Since this has come up in several recent posts regarding the linebackers, with several people asserting that Nakobe is wearing the green dot, I wanted to attempt to put this to bed.

Here are some pics from the Raiders game, posted on Zack’s/Eagles social media, where the green dot on his helmet is clearly visible.

Also, Fangio has mentioned it several times in his pressers. He talks about how Nakobe wore it last year until he went down, and Baun has had it since.

Can people please stop asserting that Nakobe Dean wears the green dot and trying to use that as an indicator that we’re going to trade Baun and sign Dean? Thank you.

  2. Why would we trade buan? If anything we keep Dean and buan and give Campbell another year to develop (he is not good in pass rush or run defense right now). What would be smart is to not resign buan after the 2026 season, buan’s contract he signed before the 2025 season was basically a 2 year contract, he has no guarantee money after the 2026 season. Let Campbell cook on the bench and special teams and be a depth guy and then in 2027 season he can start next to dean.

  3. Yeah people who think Dean, a player who was out last year and beginning of this year, wears the green dot are dumb lol. It is very obviously Baun and has been since Dean’s injury last year.

    Side note: Coop said in an interview the other day that Baun is Fangio’s favorite player on the team and the only one he doesn’t really yell at

  15. why is this even a discussion, even if both were pending free agents. Baun is a top 5 LB in the NFL today. Dean is a good LB with some shortcomings, who is being utilized MASTERFULLY by Fangio. Baun is the much more important player on the D, it’s no question.
