1. We have no floor general, we lack maturity, and our coach has glaring offensive scheme limitations.

2. It also don't help when the refs are missing clear fouls on Rockets and not calling anything for the opposing teams like DeRozan double travel on the last play.

8. The biggest factor in the last Nuggets Rockets game, IMO, was Denver missing all three of Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun, and Peyton Watson, their 3 best athletes and defenders. And more specifically, Gordon and Watson, the two guys they would throw at Durant that have done a very good job of containing him in the past. If anyone was surprised that Durant went off, well, you haven't been paying attention. And Murray sucked. When he sucks the Nuggets are still a strong team but not gonna win many games v really good and motivated teams.

9. They need a point guard badly. LD should not be handling the ball in clutch situations.

The clutch minutes/games we’ve dropped is a direct correlation to missing Fred 😢 I think it’s as simple as that..they’ll figure it out hopefully 🙏 but also continuity and reps matter, these dudes are playing like the best team in the NBA for 44 minutes 😂 and then turn into a 🎃 for the rest of the game 😂 and another massive shituation is the second night of back to backs like wtffff 🤬

Pretty sure this KD getting trapped near half court and not able to make a pass thing is because earlier in the season he was trying to get the ball in the high post and they couldn't do that either, he was either getting bumped way off his spot or they'd hard double off amen or okogie. Cause KD really shouldn't be iso'ing from that high up anymore, he's not fast enough to get around guys anymore and he really isnt great at passing. They need to go back to the high post and actually find a way to get him the ball instead of just giving up on it.

20. Biggest takeaway from this vid: a pg isnt needed if you have shotcreating wings/bigs. A pg is essentially just a smaller dude on the floor who's a defensive liability.

It's a freaking shame that at the NBA level dudes not taking adavantage of traps………If its a ball screen, short roll + the two men one pass away need to rotate from corner to wing shorten the pass. If it's a non ball screeen just have a guy: Middle, behind/parallel, in front and lastly, diagonal/opposite. KD stinks at passing vs pressure but to his defense, alot of the times guys just stay corner and only the short roll man is an option. Out of trapped ball screens would love to see th corner men quickly lift up, KD get out his hands quickly to them and then the short roller dive all the way to the rim. Hard to watch Rockets not be able to carve teams up that do this.

If Nuggets play Rockets in playoffs,Gordon and Watson will neutralize Durant completely.I have no doubt about that.Trend last few years with Durant is he disappears in clutch pretty much.Similar to Curry he is guaranteed to turn the ball over in crucial moments.Old now and relies on flopping more than ever and running his bitchy mouth😊

29. Very insightful stuff man. Defense, turnovers and scoring efficiency in clutch have killed Rockets in December. Rockets should make a trade and another signing (FA) to shake up this team and ramp up the urgency.

    Ware adds another 7 footer with 7'5 wingspan weaponizing Rockets preference of playing 2 big lineups WITH spacing. Ware and Larsson also improve Rockets 3P%. Trading Jabari also frees up more salary space to sign/trade option for vet PG (injury exception).

    Trade Jae'Sean Tate and/or Capela for 2nd round pick(s). Sign Ben Simmons to run 2nd unit. Neither Tate nor Simmons can shoot 3P worth a d@mn but Simmons will mitigate their huge turnovers issue and lean into Rockets strengths – length, physicality, switch defense, rebounding, transition offense.

30. Sengun is best on hedging and recovering. But that’s a scheme team has to follow. Turkey did use it in the summer and Houston actually tried it at the start of the season and they were good imo.

31. It’s hilarious that there have been free lane excuses for ime when it comes to offensive scheme competence. He sucks as an offensive coach. But he’s been able to escape Boston with “inexperience” escaped last year with “Jalen green is ass” this year it’s “we don’t have a PG” the signs are there yall just don’t dive into the game like you should.
