’s junk lineup for some reason ALWAYS gives us trouble, these little fluke hits scoring runs, overthrowing first etc always gets us…NOT ANYMORE, we all know who the best team in the central is, let’s ride!!

  19. Skubal pitched a gem and the Tigers only won bc of 2 errors by Cleveland and still almost choked in the 9th. This series is far from over. Yes, Cleveland is garbage but so is Detroit. And the Guardians have the pitching advantage the rest of the way

  20. I don’t need style points in October. Just win the baseball games. Mike is all confident in his Yankees but they might get aced out by Boston. Winning is all that matters in the playoffs.

  23. At first I thought we would get bounced right away. Now, I think we win the Wildcard and ALDS rounds since that series will have 2 Skubal starts. I don’t like the chances in a 7 game series at the moment, but the streaky bats might start lighting up later this week and that could propel this team into one of the top contenders quickly.

  24. Casey Mize has to have his splitter dancing up and down the strike zone like it was before he went on the IL. I’m fulling expecting for him to show out today in Game 2.

  25. This team is limited in every way at the plate. Literally couldn’t score with runners on. No one is clutch. Can’t win a series leaving guys on base with no outs
