Who cares whose team it is? That’s just a loaded question with no real right answer other than to stir the pot. Cohen owns the team, Stearns deploys who plays for it and Mendy decides on where and when. Concentrate on execution, bringing guys in who can execute and be cohesive. It doesn’t matter “whose team it is.”
David "Stir the pot" Streans
As a hardcore Mets fan and an Three tour Iraq combat veteran as an American soldier I WANT MY LEADER AND CAPTAIN IN ME. FRANCISCO LINDOR
Neither of them can do anything if they don’t improve the pitching staff, and so far, they have not.
It’s Steve Cohens Team
This team didn't need to be blown up. Just re- tooling . How about some starting pitching that could go more than three innings? Blame it all on the core and start canning them. I would bet my life that the 2026 team of bums being "assembled" by Stearns is out of it by the all star break.
Here's your 2026 New York Mets folks.
At 1st. Mark Vientos. 2nd. is a guy ready for a rocking chair at 38 Seiman or Palanco, who isn't much of an upgrade. Shortstop is Lindor(unless he's traded) and 3rd base Greg Batey, who's the best of the bunch going forward. Alvarez will be catching 3 rookie starters and whatever else the Mets can get off the scrap heap.
Your outfield will be the highest priced DH in history Soto in right, Taylor in center platooning with someone (who knows) and in left field who knows after Nimmo was traded.
So there you have it folks, your 2026 Mets with a projected .400 winning percentage.
Enjoy. This coming from a fan of 60 years and can see how this team is being structured on the cheap . Uncle Steve has lost 100+million the last 2 years on this team. The main reason Uncle Steve paid Soto was 2 fold. First was like renting a valuable piece of art to display and two, the main reason is Uncle Steve is opening his casino in another 5 years. Having Soto there to greet the guests would be huge for business -just saying.
Stupid ass question from yours truly
Both of them they are both on the mets😅
More pressure? – Soto
Leader of the Mets? – Lindor
Wardy is a clown 🤡
Wouldn’t be surprised if Lindor asks for a trade at some point, soon. Wheels are coming off this thing.
